It becomes clear from the moment he eavesdrops on a frustrated female describing her desires when it come to relationships of the sexual kind that Jordan wants to be the man who caters to those wants and needs, so much so that he slips his phone number to her despite not even knowing her name, something her never does, especially after the relationship he had with his ‘crazy’ ex girfriend.
Blair keeps thinking about the handsome stranger who overheard her, in a restaurant share her sexual fantasies, despite having his number she hasn’t called him, however after finishing her shift in the ER one evening she heads over to the little restaurant where she finds said handsome stranger sitting all alone, she joins him and the pair engage in some flirty banter which ends up with them having a steamy encounter in the back of his truck. That night was only the beginning as Jordan and Blair continue to hook up time and time again, when their schedules allow it, that is. Both have had bad experiences with their ‘recent’ ex partners, but agree to continue their ‘relationship’, keeping it strictly to just hook ups, if only their hearts would agree. Even though they fight it, they both catch feelings for one another, however there are people out there wanting and willing to take advantage, striking just when Jordan and Blair are ready to admit their feelings towards each other. As a result Jordan and Blair part ways, only to reunite, after finally admitting how they feel and sharing some happy news of their own. They do face some bumpy roads ahead, but these two are a force not to be messed with, together they’re stronger and can overcome any obstacles in their way.
I loved everything about this book, well everything apart from Zena and Henry. Kristine has some wicked writing skills, she certainly knows how to draw a reader in and keep them captivated from start to finish, this was a fantastic addition to her Iced series.
