Stefan Petrucha (born January 27, 1959) is an American writer for adults and young adults. He has written graphic novels in the The X-Files and Nancy Drew series, as well as science fiction and horror.
Born in the Bronx, he has spent time in the big city and the suburbs, and now lives in western Massachusetts with his wife, fellow writer Sarah Kinney, and their daughters. At times he has been a tech writer, an educational writer, a public relations writer and an editor for trade journals, but his preference is for fiction in all its forms.

This was entertaining but the more I read the more problems I had with it. Nancy and her friends weren't very likeable and it didn't seem to know when it was set - hybrid cars and camcorders both feature heavily - its like flipping between the 1990's and 2020's. I like the clear style though - it was easy to read.

Oh man, was this boring. I'm not sure if it was adapting actual Nancy Drew stories but that's kind of what it felt like by how wordy this was. The art wasn't very good. It was very static and didn't flow at all. Another artist drew in some CGI 3D elements which didn't fit with the art style at all. Reading this felt like a chore.

Alright

I regret to admit that I've not read any of the original Nancy Drew books, but the adaptations I've seen usually have more of a wisecracking snark that I found lacking here. The art was okay and I suppose the characters were portrayed well enough, but the dialog felt a bit stiff and the lead trio didn't felt more like coworkers than friend.

Really enjoyed this. The art was not necessarily to my taste, but the stories and the take on the characters was fantastic.
