Fair Creek #0.5

Her Billionaire Cowboy's Twin Heirs

Rate this book
A cowboy returns to his hometown, reconnects with his high school crush, and unexpectedly becomes the guardian of his sister's twin babies. Can Caleb and Annie find a way to become a family and see a happily-ever-after in their future this Christmas?

Caleb Galloway arrives home to Fair Creek a few days before Christmas to try to work out a land deal. He recently discovered his girlfriend back home in California stole from him--running up his credit cards behind his back. When he is unexpectedly named the guardian of twins, he finds himself leaning on his high school crush, Annie York, who volunteers to help.

Annie returned home to Fair Creek to work in her cousin's diner, after she lost her reporter job. But her ex abandoned her years ago, and she's broke and struggling alone to support their daughter, Chloe. When Caleb becomes guardian of twin babies, Annie's maternal instincts kick in and she offers to help care for them, arranging for him to live in the apartment next door to hers.

They barely knew one another in school, but Caleb always admired Annie from afar, and spending time with her and his niece and nephew deepens his feelings for her. But in high school, she barely knew he existed.

Can their relationship evolve into a friendship--and perhaps becoming a family? Or is Caleb's heart in danger because Annie's "baby love" may not extend to the twins' cowboy uncle as well?

Too short

This story has so much potential but the book fealt rushed. I would love to give it a higher rating but some things on the sidelines are left unfurnished. If you want a quick afternoon read to just switch off then by all means get this one.

Babies make everything better!

A sweet, quick story that will melt your heart. Little Ella and Drew need their Uncle Caleb something awful and he has no clue how to take care of babies. Annie is a friend from years ago and offers to teach him how to care for them. Her little girl Chloe was wanted siblings but that hasn’t happened. Could they make a new little family in just a day? Read and find out.

This was my first book by Ms. Shouse and I enjoyed it very much. Can’t wait until the next one.

Home is Where the Heart is -
This is a heartwarming story about how a rambunctious dog brought two lost souls together in a complicated situation, but fate had other ideas for them, which led to them to creating a beautiful family. If you are looking for feel good romance with a HOT cowboy and adorable cute kids, then grab a copy of this book now, as you won’t be disappointed. This is a new author for me and I must say it’s been very enjoyable reading this story.

I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved the small town. They seemed like real family. Always there to help and do more than asked. The way the twins were cared for by someone who had a lot of responsibility herself was touching. I would have fallen for the total pkg too

Love the whole story. Small town love, guidance and a wonderful group of friends. It’s always a treat to be able to feel the loving hearts come together. Old friends finding each other after so many years. Love this writer- first read for me.

Good story

A short story of 12 chapters. It seems to conclude fairly quickly. I'm hoping the author will add an epilogue sometimes. Did he get to keep the babies? Did the girl succeed @ rehab?
A good story of hope, with an HEA. A small community pitched in to help.

Quick read

Loved this book because it moved very quickly and showed a town coming together and helping one another. I was disappointed when it ended because I wanted to know more about this cowboy and his new family.

How love came to two people from a small-town after a reunion.

This is one sweet read. I really love this book because the storyline was heartfelt and remarkable along with increditable and interesting characters. It is also a page turner.

Hero's gaining custody of sister's children was an abrupt event. Stretching it that she would offer to have him come to her house.
1 day to make a commitment to each other. ?
Book could/should be expanded for more than 1 day.
Enjoyable.

Read in 1 hr.

A very simple book, read in 1hr, I'm glad I got it for free as I wouldn't have been happy paying. Its as if its a outline of a story waiting to be filled in there is no depth, no character growth bits of story line missing.

Who says nothing happens in a small town? It does, and it can happen fast. I enjoyed this ride and am looking forward to the author’s sequel. A number of interesting storylines await development.

Short and a bit too sweet. In the course of one afternoon a whole happily ever after is nearly fully wrapped up. A bit silly and rushed.

Reads like a short story.

Needs much more character development and plot. I was disappointed that we did not learn much about the characters backgrounds.

Enjoyed This Book

I enjoyed reading this book but it doesn't feel complete. It is just a tale of two people meeting and helping each other in time of need but then what?

Fell in love with the characters and the storyline. Overall I loved the book but I wanted a little more ‘feels’ here and there. The second half seemed a bit rushed for me.

I really didn't care for this read. It had good characters, realistic situations to a point. Then story went downhill.

A short but lovely story. It compressed things to fit the length, but enjoyed it.
