This children's picture book tells the story of a family's struggles in soothing a baby in the middle of the night. In this story the family works together to sooth the baby. While this book has a very simple plot and problem, I feel that this book is a great book in teaching about rhyme. Throughout the book, the author incorporated rhyming words and ending sounds, making this a perfect book for younger students who are beginning to learn about ending sounds and rhyming words. It also can expose children to various types of text as well, inspiring them to write in various ways.

Cute story about how a family comes together to soothe a baby in the middle of the night. First comes sister to cuddle with the baby and tell him stories, and then comes Mama with a bottle. Finally the baby falls back to sleep and everyone can go back to bed. Family togetherness, even in sleep deprivation. Sounds like fun... not! Actually, it is a sweet tale and the kids seem to like it.
