HARPER I vowed I’d never return to Ardmore Academy. After all, this is the scene of the crime. The news called it a harmless prank, but there was nothing harmless about the glint in Emren Lyness’ eye as he ruined my life. Overnight, I went from a child star to an international laughing stock. It turned me into a meme, a source of mockery. And it’s all his fault. Back then, Emren Lyness was a schoolyard bully. Today, he’s turned bullying into a professional gig. I thought I had enough bad luck for a lifetime, but I thought wrong: Emren’s assigned to me, and there’s nothing I can do about it. I’ve spent a decade filled with spite and hatred so smoldering I could set him ablaze. But I never imagined, not in a million years, that our close proximity would billow flames of a different kind. And now that I know his secret, I only have one question: Will we fight the fire, or let it burn?

EMREN I don’t play; I obsess. My daily routine unfolds with military precision– and if you knew why, you’d understand. I need strict order and discipline to carry the weight of the world. Hard work is a foreign concept to someone like Harper Tate, but what happened 10 years ago served a much higher purpose. I just should’ve remembered that no bad deed goes unpunished. Because now I’m in charge of her... and to put it mildly, she's not a fan. I’m her Nephilim, her hired purity guardian, and it’s my job to ensure she meets her scholarship demands, whether she likes it or not. But no one warned me about her sharp tongue. Or her beauty. No one told me that I’d itch to put her over my knee for more than just discipline. And as the weeks pass and a new threat looms, I have to wonder if I want her under my thumb... or if I just want her under me.

Hell’s Bells is Book 2 in the Rogues to Riches series by Calla Claire. It's a steamy, new adult, college bully romance novel that features alpha males, bullies, bodyguards, feisty heroines, and an enemies-to-lovers dynamic. Each book can be read as a standalone.
HEA guaranteed... if you don't scream in the darkness.
Hells Bells is book 2 in The Rogues to Riches series and this book focuses on Harper & Emren. Harper has a bit of a bitter of backstory with Emren. One scholarship at Ardmore Academy later and now Harper is under the protection of Emren unfortunately. Which doesnt seem to go well because they rub each other up the wrong way but thats what i liked about them in this book. Their banter together. Under all of that gruffness Emren is actually a pretty decent guy especially with his family. I really liked their relationship and overall i enjoyed reading their book. A good read
ARC review: This book is the second installment of the series. Let me tell you, it only gets better. This story is about Harper and Emren enemies-to-lovers romance. Harper relives her trauma from high school when she discovers that her old bully (Emren) is now her Nephilim. The reunion starts off rocky but progresses beautifully as their story unravels and they discover that love always has a way of finding you, even if you feeling like you don’t deserve it. And don’t even get me started on the spicy scene. A must read if you are into dark-bully romances.
This is the 2nd book in this series, and this is Emren and Harper’s journey. When Harper was a child star who became the laughingstock after a prank by Emren, who loved to make her life miserable. Now 10-years later Harper is now sassy, and feisty, and she is back at Ardmore Academy, where fate has destined to have her cross paths with Emren again, as he is assigned to become her Nephilim protector, whose job it is to ensure that she meets the demands of her scholarship. Harper still has a grudge against him, and these two push each other to their limits. Can these two move on from enemies / lovers? This is a well written story which has secrets, bullying, tension, close proximity, twists, lies, emotions, and leads to a steamy and riveting page turner. This book follows Harper and Emran, they met years ago and he made her life miserable so when they meet again she is still holding a grudge for what he did and he isn't happy that she is back in his life. the story itself is cute, the other stuff is a bit weird like she is 20 in college but is forced to go to this one with no contact to outside world unless it writing letter to your family. no phones, no internet, no current magazines or newspaper. The Nephilim that are bodyguards or something like that that follow the students, like I said weird but amazing story line and characters. this is book 2 and i didn't read the first one but I will now, I can't wait to see which Idle is next
I liked this one more than the first. Emren comes off as a mean and slightly deranged person, but he is a big softie! I liked seeing his role as protector and how much he wanted to treat Harper right.
Reasons I Recommend:
1) Creepy. People watching you sleep, secrets, and strange noises… don’t scream in the darkness indeed
2) I have a soft spot for the responsible single dad vibe and Emren hit that and
3) Seeing how the other Idle Hands work together to protect Harper really shows how they are trying to deal with the changes at the school.
I loved book 1 of the series. But I think I love this one even more! Emren was somehow loveable even though he effectively ruined Harper’s career at a young age. Her bad luck leads her back to Ardmore and you guessed it, her hired bodyguard (virtue protector really) is the same boy that embarrassed her right out of town in her early teens. But while he’s definitely no picnic, she is full of sass and the tension between them is hot! But of course with the elite school for elite college students, there is mystery, secrets, and lies. Lots of twists and turns and some excellent spicy time in this one. And the ending tied up everything so well!
Hell’s Bells is Book 2 in the Rogues to Riches series. It's a steamy, college bully romance story that brings Emran and Harper from enemies-to-lovers. Harper is back at Ardmore Academy where she never thought she would end back up at but life has other plans. Harper left that school after a boy played a prank/bullied her and when she returns she never thought that he would be assigned to be her nephilim. So he is like her bodyguard for the semester and watches over her.

I find the Ardmore world mysterious and alien, a gilded prison for more than what the outside world considers priviledged children - it is also a different kind of limitation for the Nephilim and the teachers.
This a story about survival - with grit, pretense and determination, about beautiful souls and childhood trauma, about ugly souls and brutal agony, and about finding happiness in the ashes of torment.
Short review-This was an awesome book! This is book two of this series and it was just as good as the first one! I was hooked right away and I had a hard time putting this book down! While Calla is still a new author, she is off to an amazing start and I, for one, can't wait to see what happens in the rest of this series!

This is a clear winner in my book. It is dark. It is academia and and it had characters with more baggage than your local airplane hanger, but together these two are absolutely all consuming! I adored this book on so many levels and I am definitely ready for the next book in this series.
Harper has returned to Ardmore and isn't expecting to see Emren. They have a past with each other that they have to work through. Will they be able to get over it all and find each other?
I wasn't too sure about reading book 2, but I'm glad I did. I am not sure but Harper's and Emren story just drew me in. I loved their backstory, their banter. It was a good read.
I love the dark world this author has created at Ardmore. The full plot twists promise to weave through the entire series with a gripping romance in each individual book.
Hell’s Bells is the story of Harper & Emren who have a whole ton of baggage, individually & between each other. Returning to Ardmore, Harper never expected to see Em again, and Em never expected to see Harper so their first encounter obviously isn’t great. However bumpy their story may be, it was great & to be able to have all of the peeks of outside Ardmore was a perfect way to show growth. I loved that everything immediate wrapped up in just this book, but also enjoy the way the series is working together & will hopefully continue to do so. Can’t wait to find out which of the Idle Hands is next!
