The most helpful thing about this book is the normalization of how hard it can be to work in a male dominated industry, since sometimes the discrimination takes the form of subtle patterns of being overlooked. Those patterns may be hard to prove, but they take a significant toll. No wonder 50% of female engineers leave the field after about a decade.

Wow, this book hits the mark on just about everything. Its a great, practical overview of many of the challenges we women face in our careers and provides advice, validation, and practical tips for how to approach different situations. As someone who isn't big into podcasts, I found the information that was drawn from the HBR Women at Work podcast episodes really great, but I can see if you're a devoted follower finding that repetitive.

I would recommend this as a resource for any person of any gender to have on their shelf.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. The authenticity & transparency of what women endure in the workplace was revealed from every possible angle. The tools suggested to overcome the inequalities are realistic enough to put into practice.

It answers the questions I was always too shy to ask. For anyone struggling with "rules of the game", imposter syndrome or just wants their feelings validated it's a must read.
