Dan Eaton is ready to do some exploring on an old deserted campground in Fallow Creek for a forthcoming cook. He feels observed by something. What is going on in the area? Why are so many deer bones to be found? Wait a minute, what about the human remains he discovered? The author comes up with a very gripping folk horror tale. This is some eerie hiking trip you'll never forget. Really recommended stuff. Eagerly turning to Part 2 now...

Very short but also very creepy. I got a clear sense of dread as I started this, maybe it's because I knew something bad was about to happen, and the character didn't. The wilderness always creeps me out in books and this is no exception.

Would recommend for a short creepy tale.
