Bravo: The Ian Ridgefield Story

Rate this book
Ian Ridgefield's shoulders are broad and can handle the load put on them.

With his body finally healed after his death inside the smoke-filled Pentagon, where he saved many from certain death and then said his final goodbye to his mother, Ian is ready to take on more. With his engagement to the woman of his dreams and his first child on the way, Ian can still take on more. And when one of the richest men in the world agrees to bankroll his operation to uncover who is behind the attacks on military buildings within the United States, Ian can still take on more.

When a man has a reason to take on more, he can and will. When a man who has been trained by the best of the best and has been at the tip of the spear, there is no weight too burdensome to bear. Now, the time has come for a reckoning to begin. Ian Ridgefield is putting the puzzle pieces together and working through the underworld of deceit and corruption.

Those in powerful positions that are being revealed do not take being brought to light kindly. In fact, they have their own protection that is just as willing to ensure Ian, and his team, never let the proverbial cat out of the bag - by any means necessary. Thankfully, Ian has been able to pull together a team of men and women that can stand up to anything thrown at them.

Follow along in the second book of The Military Might Bravo, where you will see great men rise and fall to the challenge of exposing evil, protecting their country while being pulled in every conceivable direction by the beautiful women they love.

This is not a stand alone book.

An avid reader and lifelong learner, I was intrigued when offered the opportunity to co-author books with award-winning and New York Times best-selling author Melody Anne (www.melodyanne.com). After she heard my numerous book ideas and own storytelling, she knew I was well on my way to becoming a highly acclaimed author.

In the fall of 2020, my first co-authored release, Shadows, hit the world, and the reaction to it not only surpassed my hopes, it took off and hasn't slowed down. Within the next six months, four more books were published, and the reviews prove that readers love each and every story I've helped bring to them.

I appreciate the perspective of most on this earth. We all have our joys and sorrows, our highs and lows and triumphs and struggles. The stories we have are so unique and so similar we should be glad to share them with each other and find how much we have in common.

If you would like to share those stories, to hear the stories of others, to receive updates on what I'm working on, or books I'm involved with, please sign up with an active email address on my website and we will share this journey of life together.

You never know - we may end up writing books together. Don't think it's possible? I said the same thing. So did Author Roger L. Osborne when he asked me to help him create his story, yet we just finished our first book, together, August 2021. Where life leads us is unknown, so let's all take some of those steps together.

Bravo is book 2 in the Military Might Series, a continuation of book 1. Ian forms the Shadow Group with the backing of Samuel Williams, his wife’s father. There is a lot of mystery, bad guys trying to be bad and stay hidden and the group coming together to find out who is blowing up military bases and in this story an elementary school on a base is attacked. The guys have their hands full trying to get to the bottom of this evil.

I enjoyed this story as the plot is well written, flows easily and I already love the characters as most from book 1 are back. The reader gets to meet the good guys from the now formed Shadow Group who are going to be the heroes once this evil comes to light. Note this book ends in a cliffhanger so book 3 will be a continuation of this story line. I am definitely looking forward to more of this story in the next book!

loving this Mission

John Henley. Is making this series so entertaining. When I first started reading it. It took me a few chapters to understand where this is going. Now he’s making you think where this Military Ops is going. The character blend in well together and it’s fun reading something different. The shadow Group is out to fine out who is behind the explosion on military base. A special team with ex military men form a group called The Shadow Group. Enjoy their journey as they go digging to find the source.
Love this series and highly recommend this read..

Bravo is the next installment of the Military Might series. Ian's Shadow Group continues to follow leads into the explosions happening at the military installations. As the clues are unraveled, there are still more questions, than answers. Each member brings their own area of expertise to the group, making this a very interesting read.

I really enjoyed this book and loved how we’re kept on edge. Ian is setting up his military group called Shadow group. Loved how we stay on edge. Loved getting more on his relationship with Steph. I do wish we got more romance, was hoping Neil got a romance. I loved Steph’s family. These books should be read in order and I can’t wait for the next one. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I recommend this book.

Book Review – Bravo – John Henley
Fast read author John Henley’s Book 2, “Bravo,” in the Military Might Series and continue to like where this series is going. The Ian Ridgefield character and story is different and pleasing. Henley emphasis on Ridgefield’s relationships in an action thriller is refreshing and stimulating. I like The Shadow Group – an elite team of former special ops operators that get things done. Their mission to find who was behind the attacks on military buildings was grippingly told. Readers should keep in mind that this is not a standalone quick read – 236 pages. I recommend reading Book 1, “Alpha,” which cliff hangered into Bravo, and Bravo cliffhangers into Book 3, “Charlie.” So far, the first two books have good military action, some apprehensive suspense, and sufficient romance. The characters are adequately developed, and the plot and storyline are authentic and real. The cliffhangers at the end of the books give credence to reading the next book in the series. I will read and review Charlie sooner than later.

bravo 2

Though the story is quite long, it is very good. Ian’s team is allot together, they get to work on trying to figure out, who is targeting the military bases. They have gotten closer but not without a few close calls. They believe they have found the source to lead to these military bases issues but now these people are possibly killing news reporters. So the mission get MIchael Cassidy, is he the man behind it all? Or just a source?
