Collected poems of the great Dagestani poet Rasul Gamzatova in an older edition, yet I cannot find a newer one in either Russian nor English. Gamzatov's work is essential to Dagestani literature, no doubt, but runs a bit dry to my tastes in places. This older edition both empowers that feeling of dealing with something dated or historical and also makes the experience of reading it feel grand and special. Certainly an anthology of Gamzatov is essential for anyone interested in Dagesani literature though.
