I read this book on one of those ‘pay per chapter’ apps.
ML is a basketball player who falls for the FL, a girl working in strip club to earn the money to pay off her mothers cancer treatment. Drama happens when her mother dies, her brother sets up a meet with her and her absent father, who holds her at gunpoint to get the inheritance to pay off drug debts. FL doesn't want to destroy the ML career so she leave him, but of course friends intercede and they get back together. FL then gets kidnapped by the father to be ransomed back for more money. That all gets sorted out and then there is the court case. The book was a good story but it felt like the storylines didn't flow, they stop started and it felt like two books in one. The first part of the book was action and interesting but then seemed to be slow and fumbling in the second half. And the brother gets away scott free? back to the army and see ya sister and thats it? hrm....
