Try not to scream. You never know who—or what—may be listening...
A miracle comes with a terrifying price, when a young blind woman confronts the horrors lurking in her basement. A trio of campers is forced to fight for their lives, when their weekend getaway opens a portal to terrifying new dimension. And a Ouija board summons a malevolent force, when two sisters try to contact a lost loved one…
Scare Street is proud to present a spine-tingling new collection of fourteen terrifying tales. A diabolical feast of ghosts, ghouls, and screams of fear. And with each macabre nightmare more horrifying than the last, it’s only a matter of time before you unleash a blood curdling shriek of your own…
Even now, you feel cold, putrid breath on the back of your neck. The stench of the unliving fills the room. You feverishly turn the pages, ignoring whatever lurks just behind you, struggling to make it to the end of one more story.
After all, the next page you read just might be your last…

It was a long wait for this anthology but it is among the best so far, and that is saying a lot. There are authors here new to Scare Street but I hope none of them are one hit wonders. There is serious talent here. We get shadow monsters, native mythological beasts, things that rule the night and, last but nowhere near least, another visit with Jimmy Hsu delivered with subtle fright by the excellent Ron Ripley. When I first began reading Scare Street offerings, I knew I was in the cusp of greatness. Nobody delivers chills and gut wrenching horror like Scare Street. The Night Terrors anthologies are some of the best in the genre and I can't wait for the next book from this outstanding publisher.
Some stories are better than others depending on personal preference but true Scare Street fans welcome new and budding horror writers.
I would advise that the reader finds a a quiet and somewhat secluded place to enhance the experience of these unusual horror tales.....turn your back to a doorway or uncurtained windows and refuse to look behind you when you get tense and feel that something is behind you......
I particularly like the ongoing adventures of Jimmy Hsu but this can only be expected when the talented Mr (Ron) Ripley has a hand in things. I would like to see all of these in a compilation book😲. Go for it Ron and pay me mega money for suggesting it 🤑.
As a newcomer to this series, I was pleasantly surprised by the diversity of the stories, and the fact that I enjoyed almost all of them. Usually, with anthologies, I might only really like 20-30%. From somewhat eerie to outright bone-chilling scenarios, this collection offers a satisfyingly chilling experience that will keep you hooked until the last page.
As an ideal bedside book, Night Terrors provides the perfect dose of extra scare right before sleep. Each story is concise enough to be devoured in a single sitting, yet potent enough to leave an impression long after the lights have been turned off. Whether you prefer a quick adrenaline rush or a lingering sense of creeping horror, this collection has something to satisfy your craving for scares.
This volume in this series is as fantastic as all the others. My favorite story was the one with Jimmy Hsu. My son and I are autistic, and it's really rare to see an autistic character done positively and realistically, without falling back on negative stereotypes. I would love to read another story with Jimmy running into more supernatural events and handling them in unique ways.
I have read every single book in this series. I have loved every single story, but my absolute favourite is Ron Ripley. His writing is amazing and he really brings you into his stories. Makes you feel like you are with the characters.
