How does it still hurt seeing their paths cross, their pasts revealed, the truths unraveled. Can you learn to love a murderer, when you were the one who taught him what it means to love? 🥺 It'll never get old seeing Shavonne dislike his neighbor, this obsessed onion peeler, Llewellyn with abandon, someone he can't stand, because of how much he's drawn to him. 'In my world, there’s just you.' For how long he's yearned to share in his happiness with the man who gave meaning to his existence and taught him the meaning of life. 🫶🏻
Llewellyn's attempts to win Shavonne over will never not be adorable. Shavonne, unloved for twenty-nine years of his life, only to discover what it means to care for someone in the most unlikely of ways was bittersweet. 🥰 So heartwarming at how his strange dorkiness with a face 'so lovable that Shavonne ended up smiling a little... thinking, If there’s a moment when you realize you’re in love, it would be right now.' was able to slowly creep its way into his heart.

“You’re wrong. I have always waited for Shavonne.”
I realized now how much the art enhances the writing. As much as Llewellyn's past is unveiled in the same trajectory, and Shavonne goes to the same lengths to protect him, it did not hit as hard as it did, with the inclusion of the art. 🫂 It's not because I already knew what to expect. It's just that the art really does elevate the way it pulls you into the plot, and does not allow for certain repetitive scenes to be taxing, when written out in detail.

The fan translation did a good job capturing the mystery behind Shavonne's suspicions of Llewellyn's murderous tendencies. 👌🏻 Everyone is bad. It’s just a difference whether it’s bad for me or not. The weird dark humor still hits the right notes of how he's so reluctant to accept his hand of friendship, until it does become impossible to refuse, when feelings catch on.
I liked that I highlighted a lot of the same quotes from the novel that I did when I read the manhwa. I didn't remember them exactly, but I felt the same way about how they moved me. 🥹 It's an emotional slow-burn that prickles with a deep need to fulfill a love deserving of it, while trying to stave off the danger that refuses to leave them alone, intent on tearing them apart. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

The warmth and comfort they shared together, the feeling of loving Lewellyn. The feeling of being loved by Lewellyn, the gentle trust in exposing their truest selves, and the joy in seeing them overcome their shared trauma and pain made accepting Murderer Llewellyn's Enchanting Dinner Invitation once more so very worth it. 🕯️🍽️🔪

📚⇢ Este manhwa fue hermoso, creí que sería la típica historia donde un asesino se obsesiona de un chico y lo acosa siendo un completo red flag con patas. Pero por el contrario, nuestro Lewellyn es un hombre amable, cariñoso, atento, caballeroso, tierno y una green flag con su amorcito; Shavonne también es un hombre maravilloso, amable, honesto y la única persona en el mundo que trato a Lewellyn con todo el amor que se merecía. Créanme esto es de lo mejor que hay tanto en trama, desarrollo de personajes, pasados tristes, angustia y romance con final feliz.

I just finished the last chapter, and let me tell y’all this was absolutely beautiful! I loved it seriously too much, Llewellyn is definitely in my top 10 if not 5 of my favorite manga men, he was everything you could ask for. 5++ stars!

Interesante historia. Aunque supongo que el libro debe ser mejor aún. Hay cosas que no se, siento que faltaron como expresarlas o dibujarlas para poder captar mejor algunas escenas.
Entonces definitivamente es un mangwha en el que se debe leer el libro🥰

when. they got to the reveal i was gagged like HELLOOOO
AND im so glad they showed both lewellyn and shavonne’s perspective instead of just one like that and the fact this was more of a psychological thriller bl really itched my brain just right like this is more of what we need in the bl community.
this manhwa has one of the best plots i’ve read and the atmospheric art and incredible storytelling seriously helped bring everything together to create such ass clenching suspense and agonizing angst that ate at my heart like tf brahhh
they’re literally made for each other literally found family literally sole reason for survival and i eat that shit up like it’s christmas dinner
i don’t even care that the ending was so abrupt and i don’t even care we weren’t blessed with post drama side stories THE WHOLE MANHWA WAS SUCH A TREAT

Debo decir que me gusto más de lo que esperaba aunque termino con algunos cabos sueltos pero estoy muy satisfecho con que los protagonistas terminaran juntos y felices.
Como lo he estado haciendo estos días empezare con las cosas que no me gustaron como que hay cosas un poco salidas de la nada a estas cosas me refiero a relacionadas al final de la historia, haciendo que el final se sienta muy rapido y resumido,también los cabos sueltos relacionadas a Llewellynrespecto a su pasado o a su mutacion.
Las cosas que si me gustaron fueron su forma de amar (aunque suene raro), la personalidad de los protagonistas y más en especifico la de Llewellyn, los personajes se sienten tan bien explorados y profundizados esto haciendo que se sientan humanos porque todos hemos pasados por momentos como los del protagonista. Me encanta el ritmo de la historia y como logra que casi todo quede resuelto y bien logrado.
Perdón por las faltas de hortografia y dramatica <3

(and the plot was kinda cool ngl, i’ve never read anything like this before)
the artstyle was so so good too!
I will also never see onions the same anymore.
First I was super skeptic of Llewellyn, and thought he used to peel the onions to like make the blood dissapear from th emurders he made or some shit, but then when we got the backstory I felt so sad bro :').
How Shavonne learned Llewellyn everything, to writing, and reading to even new words.
It broke me that they erased his memories, also the fact that his 'friend' of eight years did that shit to him is crazy.
I am happy that Llewellyn killed all those shit people who treated him like a freaking dog.
I am also so happy Shavonne and Llewellyn found eachother, they literally had no one, but now they will forever have eachother :').
So happy with the ending.
I also first thought this would be a toxic relationship like *cough* killing stalking *cough* but it was actually a healthy one, and a real one. Them being scared to lose eachother, and Shavonne was at one point fking scared that if Llewellyn would die or leave he would be alone again, and that's so real in the real world too, but he still took a chance and got over the scary part of relationships.
They both deserve the world.
One of my new favorite webtoon/manhwa?

this is like my 3rd re-read and god, this never gets old.
I just like everything about it. How Shavonne is torn between his suspicions about Llewellyn and his newborn feelings. The way he surrenders because he's so lonely. Their backstory... after chapter 34, Llewellyn goes from "oh a bad person, but kind to Shavonne" to the most tragic character, who had nothing and no one but Shavonne. I cry every single time. The pacing of the story, the art, the narration of Shavonne and Llewellyn's thoughts... everything just hits right. Genuinely one of my favourite manhwa.

Genuinely one of the best things I've ever read, and certainly read freshly this year. Did not expect to be in tears so much while reading, and the ending - while fast - was still perfect. I didn't expect this depth of tightly woven story even from the odd and compelling beginning.
I've shelved this as 'dark' but the relationship itself is incredible. I'll be thinking about this one for a while, before inevitably rereading it from the start, enjoying all the foreshadowing I didn't see before.

Après 89 chapitres de pure souffrance, le dernier chapitre a été pour moi une délivrance de celle ci puisque Chavonne et Lewellyn ont ENFIN eu leur happy end 😭♥️
