What happens when you fall for not one enemy but two?

Riona has long known she’s destined to help a medieval Irish king save his country. What she does not anticipate is being torn between two enemy kings. Moreover, that when she travels back in time, she will end up in the rival Kingdom of Munster, at the whims of both men. Warrior kings determined to make her theirs even if it means sharing.

King Declán of Leinster has but one goal. Not to share Riona but to discover the secret she keeps from him so he can figure out his next step. Or so he thinks until she joins him on enemy land and chooses to stay rather than flee. Until he realizes her adventuresome, curious nature will land her in the last position she expects. Queen of Munster and enemy to her sisters.

Determined to free her from a prison of her own making, Declán steals her away, only for them to wind up on a magical journey born of a secret he never saw coming. One fraught with not just forbidden passion but a prophecy that seems impossible to fulfill. Worse still, a wicked love triangle that cannot be avoided. One that could very well mean war and Ireland’s ruin.

This story contains strong sexual content and is recommended for a mature audience.

A Celtic Secret
The MacLomain Series: Irish Roots, Book 2
Sky Purington
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Riona has known for a long time that she's destined to help a medieval Irish King save his country, but she never realized it would be so complicated or that she would be torn between two enemy kings. Or that when she does travel back in time, that she would end up in the rival Kingdom of Munster, and at the whims of both men. These kings mean to make her theirs even if it means sharing.

King Declán of Leinster only has one goal and that's not to share Riona, but to discover the secret she's keeping from him so that he can figure out his next move. At least that was the plan until Riona joins him on enemy land and for some reason decides to stay rather then run. The last thing he expected was that she would have such a curious nature either.

Declán is determined to steal her away and free her from a prison of her own making, but what comes next is not something he could have seen coming. They end up going on a magical journey born of quite the secret. This journey isn't an easy one as it is full of forbidden passion and a prophecy that seems like it's impossible to fulfill. Now they have ended up in a love triangle that couldn't be avoided and could spell out war and Ireland's ruin.

Sky Purington is absolutely brilliant. I have no clue how this author comes up with these great stories, but I will tell you this, they never disappoint. Once again we go back to ancient Ireland and this time there are so many twists and turns you never know what is around the corner. The thing I really enjoy about Ms. Purington's writing is that I feel like I'm the one who time traveled with the main characters. That is how vivid this book is. I really enjoyed Riona's story and can't wait to see what comes next.

Such a unique storyline and series. I feel you would get more enjoyment if you read the stories in order. Each story is intertwined with the last.

I didn't feel a connection to this couple because of the background with another King and our h. In the end the truth comes out of their relationship, but it was too late for me.

Suspenseful, intrigue, twists, some romance and steam. Lovemaking within marriage, heat level 3+ out of 5.

No cheating, no cliffhanger for our couple but you will not know how the 2 brothers and 2 sisters lives will play out. I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you some tidbits.

I received an advanced copy. All opinions are my own and freely given. (ljb)

It's still good but,,,,

I'm heading for book 3 . I am not nearly as fond of the Druidess Iron as I was her sister. Madison had substance and was interesting. I could see hanging out with her and just chatting for days. Rion was not developed beyond pretty and magical. The kind of chick you look at and go " girl, please". But the rest of the cast of characters don't disappoint. I'm still in on this story,,,

This is story is full of action. There is never a dull moment in the lives of Declan & Riona. With the use of magic good fighting evil to get Declan to fulfill his proficy isn't the easiest achievement. I love the parts that go back in history for the characters to remember times they have forgotten. I enjoyed having Cian & Madison as part of this story too!

A fun look at the past, present and future!

These books have a special bond with the reader. While it may not be necessary to read the first in the series, doing so will make the experience richer. It's a wonderful mixture of major, history, love and Ireland! Once you read the first 2 books, get ready to start the 3rd one!

The story of Riona and Declan felt very complex. I enjoyed how it fed into the overall story, but there were just so many unknowns about previous lives and all the magical interactions around them that it was quite challenging to follow what was really happening NOW. Once more details of the truth was revealed near the end, it was a bit more satisfying to see the plot unfold.

True love conquers all

Split between two kings, Riona struggles to figure out who was her true love before as an "Unamed One". So very interesting as she works through her lost memories. Can't wait for the next installment of this series.
