A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.

Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!

When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.

As Emotional as it is Hot!
I feel like a broken record when I read a new A.K. Evans book because once I finish it, I vow that it is my new all-time favorite Evans story. Every. Single. Time. This was absolutely the case with “Haunted,” Book 4 of the Harper Security series of suspenseful contemporary romance. I’ve adored Brixton Steele since his first appearance in the series - all that broody, protective, sexy deliciousness is hard to ignore. A military veteran, he is carrying some serious survivor’s guilt, and that vulnerable side only makes him hotter, in my humble opinion. Super smart beauty Liv Harper, the object of his desire for more than a decade, has her own baggage to unpack, and watching these two work toward a long-awaited HEA - healing each other while also dealing with a bit of a mystery - is just so perfect. As always, Evans gives us a bit of suspense in an emotion-packed story that sizzles right off the page with all that chemistry. I absolutely love everything about this story, and I will never get enough. I’m just gonna go sit in my corner and reread the Everything series while I wait for the next one. ALL THE STARS!!!

It is not easy to explain how much I enjoyed this second chance story!
Liv is adorable and Brix has several things we want from our book boyfriends! *wink, wink*

This story is absolutely packed with all the things we LOVE about this genre. Sadness and pain. Loss and heartbreak, frustration and anxiety. What should have brought these two together, separated them for soo long! And sprinkled throughout was hope. Hope that they can overcome the obstacles keeping them apart. Hope that they will make it through the loss and come out the other side.

I think for me, this is the main reason I enjoy reading this author's works so much. The way the characters are crafted allows me to escape into their world, and connect with the story so well. Her originality and creativity is always entertaining. I find her characters stay with me long after the pages have stop turning.

Brixton and Liv have steamy chemistry together (when they actually figure themselves out 😄) and I really enjoyed their HEA. I recommend reading this book in the correct reading order to get the most from the story.
I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book and voluntarily leave my review.

My favorite in the series so far. While just as intense, it is the layers to the story and the complexity of Liv and Brix, together and on their own. Then there is the twist, and that is all I will say about that!

While we have always known how Harper Security got its name, we never knew much about the man or his family. Ryan was a loving brother, boyfriend, and son, and we get to see his early years. We learn even more from the ones he left behind, his sister Liv and best friend Brix. Brix and Liv have a complicated relationship that started in High School, but due to some misguided decisions spend too much time away from each other. Until Liv’s world collapses and she needs help.

All of the emotions will get a workout, but worth it in the end.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

FTC DISCLAIMER: i RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH ONE OF A VARIETY OF SOURCES. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

This was a wildly anticipated edition in the series, due to the fact that it centered around a person related to the namesake of the company, but I wasn't entirely sure of the appeal at the time I went into reading this...and by the end, I wasn't sure it lived up to the hype. Don't get me wrong, this is a wonderfully romantic story, and if you only look at it within that framework, it is an immensely satisfying read. However, looking at this book through the larger series lens, it lacks something when compared to the other novels in the series. It felt to me like there was barely any suspense in the story, and what was there felt disjointed and not matching up with each other. Granted, it all dovetailed together in the end, but I was often frustrated by the seeming lack of movement on the suspense front.

Setting that aside, I adored Brix and Liv's love story!! It was amazing to see it blossom over the years, and then flower into the relationship that they deserved with each other. It felt like a second chance, high school sweethearts, redemptive romance all rolled into one and sprinkled into a world that we readers have gotten to know very well over the course of the series. While this was a slight disappointment to me, it was a very entertaining read overall, and a definite asset to the series at large!

This one hurt. Brixton and Liv had so much pain, so many misunderstandings, and so much history between them that it was a wonder they could communicate at all. But when trouble came around, they managed to push past every bit of hesitation and regret to reach out for help. And it’s a good thing Liv did, because Brix was living in his own personal misery that required her to save him just as much as she needed him to save her.

There are a few surprises this time around, too. Friendships gone sour, lies around many corners, and some firsts that were utterly unexpected to one of our duo. Okay, to both, but one knew that the firsts were going to be a thing and the other found out real-time. And I loved every bit of it all. Brix decided to quit messing around and put his heart on the line to keep Liv in his life, and Liv did the same when Brix thought he’d lost her for good. This couple was just another reason to love this series because they may argue and fear, but they also make up and love even harder. And who wouldn’t want that?

This is the 4th book in this incredible series, and this is Liv and Brixton’s journey. Liv always swore that she would never enter the building names after her brother, but some bad decisions have her in the position that she needs help. Liv has had a crush on her brothers’ best friend for years, never knowing if her feeling were reciprocated. When Brix sees Liv walking into the building, he knows he will do whatever he must to keep her protected and safe. There are a few curveballs in their path, but will they be able to overcome them together? This is a well written story which has intense chemistry, 2nd chances, loss, grief, healing, intrigue, regrets, guilt, tension, tragedy, friendships, and love, which leads to an all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Liv and Brixton have always had a crush on each other but when Liv’s brother and Brixton’s best friend is killed while they serving overseas they both are devastated. Brixton feels like the only way he can get over his grief from losing his best friend is to distance himself from Liv, his little sister. When Liv is in danger, even though her relationship with Brixton is tumultuous, she seeks him out as he is only one who will be able to protect her. Will he only protect her because he is haunted by his best friend‘s death? Will Brixton come to terms and that his true feelings for Liv show?

In this latest Harper Security Ops book we get to know Brixton
much better and his background. He was so hard on himself and I was heartbroken for him. However, he did make some questionable decisions that ended up having far-reaching effects, on him and Liv, Ryan’s younger sister.

Liv was slightly insular, in that her social circle was extremely limited, and this caused some major issues for her, especially when she was young. She was intellectual and a talented pianist but not what you’d call a party animal. No problems with that, except when the bottom of her world collapsed and she couldn’t cope. For all of this, and it’s not a spoiler as it happens quickly in the story, you can’t help liking Liv and admiring her determination and willingness to move on.

Together Liv and Brixton had incredible chemistry and although they needed to unpack a lot of things between them, it was great to read about their budding romance. Hand in hand with the romance element was the mystery that was exposed. Pieces of the puzzle dribbled down but when a sudden turn in the plot happened, a twisty surprise was revealed—I loved it!

Great characters, a solid storyline, and a plethora of emotions make this an entertaining and enjoyable story.

This is the 4th book in this series and it is just as intense and complex as the others before it. I love the chemistry that flies between Liv and Brixton. Their relationship was tricky with Brixton making some not-so-great decisions. They were both troubled in their own lives. They are both quiet loaners, especially Liv, and when her world implodes she has only one place to run.

This book is a little different and there is a twist that's brilliant. Which made this book extra enjoyable. It was so full of emotions, pain, loss, sadness, and heartbreak with a whole heap of other stuff thrown in. Now I will be silent on the what's and where's as I feel you need to read it for yourselves.

This book is a great second chance romance. It's a great series as well. One that I will be telling everyone to read.

Another amazing book from A.K Evans! Haunted is book 4 in the Harper Security Ops series. While each book can be read as a stand-a-lone, I highly recommend reading all of them.

In this book we get the story of Brixton and Liv Harper. Liv is the sister to Ryan Harper who lost his life while serving in the military and Harper security is named after. Their story is hot and steamy but also full of heartbreak and healing.

Brixton and Ryan served together and were best friends. When Brixton comes home for Ryan’s funeral, he says goodbye to Liv and walks out of her life. While he thinks he is doing her a favor and protecting his heart, it absolutely crushes her. Liv feels the loss of brother and now her friend as well which leads her down a path that isn’t the safest.

Several years later they have had no communication but both still feel the heartbreak of losing Ryan and each other daily. When an incident leaves Liv scared for her life, she knows the only person she can turn to is Brixton. The connection they have resurfaces almost immediately and they both finally admit their feelings for each other. While their chemistry is off the charts, they still have a lot of fear and Brixton’s guilt to work through. There is also the mystery of what sent Liv to find Brixton at harper security as well.

Every book in this series has been amazing. While they are all suspenseful romance and have interconnected characters, they are all so original. Although I have loved all of them I have to say this one is my favorite. It sucked me in from page one and I couldn’t put it down. I loved both Brixton and Liv and was rooting for their HEA every page! I can’t wait to read Damon and Avalon’s story when book 5, Sacrifice releases this fall.

Ms. Evans just keeps giving us gripping storylines and characters that are relatable, loving and a joy to read about. Haunted is the fourth book in her Harper Security Ops series and it has its sizzling moments as well as some twists and turns that will surprise you. Ms. Evans had me sitting on the edge of my seat while I was trying to figure out who was behind everything. Were all the incidents related or are there different situations that have everyone on edge? Will the secrets come out and hearts survive?

This is Liv and Brixton's story and how they try to come to terms with Ryan's death, Liv's brother and Brixton's best friend. Brixton is haunted by what happened while they were deployed and cannot forgive himself. Liv, Ryan's sister, spiralled after his death as well as when Brixton walked away when he returned home. For the longest time, Liv had feelings for Brixton but he never seemed to be interested. Brixton's thoughts all focused on Liv while he was away and wanted to get home to her but after Ryan's death, he could not face her. Years later Liv found herself in a situation that required her to seek help and where else would she go but Harper Security, the business named after her brother and where Brixton worked. Truths are told, sparks ignited into flames and danger presented its ugly head.

I honestly have to say that this story quite possibly is my favourite of this series. I know that I probably said the same thing about the last one in this series but the storylines keep getting better ad better and the characters keep getting more and more interesting. I am excited to see what Ms. Evans has in store for us with the next installment in this series.

Second chance with the only person that completes you!

Ryan Harper touched many lives in his short time on earth and two of the most important people in his life struggled alone after they lost him. They were meant to morn together and find peace in their lives, but that didn’t happen and when they find themselves back in touch with each other, their lives seem to turn around.

Liv Harper lost her big brother, but she also lost the only other person that got her and that her heart latched onto. Unfortunately, her choices in life after these losses almost caused her more pain. Until Brixton Steele came back into her life and saved her one night in a bar where her bad choices caught up to her. He saved her and after their confrontation, she decided that Brix was right, her brother would not be happy. So, she found her way again and settled her life as best she could, but when danger finds her again due to circumstances beyond her control, she will have to go to the one place she has avoided since it opened, Harper Security Ops. When she went there, she wasn’t expecting for things to work out the way they did, but she couldn’t say she was unhappy about it.

I loved this story of Brix and Liv. They both suffered so much when they lost Ryan, and they weren’t really living their lives until they ran into each other again. This story is sweet, tragic, suspenseful, and wonderful. I loved the theater scene and the gumball machine treasure. I so remember those. I love the characters and can’t wait for more of this series. A. K. Evans has such a wonderful way of drawing the reader in with her words and stories. I love her books! I give this book a 5-star review.

This is the fourth book in the series. They can be read as stand-alone books. I haven’t read the first book but I have read the others. I wasn’t lost at all. This book focuses on Brixton and Liv. This book is special because Liv is the brother of Ryan Harper. The reason Harper Security has its name. He served with some of guys and died. It was his dream to open a security firm. Brixton knew Liv before they even deployed. He and her brother where friends in school. He thought he was helping her by walking away after her brother’s death but it did the opposite. Now almost ten years later she has come to him for help. Someone has broken into her apartment and her room mate was attacked in a separate incident. Brixton can’t believe Liv is in front of him again. He has made so many mistakes when it comes to her. After hearing her out about what has happened, he is done making mistakes. He isn’t going to waste this chance to reconnect with her and maybe be with her like he has always wanted. This book was a fantastic read. I couldn’t put it down once I started. Brix and Liv have a wonderful connection. They have liked each other for a long time. Liv has always seen herself and a book nerd and that no one wants her in that special way. She was completely devastated by her brother’s death. Brix was devastated as well but held so much guilt about it. He originally wanted to come home and claim Liv but then her brother died and everything changed. This is my favorite book in this series so far. Great job A.K. Evans. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

As teens, Liv Harper, her brother Ryan and his BFF Brixton Steele, hung out. Liv and Ryan liked each other but nothing happened before Ryan and Brixton joined the military. Ryan was KIA, Brix was wracked with guilt and Liv spiraled down. After paying respects to the family Brix couldn’t visit again but saw Liv two years later, she’d traded her smarts and dreams to be a party-girl. Brixton saved her from a situation but they parted angry. Five years later, Liv was still digging herself out of that self-abuse hole but her bff/roommate was still about the party and it may have brought problems to their door.

Nina had gone off for privacy with a guy at the party minutes before a fire broke out. When they reunited Nina wore an expensive necklace Liv advised she return immediately. Meanwhile, Liv’s had an inordinate amount of customer issues at the electronics company she worked for and dwelt on regretting giving up her dream. Unfortunately, she went home to a burgled apartment. Nina confessed she’d pawned the necklace but they didn’t tell the police.

Two days later, Nina’s brutally mugged and told Liv would be next! Liv swallowed her feelings and went to the security company Ryan’s friends began in his honor to ask for help. It doesn’t take much effort for Brixton to step into the breach to teach Liv self-defense and get to the bottom of the break-in and the threat Nina got to pass onto her.

2nd Chance, friends to lovers, best friends sibling, all grown up, separated by grief.

Liv has had a crush on her late brothers friend, Brix, since she was a kid. He was the only one who didn't treat her like a nerd or a weirdo. When her brother died in action, she lost herself in her grief and the loss of Brix, just accelerated her downward spiral.

Fast forward a few years and when Brix finds her drunk and almost being assaulted, he sees red and they have a disastrous war of words.

In the present Liv has hinky things happening in her boring, dependable job, her friend dragged her to a party that ended in flames and then her friend was mugged. Liv finally does the one thing she swore not to do - Go to Harper Security!

OMW the frustration, grief, anxiey and passion just leaped off the page for me. They had circled each other so long and then allowed their grief to tear them apart. Brix and Liv ay go through the stages of a relationship quickly but they have known each other a long time so it didn't feel weird at all. The chemistry is way off the charts and the surprise Brix gets when he finally gets her in bed - makes his day I'll tell you!

I also loved meeting Nina and Jasmine. I really hope Jasmine gets a HEA soon - she really deserves one after the loss of Ryan

First off, I knew I was going to love this book by the description alone. When a book involves someone going off to fight for your country, I know it’s going to pull at my heart strings. Ryan and his sister Liv were a duo that reached sibling goals. They were always there for each other. Ryan was a brother lost too soon, and now Liv must try to find her way in a world post Ryan. Ryan’s best friend Brixton is trying to live his life but he is constantly haunted and torment with the actions of his past. He’s vowed to keep Ryan’s legacy alive. When Liv comes back into his life, he knows this could be his chance to be happy. I loved Brix and Liv. They are two souls that are drawn to each other. I love A.K.’s Evan’s writing style and I love the world and characters she creates. I had to remind myself to slow down when reading because I wanted to absorb everything. Liv and Brix quickly climbed to my list go favorite characters. This book had a little bit of everything in it. The plot was solid, chemistry was definitely there and the pace was just right. Of course there were times when I wanted to get together sooner but then I realized without the love and pain, we wouldn’t have a book so I’ll just sit back and enjoy the book over and over. I can’t wait until the next book is released.

Both haunted by the loss of not just Ryan Harper, but of each other, Brixton Steele and Liv Harper are given a second chance at the relationship they always should have had in A.K. Evan’s newest release.

Haunted shares the beginning stages of friendship and highschool crush between Brix and Liv before tragedy strikes and Ryan is killed in combat. What follows changes the course of both Liv and Brix’s lives forever as both become emotionally stuck, overwhelmed with sadness, guilt and more. But, when a threat finds Liv, she finally turns to the man that should have been next to her all along . . . Brixton Steele!

Haunted is a true emotional journey for both of these characters. While they both know Ryan was what brought them together, they were always meant to be so much more. It was amazing watching them rediscover one another while navigating past hurts and current day threats. It was also nice watching both Liv and Brix forgive themselves and begin to move on after so many years of being alive, but not really living a full and happy life. A. K. Evans also did a great job with the suspense as Liv and Brix rekindled their relationship, keeping the book moving at a fast pace. 4 stars!

This may be the fourth book in this series, but it just keeps getting better and better - Haunted is nail-biting suspense that is as edgy, enthralling and sizzlingly hot as the first, what I love about A.K. Evans's writing style is that the bedroom scenes take nothing away from the brilliant storyline, Haunted is just that a haunting story born out of tragedy, and heartache.

Harper Security is named after Ryan Harper, the solider who lost his life on the guy's last mission, Ryan's best friend Brixton feels that loss every day and blames himself for Ryan not coming home, that is why for seven years, he has kept his distance from Ryans sister Liv even when she needed him the most as she spiralled out of control when Ryan died, now Liv is in danger and comes to Harper Security for their help, what she wasn't expecting was to be thrown back in front of Brixon the only guy she ever loved, as a geeky teenage Brixon although only 2 years older always made her feel special until when she needed him the most he turned his back on her, now the pair are thrown together and what might have been all those years ago is giving its second chance, but the danger is growing, and the tense is mounting who is after Liv and why?

I really wanted Brixton's story so I was over the moon excited for Haunted, and it exceeded all my expectations but that's not a surprise to be honest. He's a veteran who came home alive while his best friend Ryan Harper did not, so I already knew it would be very emotional & it was. He's battling so much guilt that it hurt my heart a great deal, and his guilt made him leave Liv Harper (Ryan's younger sister & the woman he wanted to make his) behind. Liv has never been right since she lost her brother & Brixton, so she's got her own share of demons. They came across each other some years ago, but she had spiraled so much that he wasn't exactly very nice to her, but it did straighten her up. They come face to face again when she's in danger, and has no other choice but to finally step into Harper Security Ops (her brother's dream) for help. Now Brixton has to come to grips with all his feelings because Liv needs him, and he's not about to let anything happen to her so he moves her into his place. Again, this story had a ton of emotion in the pages, but there's also heat & twists coming in hot to make it all the more intense. I have to say that Haunted is my very favorite story of this author, and I'll be rereading it over & over again so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Haunted is the fourth in the Harper Security Ops series and while no one has knocked off Royce as my fave, Brix is a close second! These are standalone books with interconnected characters.

Brix and Liv's hearts broken in tandem when they lost her brother on the battlefield. Both of them were utterly wrecked but just when Liv thought it couldn't hurt worse, Brix abandoned her. Basically disappeared from her life except for one particularly mortifying encounter seven years ago.

But now someone is threatening Liv and she's got nowhere else to go. No choice but to head to the one place she's avoided for seven years; the security firm bearing her brother's name and Brixton's workplace.

Brix is haunted by his best friend's death and the way he'd always felt about his sister. When she comes to him scared, there's no way he could turn her away. And now that they've reconnected, he can't let her go.

This book was so heartfelt and sweet. Both Brix and Liv are haunted by Ryan's death for different reasons but finding hope in each other helps to heal those broken hearts. Loved this book.

Haunted is the fourth book in the Harper Security Ops series. This is still a fairly new author for me, but I really enjoyed the previous book and looked forward to this one. I was not disappointed! My attention was captured in the beginning, and I couldn’t put the book down. It was well-written, fast-paced, and emotional.
The loss of Liv’s brother destroyed her life and Brixton's disappearance hurt just as worse. When Liv’s life is in danger, she knows the only person who can keep her safe is Brixton.
Brixton was haunted by his memories from his time spent in the military. He felt guilty that he made it home and Liv’s brother didn’t. His grief and guilt kept him away from Liv and her family for years but when her life is in danger everything changes.
Liv and Brixton’s journey to happiness was heartbreaking. The chemistry between them was hot from the beginning and I loved seeing their characters grow. They had a lot of grief, misunderstandings, and guilt to overcome as they reconnected. The intrigue kept me reading and I really enjoyed the book. I recommend it and I look forward to more books from the author.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Book 4 of A.K. Evans Harper Security is amazing. Haunted is the perfect name for this book. Both Brixton and Liv are haunted by the loss of Liv’s brother and Brixton’s best friend, Ryan. Obviously, Liv misses him and is heartbroken but can’t seem to move forward since his death because she not only lost him but lost his best friend and her best friend in the process, Brixton. Brixton is haunted because he blames himself for Ryan’s death and so many times wishes it had been him to die that day and not Ryan. Brixton feels like he can’t be around Ryan’s family since he feels it is his fault Ryan died so he decides to walk away from not only Ryan’s family but Liv, someone he had feeling for but now it doesn’t matter.
Brixton watches Liv for a while and sees her struggles but then sees her pull out of them and get back on track with her life but one day she comes into Harper Security for training and throws herself back into Brixton’s sights, now, he refuses to let her go but can he keep his demons from ruining the best thing that had ever happened to him?
A.K. Evans did a great job with this book. I can’t wait for the next one.

Oh my what a love story!

Liv Harper said that she would never step foot in the building that had her name on it. The building named after her dead brother. But circumstances changed that. She also knew that she would run into the man that she has been in love with since she was a teenager. Brixton Steele still loves Liv but left her because he believed that he got her brother killed. From the moment that they see each other there is no turning back, they will be together! Liv is in trouble but doesn’t know why and Brixton is going to find out and keep her safe. These two burn the pages up as well as the sheets. I can’t say enough about how much I loved this book. It is so 🔥and full of love! I’m not giving any more spoilers because I want you to read this fantastic book! A.K. Evans has done it again, and this book rates as one of the two best that she has ever wrote in my opinion. It’s hard to beat out Roscoe ( Rock Stars and Romance series) as the best man in one of her books but Brixton is side by side with him.

Haunted is another great love story in the Harper Security Ops series. This is a story of trauma, guilt and the long lasting impact of loss and grief. This is the love story of Brixton and Liv. Liv is the sister of Ryan Harper (the namesake of the Security company- established in his honour). When her brother didnt return from his active duty, she didnt just lose him, she lost his best friend Brixton too. Brixton had been a constant in her life and without his stability she suffered the grief alone. Brixton is eaten up with the guilt he carries for the loss of his friend and his attraction to Liv.

Its not until Liv seeks the services of Harper Security that their paths cross again. Through reconnecting they find love and they find healing in sharing their grief. There are some really touching moments in this story that show the long journey of bereavement. When Liv meets her sisters bereaved partner there is a real beauty in that shared connection and pain.

This is a gorgeous best friends sister/fierce protector romance. Brixton is a little broken and Liv is heartachingly in need of his love. It is an adorable read.

The Harper Security team is back and this time working to protect one of their own. I have to admit I wasn't quite prepared for the emotional ride A.K. Evans took me on while reading Haunted.

I liked Liv and her straight forward attitude. She didn't pull punches. She knew what she wanted and she went after it. Except when it came to Brixton. Her lifelong crush. Her brother's best friend. The man she turned to when she needed help.

The chemistry between those two was undeniable. Even when Brixton tried to keep his distance- physically and emotionally. But when the threats and danger to Liv kept growing without any clues as to who was behind it all, everything changed.

Was I able to guess the 'twist' before it was revealed? Yes. Did it take away from my overall enjoyment of the book? Nope. I was still reading as fast as my eyeballs would allow to see how it would all play out. Whew! Liv and Brixton's friends-to-lovers romance brought the heat and hurt in equal measure. Their guilt and pain ran deep but in each other they found the peace their hearts needed.

Haunted (Harper security ops 4)

This is the fourth book in this incredible series by this very talented author. This is the story of Brixton and Liv, these two have instant chemistry between them from the start. This is a gripping read from the start, you won’t want to put this book down till the very last page. This book can be read as a stand alone read but you will definitely want to r4ead the other books in this series after you read this one. This story has it all, passion, chemistry, drama, action and suspense. Another fantastic addition to this incredible series of books from this author.

I was given an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my honest review

We are back with the members of Harper Security Ops. This is not only a security firm, but also a tactical and self defense training center.
One of men of Harper Security Ops is Brixton Steele. A man that still suffers from PTSD after his time in the military, especially after the death of his best friend Ryan. He continues to wish it was him who had perished.
Ryan was Brixton’s best friend and when Liv, Ryan’s younger sister, the girl he fell in love with years ago, comes to him for help, it will cost him a great deal. But not willing to turn his back to her, he vows to help her.
From that moment on, the story is an emotional rollercoaster ride in which you pray that at the end both will find each other, and be able to let the old emotional pain be replaced by hope and a new beginning.
This was another wonderful audiobook in the series. Tyler Johnson and Ava Erickson, do a great job with the narrations.
I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is the 4th book in this series and it just as intense and complex as the others before it. I love the chemistry that flies between Liv and Brixton. Their relationship was tricky with Brixton making some not so great decision. They were both troubled in their own lives. They are both quiet loaners, especially Liv and when her world implodes she has only one place to run.

This book is a little different and there is a twist that's brilliant. Which made this book extra enjoyable. It was so full of emotions, pain, loss, sadness and heartbreak with a whole heap of other stuff thrown in. Now I will be silent on the what's and where's as I feel you need to read it for yourselves.

This book is a great second chance romance. Its a great series as well. One that I will be telling everyone to read.

A touching story:
This was another fabulous addition to what has been an outstanding, series thus far. Once again I loved the depth of emotion that this book inspired and that I was able to form an immediate and close connection with the main characters
Brixton was plagued by guilt and had determined it would be best if he kept his distance from his late best friends little sister. Meanwhile Liv was still grieving the losses she'd endured and I was so glad that these two were finally able to reconnect. There was quite a lot of emotion and in-depth issues that had to be worked through but thankfully it wasn't bogged down by all of this. There was also a little intrigue and danger to keep things moving. A great read all in all.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
