In this episode, CIS Agents Jack Storm and his partner Riley Booker are approached directly (not through their agency – an unsanctioned mission) by Saudi agent Nora Lake, to extract a Saudi chief intelligence officer who has sought asylum in Canada, in exchange for releasing Jack’s kidnapped wife and daughter. Nora has already double-crossed Jack in an earlier, similar scenario. Russian agent Bronia also makes contact, asking for the same task, while offering the same reward. Bronia nearly killed Jack during previous operations. Are both of these ’ladies’ holding Jack’s family? That’s just the start of the lies and deception in this exciting, twisting, turning, who-do-you-trust adventure.
Mr. Jones has written another page-turner; he captured my attention immediately and kept me engrossed right through the surprising finish. He does it with a solid story line, strong characters and vivid descriptions that make me feel like I’m in the middle of a movie. I recommend reading the series from the start, to get the full impact of Jack’s motivation, but each book is an excellent stand-alone story. I thoroughly enjoy Mr. Jones’ writing – I've read dozens of his books, and I’ve pre-ordered the next one in this series. If you enjoy fast-action spy stories, you need to try Mr. Jones’ books – you will like them!

This latest work from Ethan Jones is by far the best in the series so far. I found it difficult to put the book down as it has real edge of the seat action. Lead character Jack Storm finally uncovers what happened to his wife and daughter. To achieve this he is forced to work for both the Saudi's and Russians for separate reasons, as well as not letting his boss know that Jack himself has his own agenda. Action swings from one side in control to then the other one in control with Jack in the middle. Hand guns, rifles, rocket launchers and body armour are tools of the trade in this fast moving thriller. As much as I would like to tell you what Jack finds out about his family, you will have to read this book for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Congratulations Ethan.

Good read

Jack has a dilemma, he must extract a target and exchange him for his missing family but who does he turn him over to, the Russians or the Saudis?

How can he ensure his family's safe return? He's Jack Storm that's how!

An off the books covert operation becomes much more complicated than Jack and Riley had hoped. Enemies and uncertain allies cause dangerous problems. Very fast paced action with lots of surprising twists and turns. Once started, it’s hard to stop reading this thriller.

A fast and furious story, full of action from start to finish. Not quite the ending I thought it was going to be, but a taste of the next book I think.

Jack and Riley continue their quest to find Jack’s kidnapped wife and daughter. In order to do this they must first extract a wanted fugitive for the King of Saudi Arabia. Along the way they find they can’t really trust anyone and soon the bodies start piling up as they move from one failed attempt to another. This turns into an international conspiracy of who do believe and who do you trust. Loads of fun with awesome characters and non stop action.

Perfect Extraction - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

Jack Storm is back - and this time it's personal, both for him and the Russian assassin, Bronia.

Jack will go to hell and back, in order to finally discover what really happened to his wife and daughter...now he knows they're still alive!

Who's Nora Lake? Will Jack work with the CIS to complete the international mission, before the target's Saudi enemies take them both out?

A fast-paced mission impossible?

Another resounding success for Jack?

Perfect Extraction. Ethan Jones

Jack Storm is faced with one of the most daring assignments of his life. The rescue of his daughter and wife. Believed dead, but being held as prisoners. Bargaining chips for a former Saudi spy chief branded a traitor by by the Saudi Royal family. He must work with formers enemies, namely Russians to make this happen. He also must hide this from his own organization. Non stop action from the first to last page!! Another action past thriller in this series!! My highest recommendation!!

Another great Jack Storm story by Ethan Jones. Perfect Extraction is Book # 5 in this series & it builds on the previous books. While not imperative that one read all the books in order, they will make more sense if you do. Jack is at it again with his partner Riley in what could be his most important mission and extraction with a priceless prize at the end if he can pull it off (& trust those who are making him do it). The Saudi Intelligence Chief has fallen out of favor with the King & is seeking asylum in Canada. The Saudi's want him back & entice Jack to extract him & hand him over. The Russians also get involved. Turns out that Jack's family (who were thought to have died in an aircraft crash) was kidnapped by the Saudi's. They promise Jack to return his family once he extracts the targets & turns him over to the Saudi's. Twists & turns galore. Hard to put this one down once you start. I loved the book & highly recommend.

This latest book from Ethan continues Jack's story and his attempts to recover his kidnapped wife and daughter. Without giving the plot away the story is set in both Canada and Europe and Jack meets up and works with some old adversaries. The book has plenty of action as usual and is a well written easy read. It helps if you have read the previous books in the series but does work as a stand alone story. I enjoyed it.

Perfect Extraction Book 5
As usual Jones has written a full-on action book in this series. Book 5 leads Jack in a sitiuation that he is not willing to share with his CSIS supervisor. This makes his success less than certain. He partners with opposing foes whom he doesn't really trust in an attempt to finally find his wife and child which he thought dead whichfurther complcates his investigation. Does NORA (a spy that even fooled Jack) survive. Is he able to trust former enemy agents to find his family? As always in this series Jones leaves the story with a cliff hanger to want learn more. Do we find out if Jack is reunited with his wife and child? Is he able to return the spy that the Saudis want in exchange for them? Stay tuned!!! 5 stars

“There’s always something good in all of us. Sometimes, we let the evil take over, but deep down, we still have a desire to do the right thing…”

A superb thriller that grips the reader from beginning to end. Brilliantly executed.
With relentless pacing and action-packed adrenaline. An emotional, treacherous and traitorous rollercoaster.
My heart was in my throat until the very end, and once I reached the last word, all I wanted was more. My emotions were not the same when I reached the end.

“The most dangerous animal is the one wounded and cornered,”
Jack Storm is a good character, just a normal human being , a mortal with his ups and downs, uncertainty, indecisions, Anger, hate, Revenge, carried away by his emotions, with plenty of room to grow. That’s one of the priorities I like about Ethan Jones’ stories, his characters and stories are thoroughly realistic. Ethan has a way to pull you right into the book, and make you forget about everything around you!
“We are the operatives. Our families shouldn’t suffer because of our choices, our decisions.”

Perfect Extraction-5 sucks you in and holds on tight, presenting you with a buffet of fierce characters, moral greyness, action, emotional moments, grave and dangerous decisions, and friendship to delight every sense. I highly highly recommend this series!
Thank you Ethan Jones, for delightful and fabulous stories.
Impatient to read the next instalment Terms of Extraction #6!

Fantastic premise! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Whens the next book

Ethan Jones writes explicitly good, strong narratives about how difficult inter-geopolitical agencies operate, with such accuracy and knowledge he manages put such detail in these fast-paced, believable & realistic plots and books. Worthy of more than 5*

Will Jack Storm finally be reunited with his family? The Saudi's and Russians both promise him that reunion if he can perform the Perfect Extraction. Why do they both want the same person? If Jack succeeds who does he work with to get his family back? Who can he trust the most?? With many complications for Jack to overcome, this book keeps you engrossed until the end. And then anxiously awaiting the next book!!!

The story begins with Jack meeting with Saudi agents who want him to perform a task for them. They have something that he wants so he needs to do it. At the same time, the Russians also come into the picture and want him for the same task, he needs to do it for the same reason that the Saudi’s possess. Follow Jack’ actions as he tries to deliver the requested item. Which of the two will win out in the end?

Find out what task Jack has to do, what is so important for Jack that he has no option and which side wins in the end. The ending is great and you don’t want to miss it.

This is definitely a great story and keeps your attention right to the end.

Comraderie among opposing spies otherwise trying to kill each other somewhat stretches my credibility but in fact detracts little from the ability of this action thriller to thoroughly engage the reader.

I liked this book. As I said in my comments on Goodreads, this is a good adventure book.
It is a story about a Canadian special agent who is forced to kidnap an Arabid director, who the King wants dead. This guy is evil and has all the secrets of the King's.
And the Russians are involved as well.
Jack Storm has too many enemies but is cunning and will stop at nothing to bring his wife and daughter home.

ethan Jones delivers yet again with a first class action thrill ride. For fans of this series we finally get some answers to what has happened to Jack Storm's family. Missing since a mission went awry Storm has been trying to function despite having almost no information. Given a chance to get these answers he must work with both Russian and Saudi Arabian operatives, not a good place to be. Add that he can’t tell his own boss what’s really going on Jack finds himself struggling in an almost impossible situation. I always find Ethan Jones’ books fly by for me. I just can’t get enough of them and the writing is always fast paced and on point and the stories always pull me in. This must have been a complicated story to weave together with all the different characters having their own agendas but reading it you feel it’s almost effortless for the author. Overall, another great action spy thriller from the best in the business.

I have been looking forward to this book since I finished book four in the Jack Storm series and I was not disappointed! Immediately you are pulled into the twists and turns of Jack getting ever closer to finding out what happened his family. He will walk through fire to find out. You can bet he will do something below the table to get ever closer. This is the closest Jack has ever been to finding out what happened to his beloved wife and daughter and makes it the most dangerous mission he has been involved in especially with such a high profile extraction. In his desperate situation time isn't on his side, with many different agencies all wanting to get their hands on the former Saudi Spy Chief Jack has to make a choice on who to trust or if he can trust anyone. This is another outstanding, well written story with some twists that I didn't see coming but they added so much to the story.

We immediately start the book where the last one left off. We find Jack involved with the Saudi’s and of course he now knows about his neighbour Nora. She gives him some information that he didn’t believe was possible. Does this mean he’s made a breakthrough in his search?

The trouble of course is just how much can he trust the one offering him this supposed sliver of hope? His source has already betrayed him before; could she be doing it again?

However, prior to getting the intel he so desperately needs and wants there is the inevitable clause. Those with the information need a little task executing, which might just be the most daring extraction of his entire career. Of course as with all Ethan’s books it’s not that straight forward and we have the twists and turns such as this tasking is carried out right under the Canadian Intelligence Service, his agency, nose, and it involves the Saudis and Russians neither of whom are exactly Jacks best buddies.

I believe you’ll discover more questions than answers, before discovering if Jack does risk it all on this daredevil or maverick operation and is he able to pull off?

Well of course the answer is…….. read the Perfect Extraction and see for yourself.

Lose yourself in another Ethan Jones’s brilliantly written and fully believable story line with a wonderfully spectacularly and satisfying twist and an ending that leaves you wanting more.

Another Episode of NOT Rescuing Agnes.

On one hand, if I were CIS I'd have cut ties with Jack Storm. And if I were Jack Storm I would have cut all ties with CIS, SVR, and all of the other alphabet agencies. Jack cannot win with all the restrictions and conditions placed on him, especially by the Russians. We see the grit and determination that are Jack's hallmarks come through time and again in his begrudgingly cooperation with sworn enemies. Jack can - and has - fought through myriad injuries, physical and mental, and setbacks that are dropped in his path, all while he is doing exactly as agreed to. I so hope Jack is able to rescue his wife in the next installment because this storyline is getting very long in the tooth to endure for much longer. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the franchise, just not so much the minutia and tedium.

The normal, average married male as a matter of fact will just about do anything to take care of his family. Jack Storm is not such an average person and when his wife and daughter apparently died in a plane crash he was devastated, yet not giving up hope.
Then he received news at last they are indeed alive.. but captive. And the kidnappers want something almost impossible to achieve. An extraction of a well protected Saudi spy Master.
But then, Jack is not the average man on the street.
Author Ethan Jones once again penned down an action packed spy thriller that seemingly never let's up on the tension as Jack Storm struggles to effect the perfect extraction.
Enjoy

You work for a government extracting people from complicated situations. How the Saudi government kidnapped your family in exchange for you returning someone they call a traitor. But the Russians want a piece, the CIA is involved as well as your own government. What to do. Jack Storm is an exceptional character involved in devious plots and twists with his family’s fate in the balance. What to do and at what personal cost? Who to trust who to lead astray? This is a phenomenal action adventure series that is nonstop. I found myself holding my breath as I read this exceptionally well developed story. Don’t miss out!

3.5⭐️ Another compelling story with intense action. The story itself is 4.5, the writing is not. Unfortunately, this book would be much shorter if the writing was tightened up. My enjoyment of both this and the last book was seriously impacted by the overuse of prepositional phrases, particularly as relates to voice tone. For example: "...he asked in a gruff voice with a doubtful tone." Adverbs would be more concise and less distracting. Additionally, finding other ways to convey a speaker's state of mind, emotions, or intentions would make for better writing and more interesting reading. I pre-ordered this book; I will not pre-order the next one. 😔

Jack Storm finds his family wife and daughter are alive

However, he and Riley are first tasked with extracting a supposed Saudi spy and, in turn, he is promised that he will be given the opportunity to meet with his long-time missing family.

Problems from Russian FSB agent, a Saudi team assigned to assist Jack and Riley, as well as Nora, a fellow CIS Agent, keep appearing unexpectedly out of nowhere and interrupting their search for the Saudi spy. This ends up being one exciting adventure that is difficult to put down.

Grabs you!

This is a fast paced mission. You must be on the ball as you go along or you can miss some intricate details. I'm not going to be a spoiler however, I will say that my heart was just racing as things concluded. There's sadness, empathy and total joy involved. The end mission is not quite done yet though. How Jack is able to do his job with all the agony he is going through personally is beyond me. Looking forward to the continuation!

Perfect Extraction - A Jack Storm Spy Thriller: Assassination Espionage Mission by Ethan Jones
Like the layout of chapters
Easy to keep track of the different countries intelligence departments in this book.
Scenes are so real to life as the descriptions are detailed to put you in the book right near the characters.
Lots of action, new weapons for me and what they can do, travel, strategies ever changing
Just when everything is set and the plan goes on...
There is an excerpt at the end where we meet Stahl and she's going to help Jack in an extraction...
There is something for everyone in this book! You will never expect what happens….
This is my honest opinion.
