Worth it for the steamy scenes alone.
Nice little read. I loved the steamy scenes. They were filled with dirty talk and some praise kink which I am here for.
The love story didn’t connect with me as much. Its just hard for me to enjoy stories where the hero has a dead wife/family that he loved. I’m obviously not a second chance at love type of girl. Still a good read especially if you don’t mind that angle.

Having only read one other Mia Brody book that was a lighthearted romcom and left me with all the good feels, I stupidly ASSumed all her writing would be like that ONE book. (*Romancing the Sheriff review also on Goodreads)
Rescue Me addresses the very dark and heavy topic of Human Trafficking. This is an issue that is near and dear to me. I've been a vocal advocate in spreading awareness throughout my community (check to see if your county/city has a human trafficking taskforce) and have participated in the Dressember fundraiser for 5 years. (Look it up it's an amazing nonprofit that assists victims)
Sierra is a victim on the run and seeks out her dad's best friend Colt Winters for help. She is scared, conflicted, confused, and isn't sure who to trust.
Having experienced great loss resulting in his now daily battles with personal demons, Colt struggles with his attraction to Sierra, while trying to build trust and uncover what or who it is she is running from.
I absolutely LOVED this story. It was incredibly emotional and gave me all of the feels. It was very well written and poses questions directly to the reader in regard to who we see as victims, perpetrators, and what goes on in our own backyards.
The spice was HOT! I've always been a sucker for a good praise kink and there is plenty in this book.
This is the first in a new series and several characters were introduced throughout the town as Easter Eggs that left me wanting more. There is also cross over with another completed series (Courage County Brides) that I have yet to read but added to my TBR list because the little bit that I saw had me wanting to know more about these sexy cowboys!
I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the entire series.

I completely fell in love with Sierra and Colt. This was such a wonderful book! I enjoyed both drawing each other out. Sierra is Colt’s best friend’s daughter, unfortunately Sierra’s father died in action. While he was dying, Colt promised to watch over Sierra.
Sierra has been through so much and finally gets her chance to reach out to Colt. He’s surprised to see her but recognizes that she needs help. Both are attracted to each other but are afraid to act on it.
This was an incredible book that I highly recommend!!.

Survived
What an intense, exciting, some parts very devastating story. What Sierra had to go through because of her stepfather, was so horrible, how can her mother leave her there? How? Sierra got away and found her father best friend in the service, he was also going through pain with loss of his Wife and son, thank god Sierra saved him from the darkness, people don't realize how precious life can be, we take it for granted. Now after all these two been through, they are now married and having a baby. Life is a roller-coaster ride, hard, fast, bumps, dips, it's so unpredictable. I pray and wish these two make it now in the light.

I loved this story. I'm usually not a fan of widower stories but Mia did such an amazing job that I truly loved this story and never felt like Sierra was accepting the "2nd best" spot. Colt didn't dwell... Poor Sierra needed the love and acceptance that big growly alpha Colt provided. The two of them together was just perfect. The heat level was good and the love was spectacular ❤️ definitely recommend! Can't wait for Brody and Ryker's stories!

This story is absolutely fantastic. Sierra and Colt are perfect together. Their romance is slow and torturous and will make you scream, “get together already!” Colt and Sierra have good reasons for ignoring the spark the other makes them feel. This is a forbidden romance after all. But the wait is worth it, the drama level is perfect and the $exy times are H-O-T!

Sierra goes to the one person she knows she can count on, Colt. Although they start off rocky, they find a groove the works for them. There is action and some suspense as to what is happening. This was a great read that was balanced just right with all the elements. I can't wait for the next book!

This was such an easy story to get lost in! I enjoyed getting to know Sierra and Colt. They really are perfect for each other regardless of their age difference. Sierra’s sweetness blends perfectly with Colt’s grumpy. You will not be disappointed in this great story!

Loved it
Colt and Sierra's story is so wonderful. Sierra is on the run and she runs to het dads best friend Colt. This is supposed to be forbidden. However its feels right. Her secret catches up to her and all she can do is run to save Colt. This instalove story is amazing. I couldn't put it down

Everyone deserves a Colt
This was a great book only a couple things I didn't like we never find out what happens with her skevey stepfather, and I wish it was longer maybe a few years into the future. I can't wait for Brody and Ryders books.

Wonderful
I like the emmotional depth of M.Brody's stories and this one is no exception. So many layets of feelings that are put together with a great action movie plot, a story with serious real life topics and a love story, that is hot and tender, sweet and steamy. Excellent!

Looks like this is another series that will pull you in and keep you on pins and needles. Lots of twists and Turns in this one. Sierra becomes a victim in human trafficking because of her stepfather. She runs to her dads best friend Colt and some of his buddies help Sierra.

Mia Brody brought tears to my eyes but joy to my heart at the end! Some very sad parts for both characters but excitement and an HEA! Can't ask for more.
