When a dismembered torso and four limbs are found by a homeless person scavenging in rubbish bins behind a takeaway, the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are called to action.
After the harrowing events of the Miss Murderer, Detective Inspector George Beaumont is finally given a second chance to prove himself as SIO, and nothing is going to stand in his way of getting justice. Maybe not even the truth.
As the case progresses, they quickly determine similarities to a cold case from thirty years ago, and as the inquiry develops, it soon becomes clear the chief suspect from that cold case is now theirs.
Set within the suburbs of Leeds, West Yorkshire, this fast-paced British detective novel is a thrilling murder mystery that will keep you guessing until the end.
This is the second book on this series and I think it's important to read book 1 in the series prior to this, to fully understand and appreciate this book.
I really enjoyed this book, I thought the main storyline was cleverly written, and I find myself wanting to read more in the series to find out more about the characters.
Currently, this is a really good crime series that has me already downloading the third installment. A word of caution, this is a gruesome, graphic book and definitely not for the faint hearted.
I came across this Author on face book with his first book that I read it is called The Miss Murderer I enjoyed so much. I got and not long finished the second book called The Bone saw Ripper another excellent read which I thoughtly enjoyed. Now I have just downloaded the 3rd book called The Blonde Delilah which I'm about to start reading some time tonight I would definitely recommend to these books to other avid readers like me.
I was disappointed with the first book but persevered with the second. It’s not a bad book but there are discrepancies and sometimes it feels like you’ve missed a page or two as it can be disjointed at times
So glad I decided to read this second book in series…….didn’t enjoy the first one overmuch, but feel the author has now settled with his main characters so now also has a good back-story in the daily conversation.
I couldn’t get into this story as much as the first book. Some of the dialogue was repeated or didn’t sound natural. Wrong characters mentioned a couple of times, capitalisation of words when there shouldn’t have been and it just went on a bit too long. I’ll preserve with book 3 though.
What a great book. Loved the first one but this is so much better. I had in mind who the killer was and I was right but it took some thought. On to the next one.
I liked the book, but I found the final part a little long and confusing. but there were some great surprises and I will continue to read the collection.
