This is a review of the 107 chapters of the manwha that I've read so far.
I surprisingly enjoyed this and think it's very under-rated. This is a action and plot orientated story.
I'm not going to give it 5* as I would've liked the romance to be more developed but this is a solid read regardless. It's the slowest of the slow burns. 7 seas have picked this up and it's official English release is meant to come out at the end of 2024 so things might change in the future.
I think if you like any of mxtx's work then you should give it a go.
Now onto watch the donghua on YouTube to see it's just as good.

5 volúmenes, 5!! ¿Qué con cuatro llegaba? Sí.
Para que mentir, esta novela se me ha hecho eterna, la historia es interesante, pero peca una y mil veces de parrafada innecesaria, de historia, de dar vueltas sobre lo mismo….
En una Tierra Divina (China) sin maná, el último gran exorcista intenta devolver la magia al mundo, pero solo tras encontrar a su Protector. La historia mezcla exorcista, magia, yao, y peleas por igual, con un toque muy desmenuzado de romance hasta case el final de esta.
Cheng Xing es un amor y en seguida se hace querer por los personajes y los lectores, su inocencia es realmente como la Lampara del Corazón que posee, iluminando el camino para proteger la Tierra Divina del dios de las Armas.
Sin embargo, la longitud de esta novela casi consigue que la abandone en más de una ocasión. ¿Qué por qué no lo hice? Quería saber como terminaba, pues, aunque le sobran muchos párrafos (incluso capítulos), la historia de base es entretenida y quieres realmente saber que esta pasando y cómo van a solucionarlo.
Por otro lado, los personajes son agradables de leer y todos tienen su propio papel en la trama. También presenta varios giros que, aunque sin ser explosivos, logran que mantengas el interés.
Así, la gran pregunta es: ¿quiero leer la otra novela de este universo? Por historia diría que sí, pero solo el notar que la siguiente también consta de cuatro tomos, si no más, reconozco que no estoy preparada para más texto y texto sin fin.
