It's the most magical time of the year this holiday season in the next whacky whodunit of the Paramour Bay Mysteries by USA Today Bestselling Author Kennedy Layne…
Snow flurries are falling, carolers are caroling, and jingle bells are jingling in the week leading up to Christmas Day. Unfortunately, not everyone is enjoying the holiday spirit. As Raven Marigold and her familiar make an evening deposit for the teashop, they find themselves held hostage by two bank robbers—one posing as Santa Claus, and the other masquerading as a not-so-merry elf!
Not all is what it seems, though. What at first appears to be a straightforward bank robbery might just turn out to have elements of dark magic behind it!
Grab a plate of sugar cookies and a steaming mug of hot chocolate before you dive into this comical Christmas caper! Ho-ho-ho!
Kennedy Layne is a USA Today bestselling author. She draws inspiration for her romantic thrillers in part from her not-so-secret second life as a wife of a retired Marine Master Sergeant. He doubles as her critique partner, beta reader, and military consultant. Kennedy also has a deep love for cozy mysteries, thrillers, and basically any book that can keep her guessing until the very end. They live in the Midwest with their menagerie of pets. The loyal dogs and mischievous cats appreciate her writing days as much as she does, usually curled up in front of the fireplace.
Mistletoe Blend (Paramour Bay Book #24) The Paramour Bay Series by Kennedy Layne proved to be full of fun cozy mysteries full of paranormal intrigue, and heartwarming charm. Set in the enchanting seaside town of Paramour Bay, the series follows Raven Marigold, who is a relatable and endearing character who discovers she’s a witch. From the very first book, I was drawn into a world filled with magical mishaps, quirky townsfolk, and a touch of humor that kept the tone light and engaging. Paramour Bay came alive with its quaint shops, mysterious coves, and a community that’s as eccentric as it is lovable. Ms. Layne’s writing style is approachable and immersive, making it so easy for me to lose myself in the pages (in a great way – NOT in a ‘I have no idea of what’s going on’ way 😊). Each book introduces a new mystery, often tied to the supernatural, and the twists are clever without being overly complex - perfect for fans of cozy mysteries. So, whether you’re a fan of paranormal tales, cozy mysteries, or simply looking for a feel-good series to curl up with, Paramour Bay is a magical escape that will leave you smiling. It’s a perfect brew of mystery, magic, and heart. Highly recommended for readers who enjoy a touch of whimsy with their whodunits. Let the Binge Begin. Happy Reading…

Not all is what it seems, though. What at first appears to be a straightforward bank robbery might just turn out to have elements of dark magic behind it! The bank is being robbed and a detective is the main suspect in the robbery. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
Mistletoe Blend by Kennedy Layne is book #24 in the Paramour Bay Cozy Paranormal Mystery series. Raven Marigold, owner of Tea, Leaves & Eves and local witch, along with her familiar cat Leo - Oh! That's right! He insists on being called Mr. Leo - walk into the local bank to deposit the tea shop's daily take and actually walk right into the middle of a bank robbery. O what a fun read! I love the characters in this series. The ending really surprised me. Can't wait to see what trouble lands in Paramour Bay in the next book in the series.
I enjoyed being back in Paramour Bay, the magical town which has witches, a war lock, a druid, a werewolf and vampires living in it, as well as humans.
Raven, a witch and her familiar, Mr Leo, get caught up in a bank heist near Christmas, but it is not all as it seems!
A cozy mystery with magic woven into it, an easy to read book, read in a couple of hours. The books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series.
Leo certainly has his challenges, but he comes through for Raven. There is never a dull moment for the Paramour Bay crew. This time Raven and Leo find themselves in the middle of a bank robbery. Fun twists pop up as they try to survive and solve the mystery.
