It took me less than a day to finish it. The basis of the story seemed interesting but I got bored as I began reading the book. I actually skipped most of the book. The sex scenes didn't do for me so I skipped those.
Although I skipped most of the book, I didn't feel that I missed any important detail. I was able to pick up at any point of the book and understood what was occurring.
The writing was good, but this one I could do without. I enjoyed This is Where I Sleep more.

Definitely a different read and a worth while read. Both characters though they had really painful histories and somewhat like stories, we're able to come together and make a happy life together.

This was my first read from this author. The book was very well written and I got a clear definite understanding what this book was about. Jeremy and Tasha were hot from the jump off. Their relationship was complicated even with their sexual abuse they both went through. The BDSM scenes were crazy and found out some very informative information about the craft. Must read some more books by this author. Good job Tiffany Patterson.

Excellent Read! I thoroughly enjoy this book. It was well written and entertaining from start to finish. I love a bad-boy and Jeremy did not disappoint. Can see myself ready this book again.

Tasha past trauma experienced by reliving it while sharing with Jeremy - in addition to Trudy's current trauma - not to mention Jeremy being abandoned..... I was just expecting this installment to be more emotional. However, there were some pretty good scenes.

Loved it!
Storyline was great even though they had a few phrases/scenes that reminded me of fifty shades of grey. I loved all the major players and would recommend this book .

Jerremy is definitely an alpha dom!
He tries to maintain control when his Storm comes into his life in the form of LaTasha. She shattered his control by being the one woman he vowed to stay away from but could not. She had other plans for him. From the time of their first dance at her sister Coral and his cousin Liam's wedding, they resisted until there was no going back
With them both opening up to each other and finding out they each came from a background of abandonment, they came closer into each other into being the one person that the other needed to feel complete. Tasha was determined that she would not let Jerremy miss the opportunity to make amends with his mother before she died since, she herself, did not get that same opportunity. She knew he would regret it in the long run.
Jerremy was the one person that was able to get Tasha to confess her early childhood drama. He accepted her, warts and all and so did she. She could see the same scenario of her early childhood happening to her little friend Trudy and was determined to protect her.
Tiffany did a good job with this storyline of childhood abandonment and how it affects adults. Jerremy's need for control morphed into BDSM as a result. Tasha's story writing was her way of escape morphed into her career.
Even though BDSM is not my cup of tea, Tiffany wrote about it in a tasteful manner. The characters were complicated and the storyline believable. Now I need to go back and re-read This Is Where I Sleep.

This is my review and how I see it. Author Tiffany Patterson has done it again, in My Storm. This book started off hot and only continued to burn brighter as it went. At first, I was wondering who Jeremey was speaking of and to now know that is was Coral's (This is Where I Sleep) secret little sister Tasha made for a more interesting read. Just remembering Coral's reaction to Andre (Black Butterfly) about Stacey, I could only imagine what Coral would do to Jeremey if he hurt Tasha.
Both Jeremy and Tasha had difficult past and Tasha's broke my heart. And to see, this real-life situation play out in this story, through the mind's eye of Tiffany Patterson, girl I salute you. H3ll, I thought Nikola, Raul, Andre, Liam, and Landon were the shiznit, but man oh man that Jeremy was nothing nice either.
One of my favorite parts of the book, was after their first night together when she was able to overcome her writer's block that she made her way to his office laptop and all.
This book is for anyone who likes to read about overcoming obstacles and finding love when you did know you were looking for it.

Love, trust, and comfort
Jeremy and Latasha were made for each other. They learned how to love, trust, and comfort each other in their own special way. They were able to face their pasts, let go of the anger and hatred, and embrace love in a new way that they have never known before. The plot was well written, and the characters were well developed. It was good to see the interactions of Jeremy and Latasha along with the supporting characters Liam, Coral, Stacey, and Andrew and to catch up with their lives. Even though I have heard of Storm and Wolverine, I have never read the comics or saw the movies. However, I am grateful that they served as a catalyst for Jeremy and Tasha to survive and to feel apart of something deeper at difficult times in their lives. This book was filled with plenty of hearty laughs, mind blowing sex, horrid pasts, blessed futures, and most importantly unrivaled love. Another good read by the author that I have no problem recommending.

Trudy
Pretty much only finished the book to figure out what happened to Trudy. I found my self thinking that considering the "strong feelings" the heroine was feeling she didn't give the victim the amount of attention that a former victim would have given. Also None of the characters seemed to really connect the character development just wasn't there for me they all lacked meat and depth. I also didn't like the male love interest he was a cocky asshole and just ugh and Don sub relationships are tricky when there's been abuse and this author just didn't make it believable. It just didn't vibe for me.

Not so fond of .....
I wasn't fond of this story. Too much Dom and sub for me. I don't knock it if that is what you are into but darn, this was extreme. I didn't think egotistical, arrogant, mean Doms like him fell in love or get married. I thought from some of my readings, they get bored with a sub after so long. Anyway, what do I know? That lifestyle turns me off. Every time I have read a book about a Dom and sub, the sub has been abused when she was younger. So, are you all saying they like that sadist stuff? They thrive off of pain? Next book....

Love Jeremy and Tasha's story. Tiffany Patterson does it again, but this one has a little kinky Alpha dom/sub romance to it. I enjoyed it thoroughly as well as both of their complicated backstories and how they don't let their complicated pasts get between their blossoming love for each other. Very enjoyable read!

So it's now 6/8 and >.< I thought I had added this to GR but didn't, which is why the "read" dates ~ don't match... anyway.
Dammit. I forgot to add this to GR - and now books being out of order IS GOING TO BOTHER ME SO MUCH!!! LOL DAMMIT!!! But ... *sigh* there's nothing I can do.
So ... O_O it seems like it only took me a day to read this book considering when I started Luke [and finished Coral and Liam's book] but :X it kinda felt like this book took longer.
Jeremy is a dom [and - now I low key wanna re-read this to see if there was more of a thing with Melody and Landon - cuz I've since read THEIR book after this one - but I also don't think so?] but like ... [heh 😅 I've already read 3.1 TP books AFTER finishing this one...]
LaTasha and Jeremy are... a really good fit but just ... 🙄 to the BDSM stuff - I just ... it really didn't seem like they had sufficient conversations. [Also the whole cuffs thing like ... >.> isn't it ... subs who wear cuffs not doms?] I'm not in the lifestyle but reading books by authors who ARE - but again - it was all just ...
I dunno.
But even like ... so the sex was whatever - it felt like there wasn't much of a RELATIONSHIP - although it was very intertwined with the sex - the "I know what you need more than you know" - but what REALLY pushed it over was ...
ok - so - I will say things already didn't start out great with the opening. On the one hand, yeah, I get it. There are some AWFUL juvenile facilities out there. [But like also like ... argh - that's ... *sigh* ] just - when stuff is like work but too peripheral to IRL.
BUT MORE - what happens at the end O_O with Tasha goes on her ~rescue mission which WHERE WAS YOUR BRAIN, FRIEND?! WHERE?!
And just ... yeah it all works out but also thank god Jeremy is badass and of course Coral and Liam are.
I did like that Tasha and Stacey developed a good relationship.
The ... I dunno.

My storm
Omg 😲 omg 😲 omg What a ride! What an amazing story. I read all 5 of these stories, starting with Black Pearl. Each book was better than previous. I get to My Storm and I can't even put it into words how amazing this story was. I loved Nik and Devyn, Mercedes and Raul, Stacey and Andre, Coral and Liam, but omg Jeremy and Tasha! I hated to see it end.
Jeremy to me was a hottie, a dark, sexy as hell hero. No nonsense. Nothing like his cousin Liam, who I thought was pussywhipped! Coral was truly the pussywhipper. 😂Jeremy at times scared me with his ferocious intensity, but that was who he was. Tasha was tough, and she needed a man who complemented her. Jeremy did that and more.
The only issue I had with Jeremy was his BDSM Dom lifestyle. I've read stories with this theme, and for the life of me I don't get the appeal. I found some of his actions cruel, but that's part of the lifestyle. I wished he was a bit softer, but then he wouldn't be true to his real self. And there wouldn't be a story. We knew he was crazy in love with her, and had been since he first met her. He made a vow to keep his distance because he was afraid she would never accept his lifestyle. She amazed me by her willingness to trust him. Even though he was a badass he was putty in her hands. She made him the best he could be. She was perfect for him in every way that counted. Tiffany, I'm bowled over with your writing and your stories. This particular series totally enthralled me. You have become one of my favorite authors in this genre. I love the BWWM stories. Keep up good work. Thank you 😊

It took a week for me to finish this, so that should tell you something right there.
First off, I can take the whole bondage thing, but it has to be exciting. I feel like that's the basic requirement, and both of these characters failed at that for me. Jeremy is possibly the least charismatic romance novel hero I've ever read.
He gets most worked up over killing paedophiles; he'd be right at home in a novel about an unhinged but potentially justified vigilante. Tasha on the other hand is an abuse survivor, and you would think at first that with a background that went that dark, she'd be a really intricate character. How it plays out though, is that she's already more or less recovered and is basically just a regular, ole weepy, submissive, children's author with a little bit of a self-esteem problem. Much like an Anastasia Steele...
There's no real urgency to the plot. Very little if any conflict and very much in the way of just being a wanton wish-fulfillment story.
Dom knows Sub.
Sub submits to Dom.
Dom and Sub are henceforth ridiculously happy.
Dom Jeremy gets to kill some paedophiles, but otherwise is largely unchanged over the course of the story, and Tasha, with her amateur, "I'm going to rescue this child all on my lonesome in a rough neighbourhood even though I have no self-defense skills because that will surely end well for all involved," social worker self is still the girl on her knees. No real character arc for either of them...

Disappointing (contains spoilers)
After meeting Jeremy in the previous book, I had high hopes for his story. Unfortunately this story was both predictable and boring.
We mainly got to see one facet of Jeremy, the Dom. Far too one dimensional, considering how dangerous and interesting he was in the first book. There weren’t even a few scenes with him with Liam who is supposed to be his best friend.
As for Tasha, she was really boring and unaware of her surroundings, which is in direct opposition of how she had to grow up. Her not searching for Coral as soon as her mother disappeared when she was a child was unfortunate, however she was a child so it’s understandable. However, her behavior with the whole Trudy situation made no sense whatsoever. She had doubts for a while and although her sister has access to a whole security team, she doesn’t make sure someone keeps an eye on Trudy? Worse, she gets a desperate phone call but doesn’t take a minute to alert security to go rescue Trudy?
Lastly what really annoyed me with the book was the situation with Jeremy‘s mother. The usual trope of forgiveness for a vindictive and abusive parent is frustrating and over written. It felt like Tasha was projecting her own feelings about her mother rather than Jeremy’s given what we know of him. Showing his mother mercy by paying for an hospice is one thing, however the whole staying in his house and personally taking care of her was just too much of misplaced guilt.

I have thoughts
I really need someone to explain to me black women romance authors' obsession with traumatic upbringing of their heroines. Do you think it's believable that a woman who was pimped out as a child, ran away to live on the streets & was later arrested would go ALONE AND WITHOUT A WEAPON to save a little girl from predators? How did Tasha survive all she's been through with ZERO street smarts? You all insist on the cps horror stories for your characters, yet they are dumb as a doorknob as fully grown adults. If you're going to introduce serious subject matter like abuse, maybe give the survivors some sense, courage & respect. I gotta say, it's really patronizing to readers to create these scenarios SOLELY to make the man an even bigger hero. Do yall understand that Jeremy made Tasha be able to write again, make her feel like she's actually attractive, gave her first orgasm, made her finally show up publicly as a writer & saved her from being killed....all she did was get him to talk to his dying mother. I'm sorry that's pathetic. There's nothing believable or aspirational about getting your ENTIRE self-confidence through a man.

Do you think it's believable that a woman who was pimped out as a child, ran away to live on the streets & was later arrested would go ALONE AND WITHOUT A WEAPON to save a little girl from predators? How did Tasha survive all she's been through with ZERO street smarts? You all insist on the cps horror stories for your characters, yet they are dumb as a doorknob as fully grown adults. If you're going to introduce serious subject matter like abuse, maybe give the survivors some sense, courage & respect. I gotta say, it's really patronizing to readers to create these scenarios SOLELY to make the man an even bigger hero. Do yall understand that Jeremy made Tasha be able to write again, make her feel like she's actually attractive, gave her first orgasm, made her finally show up publicly as a writer & saved her from being killed....all she did was get him to talk to his dying mother. I'm sorry that's pathetic. There's nothing believable or aspirational about getting your ENTIRE self-confidence through a man.

This story had many elements that resembled "50 Shades of Grey". I didn't find much different from what Christian and Anastasia explored than what Jeremy and Tasha did in the BDSM scene. I wished the author would have explored "The Life" more since it was said to help Tasha with her writing.
I enjoyed the passion between Tasha and Jeremy. Like Christian, Jeremy had a rough childhood and was saved. Unlike Anastasia, Tasha also had demons in her past that she was ashamed of. I wish the author would have picked one or the other main character to have a troubled past but not both. I understand wanting them to have some things in common but it was pushing it to me.
Overall, I enjoyed reading the story. I would recommend it to my friends to read. I love Tiffany Patterson's writing style and will continue to read her works. I look forward to reading more from her.

Right off I knew from the descriptor I would not like the whole BDSM...whips & chains nastiness. But since I was introduced to Jeremy & Tasha in This Is Where I Sleep I wanted to learn about their backstories.
That part is touching as these two broken people recognize a common bond & need that they can only fulfill in each other.
Their stories are achingly realistic stirring up haunting memories. It's probably why I don't get that lifestyle. I can't separate it from common abuse. It's just dressed up with different names.
But in "My Storm" old wounds are scabbed over. There are reckonings and redemption and a slightly nauseating love story that works for our Hero & Heroine.

I knew I would love Jeremy!
This was steamy, much more steamy than Coral and Liam. While there story was more emotional, this one was definitely hotter.
There were moments when it felt like the pace was off. As if Tiffany was moving the story faster than needed, like I was ready assumptions she wanted us to have and not what was actually happening. Overall, those brief moments didn’t take away from the story.
I adored the balance of Tasha being nerdy, a professional, curvy, and just regular. And how all of those qualities endured him to her.
There was some deep things addressed, but it was all handled quite well and made the entire story more. I really enjoyed this.
So now… where’s Nat’s story?!

The story is so beautiful, and it's great how they started and it easily stole my heart. A powerful combination of excitement and heartfelt love.It will fuel your romance. I thought both of these characters were amazing and together they are perfection. Their feelings are awesome and a worthy love. Once the drama is added in with tons of emotions and some intriguing twists and you have a tale that so readable that its truly delightful and heartwarming, with such a huggable hero.This story is fast paced and exciting to read that it gave me all the feelings of love. So this was my first book in this series. I was able to follow along with the storyline and all the characters that were introduced in earlier books with no problem. This story does contain elements of child abuse and sexual abuse, which helps make this more than a basic romance novel. Important issues are highlighted in the novel. Tasha and Jeremy have troubled pasts that caused them to be reluctant to get into a relationship. Not entirely sure why, but in spite of their pasts or maybe because of it, they enter into a BDSM relationship. What I like is that real feelings are displayed between the characters, not just a physical attraction. But sometimes, the intentions of Jeremy in sexual situations left me a bit confused. He could be inexplicably harsh, which made Tasha seem like a victim, at times, instead of an equal partner in the relationship. I did appreciate the side stories of Jeremy dealing with the re-appearance of his mother who abandoned him as well as Tasha dealing with a young child that was suffering from abuse. This added some emotion and suspense to the story, which gave it more balance for me as a reader.
I liked the book so much that I found the stories of the other side characters Coral and Stacy. I definitely recommend the book. A bit different from other Tiffany Patterson books I've read. So, you may want to read Black Butterfly or This is Where I Sleep first to get more background before reading My Storm but you won't be lost if you don't.

Tiffany has become one of my go to authors. Although there were some mistakes, for instance Liam bought Coral a BMW when she graduated in her and Liam's story. In this one it was a Mercedes. I didn't fall in love with Jeremy and Tasha. They're chemistry just wasn't as strong as Coral and Liam. Hell,Stacy and Andre had more of a connection than the main characters. I was ecstatic by Liam and Coral making an appearance even the senator from This is where I sleep. It was an okay read that was a bit slow for me.

Good read
I knew this would be good. I haven't read a Tiffany Patterson book that wasn't. While I loved the book, I only gave 4 stars because I felt like something was missing. I don't know what that something is/was. I hate that I can't elaborate on it. Maybe it was that she a little too meek or that he never seemed to let go of his Dom ways. Or that the ending seemed a little rushed. Not sure but what I do know is that she wrote the story to make the characters mesh well together. It worked just like all the others. Good one!

My Storm!!
Another great Tiffany Patterson novel. This book takes readers on a journey that cause them to experience several emotions. The chemistry and heat between Tasha and Jeremy is electrifying. These two know how to burn up some sheets. But the way that were able to mend the brokenness of each other's past was wonderful. It was great catching a glimpse of a couple of the previous characters. The blending of the couple's was subtle and added another layer of knowledge to Tasha and Jeremy. Can't wait to see what's next from this amazing author.

Great storyline...Tasha and Jeremy got their book and I love it. They both have baggage but that pulls them closer. This story is truly hot and dark. Coral and Liam are in this one as well as characters from previous books. Coral has always been Tasha's savior and protector but in this one, that's Jeremy's job...And he takes it serious, as Tasha finds out over and over again. Jeremy puts the A in Alpha... Hard to finish
I love this author but this book was not it for me…hunty with all the shit Tasha went thru with family then end up with a man that doesn’t let her experience bliss on days he doesn’t want to is just messed up especially when left by herself in the bedroom…chile please..the woman should never experience those feelings from the man that’s supposedly falling for her. Punish…ok…but that ish was plain b.s. BDSM love is pushing boundaries but making sure both are alright after…just my opinion, mind you..

Second Time Even Better
I forgot to leave a review the first time so I’m leaving one now in 4/2025. I love all of Tiffany Patterson books. I was going to read over the first Townsend book, when I picked up, My Storm instead. I’m glad I did I enjoyed reading Tasha & Jeremy story. The beginning had me almost weeping again, and the end, Jeremy BDSM has you breathing heavy as well. Now if I go back for 3rd time to read this story, I’m going to make sure I have a partner to share in some of my feelings so I don’t get frustrated from no release.
