This is my first time reading a book by Violet James and it definitely won't be my last! Even though this is the 4th book in the series it doesn't matter that I haven't read the other 3. For me it didn't take anything away from Philip and Lilah's story. Lilah decides to auction her virginity so she can make money to move her sick brother out of her step-dad's house. Philip is at the club for a business meeting when he sees his little sister's best friend about to get auctioned off. He bids on her so none of the other men can force her to give her virginity away. He wins her and instead of taking her that night at the auction he asks if they can spend a week together to get comfortable with each other. So they do and Philip learns about all the horrible things that have happened to Lilah the last few years. The connection and chemistry between Philip and Lilah is so great and strong! After some intense moments and misunderstandings the book concludes with the great HEA. I admire how strong Lilah is after everything she's been through and everything she continues to do to keep her brother safe and taken care of.

His sister's best friend enters a cherry auction at a club he visits for a business meeting. He isn't a member, but refuses to let her sell something so precious, especially when the guy bidding on her is a known "bad" dom that's been suspended from his club at least once. So he bids a million dollars. Neither one knew that by having the biggest winning bid, they would have to "perform" in front of the club. He gains them a week's reprieve and uses that week to learn everything he can about her and the club. She refuses to tell him what was so bad that she had to resort to these drastic measures. During their week, he works tirelessly to gain her trust, slowly introduce her to the lifestyle, and work towards taking down the club, all while leaving her "intact". He finally gains her trust, but before they can come to terms on what that means for them, she thinks he betrays her and runs. She re-enters the auction not knowing the club owners made a deal behind her back. It gets bad, fast.

This book is for over 18 adults only, with open minds about alternative lifestyles (bdsm). Each story has a "moral" or point being made by the author. This one has a couple that could be the "moral". I'm really, really hoping the bad dom gets his comeuppance soon for all the evil he does.

Lilah is in a desperate place, her fall from grace sees her in a seedy sex club selling her virginity to the highest bidder. When she goes for a record 1mil and finds out as the highest product sold she gets to lose her virginity with an audience she doesn't think things can get much worse until her buyer Philip reveals himself (her sisters best friend), makes it clear he will not fufil the contract and manages to buy them a week of getting to know you time.

Lilah goes home with Philip her teenage crush reignited, Philip is trying his best to be a gentleman as a world renowned Dom control shouldn't be an issue, but Lilah makes him lose his head.

Can Philip save Lilah and keep her safe and fall in love, or will his Dom/Sub lifestyle and her trust issues and independence mean a happily ever after isn't on the cards?

This was such a good read, lots of tension, great storyline, emotional and relatable character development. Well worth a read.

Can be read as a standalone but previous couples and storylines do make an appearance in this book.

Lilah is struggling to find her way and is in a terrible situation which allows her to sell her virginity in an auction because she is that desperate. When Philip who is her best friends brother purchases her virginity she is taking back at how much she wants him. She always crushed on him but never knew this could be a reality. Philip is a master Dom who is known in all the BDSM circles and he cousins allow anyone to purchase Lilah and the moment he wins her his entire world is turned upside down. His need is always there but Lilah has done something no other woman has and that is taking his heart! This story is powerful, moving, breathtaking, and oh so sexy! Watching their Dom/Sub relationship blossom is such an adventure. This is yet another amazing book in this jaw dropping and oh so sexy series! You will not be disappointed in their road to discovering just how much they need each other!!! Happy Reading!

Lilah needs help after her parents divorce and her brother needs to get away from their stepfather soon. Desperate, she goes to a BDSM club to sell her virginity, but is won by her best friends brother who she has not seen in years but still has a crush on. Philip is shocked to see her there and vows to help her, takes her to his place to find out what is going on, and a new world opens up to her. Loved the characters, the backstories and connections. The storyline starts with her having nowhere to turn for help. Plenty of drama, intense feelings, possessiveness, trust issues, BDSM, steam and much more. The chemistry is terrific and the writing grabbed me from the beginning and held my interest until the end. So happy to read the ending with hope.

Our heroine is in trouble, and she also means trouble for our hero. But desire is rapidly outstripping reason and she just might be the kind of trouble he needs.

This is book four of the series, but it is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required to enjoy this story.

This is a short erotic romance with several different elements going for it, including some D/S and a bit of the taboo, a very potent mix. The story is well written, easy to read and very steamy. I rather like both of our characters quite a bit and enjoyed watching the dance they performed as they pursued their desires. The result was highly enjoyable and definitely left me ready to explore more from this author.

I had a great time with this book and I loved how much Phillip cared for Lilah and devoted himself to her.

What I really liked was how open this was about Phillip and Lilah being into SM without making it a dark romance.

I love myself a good damsel (and I'm not afraid to say it) and this was so good 🥹 especially seeing Lilah opening up to Phillip.

Still, there were certain scenes, especially in the club, that were just a bit icky to me – yes, he's a dom but that doesn't make laughing when another dom tells him to "spank the bitching" out of Lilah. And then punishing her when she runs after that. Ew.

So that's why it's a 4 stars for me and not 5. I think BDSM romances can also be that: romances. And doms can be domineering without acting like assholes 🤷🏻‍♀

The Club Wyld series keeps getting better and better! His to Possess is Philip's story. When he encounters his little sister's best friend Lilah at a seedy club, he steps in to help and protect her. Arrogant, domineering, sure of himself. Her white knight in shining armour. Until his growing attraction to her chips away at his control and the Feelings start to grow ... I always love it when a big-on-contol Dom tumbles and Philip does a great job of it! I enjoyed their journey to a well-deserved HEA and would have liked to have seen the rotten apple among the doms get his come-uppance. Maybe in the next book? I can't wait!.

- this man is all possessive and I get why its because it’s in the title name but he makes claims in his mind “ im the best dom in the west or somthing” . Like hes like doms send their subs to me to be trained “
Like wtf dude . This man kept giving me 50 shades vibes like Christian grey and eww . Anyways of course he is a businessman

I have read 3 other books this author ( in this series ) and I enjoyed the first 2 and even somewhat liked the 3rd one even though it gave me the ick . I had to DNF this one though .

Would recommend the first two books in this series

She decided to participate in a virginity auction at a local sex club. She assumes it will be one and done.

Philip is there for a meeting, gets roped into viewing the auction and buys her because he recognizes her as his sister's best friend. His sister is in Europe for the summer.

He outbids for her- she goes for $1 million. He bribes the officials to take her home with him, and then works on getting her to confide in him about what has driven her to this situation.

I have to be honest that I struggled to like Philip in the beginning. His arrogance and dominant attitude were very frustrating, especially when it was clear that something had driven Lilah to take such drastic measures. He got better as the story played out and I loved that Lilah stood up to him. Their relationship was complicated but he needed to communicate more and she made him do that. It was great to see their relationship develop. Good book in this series.

This is a great series. Philip sees Lilah in a seedy club. Philip knows Lilah, she is his sister's friend. So he takes her home and realizes she is in trouble. Philip is starting to realize what he was missing in his life. This story has intrigue, drama, obsession, twists and turns. This is a page turner from the start. This is such a great story and the characters have great chemistry the attraction is palpable. Great story.

This is the first book I have read in this series, the story takes you on a journey with the ups and downs, the truth, the secrets, the twists, the exploration and it certainly holds your attention. I enjoyed the character development, the developing relationship, the exploration of feelings and going after what you want. In amongst everything going on is a lovely example of falling in love, being brave enough to open yourself to love and showing someone your love in a way that speaks to them.

Instead of taking her that night, Phillip spends the week getting to know Lilah and uncovers all that has happened. Phillip and Lilah have a strong connection with and intense pull that grabs you from the start.

The End For Now

Philip…the Dom who trains subs for others. Lilah… a woman who id doing what needs to be done. Philip is at a business meeting when he encounters Lilah in an unusual circumstance. He knows her, because she is friends with his younger sister. Philip’s instincts take over and he steps in to protect her in the only way he can at that moment. She’s an innocent and he’s a world renowned Dom. To say this is the most unique of the series so far is putting it lightly. I look forward to more books set at Club Wyld…hopefully about the three owners.

Loved the storyline and the characters were steamy together. Philip hadn't seen Lylah in years and when he goes to the Rendezvous Club and sees her there he decides that he needs to get her out of there. The story had drama, was dark, danger, dedication, addictive, possessiveness, steam and love. Loved this story and enjoyed this series.

Okay so I am usually not into BDSM but this book had an actual plot to it that kept me hooked right from the start. Phillip was the perfect Dom and Lilah was so naive that his strengths carried her through the rough time. He saved her twice. I was so into the story that I didn't want it to end!! Great job.

Lilah grew up privileged until her world fell apart with her parents divorce. With her circumstances drastically changed, she is desperate for money to save her brother and convinces herself she has no choice but to auction off the only thing she has left of value. Philip is determined to save her from herself, but after being let down by everyone, she has serious trust issues. I loved his struggle to separate his feelings of protective older brother to older lover. The story is filled with twists and turns as others act out of revenge and what Lilah has endured is revealed. The story will keep your interest until the very end.

Enjoyed it

I really liked it, my reason for only 4 stars is the typos! She needs a new proof reader/editor. I liked how the chapters switched perspective.
