Dylan Culderway is more than hockey’s top defenseman. He’s the kind of guy who’s always there to help a friend. Plus, he’s a true gentleman. More importantly, certainly to the ladies, is that Dylan is hot enough to melt ice.

Dylan’s no womanizer, though. He doesn’t have time for love. Seems he’s too busy running away from his past.

Or is he running to his past?

When Dylan meets Chloe Tettersaw, the pretty new girl in town, everything changes. A relationship and love are no longer off the table. But it’s not all smooth sailing. When a mysterious stalker makes Chloe’s life a living hell the couple find themselves, and their burgeoning love, tested.

Little does Dylan know this may be his chance to rewrite history . . . and maybe this time he can make things right.

The past and present are about to collide for Dylan and Chloe.

Are they ready?

Can it heal their damaged souls?

Or will it tear them apart?

Caution on Ice was a different take on the boys on ice I’ve grown to know and love. I’ve been a huge fan of Dylan’s from book one and was super excited to get to his story. He was a huge sweetheart and this book only made me love him more. He suffered from some survivor’s guilt and didn’t hold out much hope of his own happily ever after, until he met and fell for Chloe. I have had a mad amount of respect for her brother, Graham, who I adored when I read Benny’s story, so to realize that his sister was just as amazing as him was simply wonderful. This story was really easy to read. It was low on angst and aside from an abusive ex and a stalker in the midst, it was low on drama as well. It was about two people with huge hearts finding one another and giving each other a real chance at love. It was sweet, beautiful, and very much deserved. My only question now is… will there be a book for Graham? I’m waiting!!

4.5 Stars!

The Review:
I’ve loved every romantic, angsty, sweet and heartfelt moment of this series since book one, but I have to say that I ADORE this book so much and in my opinion, S.R. Grey has totally outdone herself. I’ve watched and admired Dylan Culderway on the sidelines throughout the previous books and to finally have his story was a temptation I couldn’t resist.

Dylan is sweet, charismatic, a little bit damaged and his emotions are stuck in a tragic past. He thinks he couldn’t possibly love or give himself fully ... until he meets Chloe Tettersaw. Chloe is battling her own demons, running from her own past. When she meets Dylan, it starts a fantastic push/pull friendship-turn-hesitant-lovers that has several wonderful, heartfelt and fun get to know you moments, mixed with a little bit of angsts and a little bit of danger and a whole lot of sexy - which of course, is one of my favorite kinds of tropes!

I connected so easily with both Dylan and Chloe and that’s because this author delved deep to get a tangible hold on both of them and wrote them and their story beautifully. It was almost a full circle moment for both of them and my heart broke (and swooned ... the man was HOT) for Dylan, while I was cheering Chloe on as this story plays out, as both of them have to confront their pasts and their fears and as they both fell sweetly, irrevocably in love with one another.

S.R. Grey really knows how to write a romance you can’t help but get consumed by. She knows just how to write the emotions so you “feel” the story. She knows precisely how to write a caring, protective, swoon-worthy hero you can’t help but love and an agreeable heroine who has heart and is easy to connect with. This is just that kind of story and I’m very much looking forward to rereading this one time and again!

**ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review**

An emotionally beautiful sports romance that S.R. Grey has added to her Boys of Winter series. Out of all her books in this series, Caution on Ice was my favorite due to the inner turmoil these two characters go through and the wondrous triumph in the end.

Emotions run high between Dylan Culderway and Chloe Tettersaw due to their pasts and what they are currently battling. The friendship they concocted has led into a rock solid foundation to more of a lovers interest. When fate decides to hand them their pasts front and center, together they conquer head on.

I loved how S.R. Grey developed these characters, their relationship. To have two characters who come from the same similar elements, but have the same beautiful end goals, outlook on life was something I truly can’t describe. I enjoyed that they started out as friends which led to a love interest. I believe that helped succeed this story and how tremendous it escalated.

Dylan has such a beautiful soul despite his past and at the same time I admired Chloe’s view on life, with how she picks her life up from the negativity she was dealt. Together their chemistry was fierce and undeniable.

I really enjoy emotional turmoil books. S.R. Grey exceeded my expectations in this story. Dylan and Chloe both overcoming obstacles, but outshining their pasts. It’s not easy, it’s rough but with due diligence their story was beautiful. Grey’s writing was heartfelt and captivating and I can’t wait to see more from the Boys of Winter!

Since I have been reading this series from the beginning I got a lot of glimpses of Dylan in previous books. He was always interesting, and of course I wanted him to get his own book. But this story met and exceeded my expectations for him. I loved how kind, caring and protective he was. I was saddened to read about his tragic past, but was so very happy to see that he took that tragedy and used it to develop himself into a good man.

I loved the instant chemistry between him and Chloe. She was a fun character to read about. Even with her recent experiences, she didn't turn bitter or negative. She picked herself up, asked for help and moved toward a better life and better self. Her interactions with her brother were often funny but overall I just really liked that she had such a good and supportive person in her life.

There are still a few more characters I want to see get their own story and I look forward to seeing what S.R. Grey has in store for us next. I hope there are many more Boys of Winter novels to come.

5 Star Review Caution On Ice (Boys of Winter #4) by S.R.Grey

This is fast becoming one of my favourite series. This is the fourth book in the series and is is Dylan Culderway and Chloe Tettersaw’s story and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

This book is a stand alone but I feel you would enjoy it even more if you read the first book in the series Destiny On Ice first. I love the camaraderie between all the characters.

The development of Dylan and Chloe’s relationship, both as friends and then lovers was great. Their was plenty of drama, suspense and intrigue and I loved how Dylan and Chloe faced it down together. I will admit that I would love a Dylan Culderway in my life, he ticks all the right boxes in so many ways.

Dylan is a loyal friend, willing to give his all for those he cares about and Chloe soon becomes extremely important to him. When danger and trouble from Chloe's past confronts her she realises that Dylan is going to stand beside her, no matter what. His strength will become hers and the chemistry between them is so hot it is almost overpowering.

I love S R Grey's style of writing, her characters are strong and have depth and I am excitedly anticipating the next book in the series.

Caution on Ice is the fourth book in the Boys of Winter series. I have followed and loved this series from from the very first book and while this is part of a series each book can be read as standalone's.

The previous three books i would class as Rom-Coms with some really hilarious, fun and flirty banter. I'll be honest i was expecting the same but unfortunately it fell flat in that department for me. But that really is shame on me for just expecting.

What we did get within this read was a lot more emotion and feelings for and about Dylan and Chloe. There were some really heart pulling situations that they both had experienced. Which brought a completely different feel to this book. And i found myself rooting for them to get a HEA that they both deserved.

I loved that trust and a friendship was built first. Helping them to move froward from a painful past, to a brighter future.

This Sport's Romance series now has it all, as a whole. I'm really looking forward to continuing this series.

This was a good read. The instant chemistry between Dylan and Chloe was refreshing to read.

Chloe was downright hilarious, quirky and beautiful all wrapped in one. She was overcoming a terrible divorce but that didn’t stop her from living. Dylan had a tragic past but he made the best out of it especially on the hockey rink. When Chloe met the gorgeous famous hockey player she was smitten. Her reaction and awkwardness was priceless. Dylan thought it was cute.

They hit it off and she had a great support system in her brother and so did Dylan. There was a little angst but it was resolved. Their bangers were funny and it was refreshing to read a down to earth couple especially with such a funny heroine. The ending was beautiful and she still was quirky, lol, but that’s what made her and Dylan’s relationship almost perfect.

S.R. Grey CAUTION ON ICE is an amazing addition to the Boys of Winter series. Las Vegas Wolves Defenseman, Dylan Culderway is focused on hockey not his personal life. However, when he meets Chloe Tettersaw at the gym he works out at, he cannot deny their connection. This story primarily takes place in Las Vegas. It is suitable for adult audiences.

S. R. Grey created a meaningful and heartwarming story containing issues in domestic violence. She does an admirable job with her character development. They are believable and grow throughout the novel. Chloe and Dylan are good for each other, helping one another to heal. The plot was skillfully written and interesting throughout the novel.

I like Chloe’s brother, Graham. I appreciated how the pamphlet he gave her guided her through the novel. I love the rabbit and his role throughout the book. I also, love that Chloe befriended Aubrey Shelburne for book one, DESTINY ON ICE.

S. R. Grey in on a winning streak with the Boys of Winter series; I’m looking forward to Jaxon Holland’s story next in book five, PLAYER ON ICE, expected to be released during the summer of 2018. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Having just escaped from a physically and emotionally abusive marriage, Chloe Tettersaw isn’t looking for a relationship. She’s excited to be free and independent, with a little help from her big brother. She’s ready to take her life back one step at a time, and for her, that means working out at her brother’s gym and learning some self defense so she never has to feel out of control again.

Top NHL defenseman Dylan Culderway is an all around great guy. He’s always there for his friends. And, while the ladies find him hot, he’s a real gentleman with no time for fun and games. Lately, though, he’s had some anger issues that stem from his past. When his coach suggests he work out at a private gym rather than with the team to work through his issues, he’s immediately knocked for a loop when he sees the beautiful woman destroying a picture of a guy on a punching bag.

Dylan and Chloe’s attraction is immediate. Dylan immediately loves Chloe’s independence that is intertwined with her need for feeling loved and protected after her past relationship. Chloe loves how supportive Dylan is and how he easily makes her feel safe and cared for. They seem to be a perfect pair and are in a great place to start moving forward with a relationship until a stalker sets his sights on Chloe. It will be up to Dylan to keep Chloe safe while letting her blossom before the stalker does something that can end their love forever.

Caution on Ice was a great read. I enjoyed how Dylan’s personality was so shaped by events in his past that he immediately felt a strong connection and attraction to Chloe. I also thought the author did a fabulous job of having Chloe really grow as a person and come into herself after leaving her abusive ex . . .I enjoyed that she had a 10 step program to help her achieve a new sense of herself and where she wanted to be.

The inclusion of the stalker added some fantastic suspense elements that kept the story moving forward at a fast pace and generated interest making this story much more than just an insta-love romance. 4 stars!

S. R. Grey has been one of my go to authors for a long time now. I started reading this series and I absolutely fell in love with every character that has been brought on the pages since then. How she pairs up the two main characters is absolutely something that you will fall in love with, but not only that the story that wraps around the two makes you fall in love with all the broken pieces, but also everything that fits for their life in this book. To bring the characters alive in this series, is amazing, because everyone's story is different and unique and never get tired of reading what is happening next.

So lets talk about Dylan. Gosh I could go on and on with Dylan. He is not your usual hockey player. He isn't playing the field every night, he doesn't have a woman in his bed every night, he is just a good guy. How many athlete persona's in books do you see like that? I can tell you hardly any. When you find them they are hard to let go, and Dylan is going to be that one for you. Dylan has a past that is eating him up since he had to come back to his hometown. Pasts have a serious way of coming up when you have been away for awhile. Since the coach sees this as an opportunity for him to work some of this out, he tells Dylan to work out in a private gym, away from the world. What Dylan never expects is to see a woman in the gym working so hard to pulverize a picture on the bag. Chloe is running away. Running away from something that she thought she would never be able to. When she gets to that gym all she sees is red, as she is punching that bag. What she would never expect would be Dylan to be there in the same room. Chloe is dealing with something so dreadful in this book. Her fight is different from Dylan's, but both are so deep for both of them that they are going to need each other to escape from each others pasts. What was nice about both Dylan and Chloe is that they didn't fall in love with each other instantly, they had a friendship first, one that they could build from. Chloe has so much baggage that it could destroy both of them if they don't take it slow. Some things will come back from Chloe's past that will threaten her, but with Dylan standing by her side, I think they both will be able to overcome everything that is not letting them move forward.

I think Dylan and Chloe's is my favorite so far in this series. This story is a little more serious than the other ones, but it goes to who Dylan is. Putting Chloe in the mix only proves how much the author knows her characters and who will be able to guide them to the end. I can't wait to see what is next only because if this story is great, the next one can only get better.

I have to say that I have loved the entire series, but this by far is my absolute favorite. Dylan and Chloe are both two damaged souls that overcome tragedy and bond together in a beautiful way.

I have been waiting for Dylan’s book for a while now. His character intrigued me, and I couldn’t wait to find out all of his secrets. He is such a sweet, loving, and caring person inside and out. He has his demons, but deep down he is a good-hearted man, and when he meets Chloe, he is hooked from the start.

Chloe is running from her past. She was in an unhealthy relationship, and she now believes she is damaged, until she meets Dylan. They start out as friends, but both quickly realize their feelings are a lot stronger. The chemistry between these two is off the charts.

This book is super sweet and adorable. There were some funny parts, but overall I enjoyed connecting with the characters on a more personal level. Dylan is such a swoon worthy character. Gosh, I felt myself drool quite a few times. And that ending… lord have mercy! This book was everything and so much more.

I was excited to be back with the Boys of Winter and book four Caution on Ice did not disappoint once again we got a book that was fun, witty and romantic. S.R. Grey certainly knows how to write a great hockey rom-com and I hope there is more to come in this series.
Dylan is struggling with guilt over not protecting his mother against his abusive stepfather and the guilt is transforming into anger, gone is the nice guy he used to be, enter the anger man who needs some help. Dylan is sent to a specialist gym to try and sort his issues out and that where he meets Chloe who is trying to rebuild her life after leaving her abusive partner. Two people struggling with issues but she becomes his calming influence, she gives him the peace he needs and he becomes her strength and gets her believing in people again, they need each other to move forward.
This is a beautifully written love story with the perfect mix of humour and witty banter, I love the strong characters who are intent on helping each other even though they have their own issues. This series is becoming one of my favourites and just when I think it can’t get any better this author scores with another five star read. Great job with this brilliant series S.R.Grey.

Ice Hockey, suspense and friendship - a great read

CAUTION ON ICE is the fourth in S.R. Grey's BOYS OF WINTER series and can definitely be read as a standalone. This is the first I have read in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ice hockey books are one of my "go to" books, so I am certaily going to look up the three previous novels.

Dylan Culderway , tough defender, and Chloe Tettersaw begin the relationship as friends, one that is built on trust and understanding. Tough guy Dylan was able to show is protective side, but his caring side is the one that really drew me in. Chloe was just your average fun loving girl. Both had to overcome tragedy and bitterness in their past, but instead of letting it get them down, they used their past to build themselves into stronger people. But as usual things aren't always smooth sailing, a stalker has arrived to disrupt her life. Is Dylan able to keep her safe?

A beautifully written story. One that will pull at your heartstrings and have you cheering both Dylan and Chloe on. Definitely a recommended read.

This story is one of hurt, abuse and finding the strength to carry on in your life and not letting you past do anything but help you become a better person.

I got to say that I don't know why but every time I read one of S.R. Grey books at the end I can't give it 5*. Every one off them starts on such a high note but somewhere in the middle it dials down a bit and then picks up speed at the end. It irritates me a little because I feel like this story in particular deserved 5*.

The story itself was such a huge emotional read for me - it hit a few painful memories I don’t like remembering – touching me with learning about Dylan's past or how Chloe handled her ex-husband. The strength they both possess is amazing. Both of them didn't let their abusive past to win out and they pushed through in order to come wining on the other side.

I absolutely enjoyed getting to know Dylan & Chloe. The best part of the book is how they became friends first, lovers second.
I’m excited for the next book 

Hockey player Dylan is struggling to contain his anger (he is usually an easy going, nice guy). He has not forgiven himself for not being able to save his mother from his abusive stepfather. A trip home reignites these feelings and results in bringing the anger back to the surface. Sent to a specialist gym, he encounters Chloe and feels a pull towards her. Chloe is rebuilding her life after escaping from an abusive ex. As their relationship becomes more, it is clear that Chloe is the missing piece of Dylan. She brings a peace to him that he so needed, focusing on the good rather than the bad. He is her strength and her belief in people. She is strong, independent and fierce despite her past and this is severely tested but Dylan is right there with her.

Another great installment in this series of standalones. These two were meant to be together. Their relationship a genuine partnership and one that warms the heart and brings you a smile. Full of awesomeness!!

I love these two together so much. Talk about two damaged souls that need love and finding that one person that can rescue them from all the ugliness in their lives.

They're so HOT together. I was rolling when Area 51 came into play with them. I swear this will NEVER get old....EVER.

Chloe's heart is so sweet and deserving of love and Dylan is really the man she deserves because he needs her just as much.

So many times when I listen to a series, the next book just does not hold up to my expectation. SR Grey breaks this mold with her Boys of Winter series! The story of Dylan and Chloe is a little different than the first three, which I absolutely love! While we get to go to hockey games and the romance is hot, Grey weaves in the subject of domestic abuse. Both Dylan and Chloe have been affected by this and find healing through each other. It is a subject many do not like to talk about, and bringing awareness to both the physical and psychological effects is wonderfully portrayed in their story. There are many moments that contain the comedic talent of Grey's writing as well, so be ready to feel every emotion with this one. From fear to laughter to love, it will give you everything. And just when you think it can't get any better, we have appearances of players from the previous books, and the ever famous glowing green present too! The story is suspenseful and loving, could not ask for a better story! Looking forward to Jaxon's book!

Reagan West gives this book the perfect narration. She is fast becoming a favorite, with her masterful voices and inflections. I loved her portrayal of this book and look forward to more!

S.R. Grey wrote a wonderful romance full of love, hope and suspense, plus some great humor. I fell in love with Dylan, Chloe and Graham in this book. Dylan was absolutely perfect for Chloe in so many ways. I also though Jack stole some great moments. I loved the present in the green paper too. This book is both a standalone listen and part of a series. I love how the author interjects some of the other players in this book without taking anything away from this story. The cameo appearances are awesome. Reagan West did a fantastic performance in this book. I loved her inner musings of Chloe. She delivered so many raw emotions for this story. The suspense in this book was a great unexpected maneuver and shows how utterly talented both the author and narrator are. This story was so well done. I can't wait for the next one.

I was expecting a steamy, sexy hockey romance. This story delivered that but also gave me an emotional story of two characters who find healing with each other.
With the help of Dylan, Chloe is able to find her own inner strengths.

Caution on Ice is the 4th book in The Boys of Winter hockey romance series. It can be read as a standalone and in fact it is the first book I’ve read by this author. The audiobook of this story was entertaining and made my long commute so much more enjoyable!

Dylan is easy to read, but hard to understand. On the ice he has it all together. Off the ice his heart is falling apart. Haunted by a past he can't outrun, he seems doomed to repeat his worst living nightmare. This time will the woman he loves be his saving grace or his ultimate downfall? Caution on Ice is an emotional whirlwind that begins in darkness and ends with redemption. Shaped by tragedy Dylan needs something to restore his faith in life and love. Chloe is his second chance, but she has a few demons of her own. West and Grey are a combination of gritty dialogue and tempting storytelling. A tale of heartbreak and survival that sticks.

Dylan is just good, he's not man whore or anything like that. This man has so much respect for women he's true keeper. He's loyal, honest, caring, devoted hell he's the whole damn package. Chole has had it hard but she's also a trooper. She's strong and fiesty. I'm. Proud of her.

Caution on Ice is one of my favorite sports romances! It’s somewhat different than other ones in the genre. I immediately fell in love with Dylan and Chloe.

Dylan is hockey’s top defenseman, and he has a stellar reputation in the league, both professionally and personally. However, running underneath that sexy and cool exterior, is still a boy who lost something precious to him when he was young. He has carried a guilt for it, even though he couldn’t stop what happened. He tries every single day to make up for it. Falling in love isn’t on his agenda that is until he meets Chloe.

Chloe has just moved to town to be with her brother after a horrible breakup with her ex-husband. She is determined to never let herself be treated like that again. She has come up with a way to move on…X for Your Ex Program, steps to getting over your ex. She isn’t really looking for love, but she is somewhat open to maybe dating, that is a big maybe. Dylan changes all that the first time she sees him. But, with all their baggage and danger lurking, it will be a tough road to happiness and love for these two.

Dylan and Chloe have an instant attraction and pull toward each other, but they both decide to be friends for now. For me, that direction Grey took them in made the most sense because they were two broken souls who needed time to heal and build a solid relationship with one another if it was going to last. That slower road to romance was one of my favorite things about the book. I loved watching their friendship and trust develop, oh and their battle of which was better…80’s or 90’s music. I love both, but I’m with Dylan…80’s music is the best.

For me to feel any connection with a book depends on the characters, and I genuinely connected with both of them. Dylan was just about the perfect man…sexy and a gentleman. It was so nice to see an athlete not being a womanizer. He was honestly a good man, and he deserved happiness with someone who loved him. Chloe was the perfect woman for him. Ironically, as you will see in the book, she suffered in some of the same ways as his mother. I think that is something that drew him to her initially. He felt like he could save her, but imagine his surprise when she saved him too. Our Chloe is a fighter, refusing to let her past dictate the woman she is.

I have read The Promises Books by S.R. Grey which was heavier than the Boys of Winter. I loved that series as much I have fallen for these guys. Her ability to write two very different series, I know she has more, as brilliantly as she did just proves to me what a very talented writer she truly is. That is why I will keep coming back to S.R. Grey, her stories, and her unforgettable characters.

Oh my sweet lord... Just look at this cover... Dayum... I wanna do bad thing with this hunk of a man...
I've been anxiously waiting for another book from this author and being the fourth book from a series that I adore it was the cherry on top of the cake.
S. R. Grey knows what she's doing. Every book that I've read made me smile and laugh and curse... It was emotion after emotion. Her writing is hot, detailed, engaging and sexy has hell.
Have you meet the Boys of Winter? You haven't? Dayum girls you don't know what you're missing. Every single one of them has a story that will hook you up from the beginning. Trust me...
Caution on Ice is the fourth book from the Boys of Winter series and tells the stories of Dylan and Chloe.
Dylan is a hockey defenseman, and a very good one that love his job. He's a kind soul, always available to help everyone and a true gentleman. Let's not forget that he's sexy as hell and oozes sex appeal. But behind all this hides a guy that has a few secrets! Secrets that make it impossible for him to find love or even to fall in love. He's not a one night stand type of man. He's well focused in his career and that's it.
Well, it was until Chloe crosses his path.
Chloe moves to a new city in order to be closer to her brother but mainly to get away from an abusive relationship. She's focused on getting back on her feet and live life for herself and be free. She thought that love would be out of the question until Dylan crosses her path.
And to make things worse, her past is back and determined to take her with it!
And now what? Can these two broken souls find comfort in each others arms? Can they forget and overcome their pasts? Can they find happiness?
Oh my dear lord... What a book... What a story... What the hell...
The plot is superb, very well written, super engaging and stunning. The interation between the characters is beautiful, sweet, intense and hot sometimes.
The story progressed in a way that left me scared, nervous, as well as happy and so freaking hot.
It's amazing that a book can make you feel like you're inside of the story because you feel their pains.
Oh S. R. You're amazing. This series is getting better and better and I can't wait for more.
I love these boys and I want more.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
