This collection of six mysteries features a tween vampire named Ellie and her friends. Each of the stories center around a holiday, three on Halloween, and the others about Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and Christmas.

Ellie is super smart, but she also needs to face her fears. The selections are short which makes them a perfect fit for reluctant or beginning readers. The illustrations add to the fun. Young budding detectives can try to decipher the mystery before getting to the end of each story. As a bonus, the author includes a gratitude journal for readers to download.

I highly recommend this book for readers ages seven through twelve and adults who enjoy a fun read aloud.

👍👍👍Scaredy bat

Scaredy bat and the holiday mysteries is great! I think it is great for people who love mysteries. It contains mini stories are for a few minute reading time!! Each story is about a vampire detective solves mysteries with her friends. I like the book because it reminds us of how to observe in different ways! When they can’t seem to solve a case, scaredy bat, aka Ellie and her friends always go back to what they know to put their ideas together. Then they always get a great guess! Sometimes it takes a few tries though!👍👍🍀🍀🍀

Who destroyed the Valentine robot? What had turned all the adults into leprechaun statues? Can Scaredy Bat find out what turned her little sister into a pumpkin head before her parents come home?

Cute, short mysteries featuring your favorite Scaredy Bat. The mysteries were a little too neat and tidy. Some were even solved with a little help from the detective.

Okay little read for the most part.

Kids will enjoy this book if they're fond of the genre. It's equally interesting to be read by the grownups. I liked every short story, as there is fun and a celebration of horror.

Fast paced enough to keep kids interested. Light hearted. Nice Holiday themes here. Touched on friends and family relationships, problem solving, adventure, urban fantasy.
