The instant connection with the pride’s alpha sets off a chain of sacred events with Sora and Maverick once they finally accept their fate.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I enjoyed this book but I definitely wish that was a full length book, as it’s all a bit rushed/insta-love for me which is the norm with novellas so I normally like longer books as you get more emotional depth from the characters. I thought Maverick and Sora were great together. It was awesome to see that when Maverick scented that Sora was not only a female Alpha but his mate, he gave her the choice on whether they become mates or he’d happily teach her to control her Alpha powers and then she’d need to leave. As you can’t have two Alphas in one Pride unless they’re bonded. It just goes to show what an amazing guy he is, and he never felt threatened by her powers unlike her ab*sive a*sehole of a father who basically beat her to repress her powers. He didn’t believe that a female should be able to have power over him. I’m looking forward to reading more books from Theresa Hissong in the future. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

Hot Alpha 🔥

This is my third reading of this book. I read it when it originally came out in an anthology. I loved it all three times. Maverick is a sexy hot Alpha. You know a book is good when it makes you feel something. Angst, for Sora and her Grandmother. Anticipation for Sora and Maverick. A little hot from the sexy scenes. Scared near the ending. You have to read it to find out why! From a True Fan... Pam James.

Some parts a bit simplistic but overall a good book. Less background than many.
