Don't miss the heartfelt conclusion to a heartwarming series.
When I was growing up I never thought of being an author. I was a terrible speller and didn't want to write any more than I had to. I wanted to be a tap dancer when I grew up. After a few years of teaching junior high and high school, I wrote my first novel. It was a surprise to discover that I liked making up stories and writing them down. I liked it so much that eventually I stopped teaching and became a fulltime writer.
Besides novels for children and young adults, I've also told stories by writing scripts for television and the movies.
I live on the top floor of a sixteen-story building near the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. From my apartment I have a view of Manhattan that includes the Empire State Building and the Plaza Hotel. In my free time I draw, paint, and read. I still love to dance.
Some people think that a writer's life is lonely. But when I'm writing a story I don't feel lonely because I am actively involved with lots of interesting people – the characters in my books. I love knowing that some day readers will get to know these characters, too. If you are one of my readers I hope you have as much enjoyment in reading my stories as I have writing them.
In third grade, I met one of my best friends, Sierra. What brought us together? This series and our love of horses. Even though we're now competely different, these books were my childhood and started my love for reading.
These books were my everything as an elementary school kid and sparked my passion for reading (even during math class when I was supposed to be listening!) and I'm feeling all nostalgic today. I remember being so sad when I finished this book, because I never wanted the Pony Pals stories to end...now I'm making it a point in my 2018 goals to read most if not all of these books again!
This book... Every series has to end at some point, and this is the ending for this one. I think I only read this book once or twice as a kid, as it's kind of depressing, and even as an adult, I found myself starting to tear up at one point. It's hard to move to a new place and leave close friends behind, and it would be even harder still to leave your pet you do almost everything with behind.
This is a good ending, though, showing how close the girls have become while also showing signs that they have gotten older and will all be starting a new chapter of their lives soon. Though, speaking of getting older, it's odd they're all still ten. I read probably about half of the series (as I don't own the rest), and it seems like more time passed than less than a year. I really think they should have been eleven, if not almost twelve.
But this was a good way to end the series, with the Pony Pals trying to solve their problem but then realizing life is changing, and then accepting said change.
Pony Pals was one of my favourite "horsey" series growing up. Jeanne Betancourt has a writing skill that makes the books easy to read and interesting. I read many of the series and I was enthralled with each new story.
THE LAST PONY RIDE (Super Special #6) was the last ever book in the series. I actually cried because a good thing was over.
This is the first book i have read at the ISS. Its awsome, i love horses, if you are a person that like horses this a book for you. Its and adventure book. I Loved IT!!!!!!!!!!! :)
