I liked that this volume focused more closely on Coco and Agott's friendship and creative practice! I like when this story is about the witch students! I don't love that it continues introducing 3-6 new characters in every volume. Also, this one felt like it was 1 chapter shorter than the normal size for this series.
PODCAST is here :) Magician's Festival, Silver Night Festival. In the finale, the Silver Night Parade, the magicians perform their magic in front of the king and the people. As the Silver Night Parade, in which the salvation of Dagda and Custus is at stake, approaches, Coco falls into a slump from impatience. The person who reached out to Coco was Agathe, a rival who was also aiming for the Silver Night Parade. The two manage to complete their magic and pass the screening, but will they be successful on their first big stage performance? I want to save you. Put your sincere feelings into magic ___.
Ahh, finally proper actions and nice plot twists... plus some good displays of backgrounds for some characters and their inner drivers for actions. Nicely progressing and developing. 4 happy merrfin-kitties
First sentence: Your magic fully blooms in the light. Last sentence: You ignorant fools Goodreads Challenge 2024: 12. book
I really thought that Coco's drawing abilities were going to be taken away, but it turned out to be just an artist block. Besides Agott and Coco, a lot of the other characters didn't have character development or didn't show up. I felt like besides action and the character growth Agott had, a lot didn't happen in comparison to the other books. I wasn't into the plot of this book, but I'm still eager to see what will happen in book 12.

As is generally the case with both manga instalments and sequels in general, there isn't much to say that would be spoilers or a repeat of former reviews.
I love each and every volume in this series. It is a story that is cozy while also captivating, fitting for children, yet also quite mature in theme and philosophy. This is such a feel-good series for me, filled with lovely and very deep characters, beautiful artwork, intricate worldbuilding, and engaging plot lines. Truly perfection. I only wished these were published more frequently, having to wait a year for each new volume. But it's worth it, and all the more special each time there is a new volume.
4,5 ⭐️ this volume focused a lot more on coco and agott their friendship and i’m totally here for it!!! agott has grown so much as a character and i’m so interested in more of her family history.
this was so much fun to read in between all the conflicts and chaos that is going on in this world! what an ending as well. what now???
i loved the bonus chapter! a bit more lightheartedness besides the growing tension.
Everyone is ever so supportive of everyone else as a big day of product demonstrations in front of the king at a city festival brings lots of stress and doubts.
A little sappy, but, as always, the art carries the day.
Oh boy, I was not expecting this installment to make me cry. But the way it focuses on Coco and Agott, but particularly Agott’s internal experience, and the way it portrays the art of creation — it really got me. (Also, my love for Qifrey and Olly continues to grow.)
As usual for this series, beautifully drawn and written, with a fantastic mix of lightheartedness and darkness looming. I already can't wait for the next one❤️
This volume had a slight slow start for me at first, but when the story took off and the characters started doing their things, it blossomed into something really lovely.
I love Ollie's moodiness. This volume featured him, and how he addresses his moods. We also got a beautiful character arc for Aggot and Coco. When things seem impossible, their friendship becomes deeper and more authentic. These characters are dealing with how to use magic to help others, but the pressure is becoming unbearable alone. In this volume, these featured characters use magic to help themselves. It's about making art for no other purpose than just to create.
The over-arching story that continues to be explored is about the ethics of magic and how it should and should not be used; especially whether or not it makes sense in medicine. But magic is medicine and medicine is magic, so each character is confronting the blurred lines in their ways, and it's just so sweet.
