Cori Lynch spent the last decade raising her children and is ready to return to the workforce; working as a massage therapist is the perfect fit for her schedule and her desire to help people. Cori knows she can make a difference improving her client’s well-being by using her skilled hands.
Cori quickly learns that many of her coworkers are using their talents for much more than working out kinks and treating sore, strained muscles. Cori’s shock turns to curiosity and then to temptation as she peppers her new work friend Mayde with questions.
Cori’s husband Dylan was already enduring happy ending jokes from his best friend Baines when Cori became a massage therapist, putting the possibility of “extras” front of mind even before his wife shared the news of her coworkers’ special services. It’s not something Cori would ever do, of course, but the revelation propels Dylan’s mind to consider outlandish and forbidden fantasies.
Magic Hands is the story of a couple tempted to explore dark possibilities and suppressed desires. Can a typical suburban couple resist such temptations? Can their marriage survive if they give in?
Kirsten McCurran lives in the suburbs with her husband, young children and a dog named Jake. She lives out her vivid fantasy life through her writing. Kirsten is most interested in exploring the fantasies and inner sexual lives of women like her.
Book 1 introduces us to Cori, Dylan, Mayde and Baines. Cori and Dylan have been together for 24 yrs. Cori has just gotten her massage therapist license and travels from location to location providing massages.
Best friend Baines has been ribbing Dylan about Cori providing “happy endings”. Dylan and Cori refute that until coworker Mayde and other work colleagues confirm to Cori that it’s all true for “special” clients.
Cori was a wild one before marriage and thinks the idea has a certain appeal, especially as Cori has borrowed to pay for massage therapy school and would like some fun money for kids tuition and holidays.
This book is 140 beautifully written pages setting the scene for Cori, with Dylan’s agreement, to add a little zing to her massages. If you appreciate good character development, and a solid foundation for a couple to work through this together, you’re not going to find a better setup for the characters to move forward. And if you think you’ll be bored because there isn’t enough action, you’d be wrong. Cori ensures there’s never a dull moment.
I’ve pre-ordered Book 2 due on May 17. Looking forward to reading it.
And if you don’t believe me about Book 1, read Johnny’s excellent review.
This book is for readers like me. Readers that find the growing intensity from idea to the realization the best part of a hotwife or cuckold story. It captures that heat throughout the book and promises to pay it off in the upcoming second and third books.
Kirsten has done an excellent job establishing the characters, relationships and motivations. Be patient through the first few chapters and you will be rewarded.
I believe Magic Hands: Book One is as good as any of her previous stories and only a third has been released.
Do not feel anxious that the story will be abandoned. Kirsten replied to my email that it has all been written and will be releasing within the next month or two.
Ten years into being a happily wedded wife and mother, events send Cori Lynch back into the world as a massage therapist. While she works for a company working hard to protect its reputation as a legitimate service, she learns that her work mates are open to a wider number of services than are on the company menu. In sharing this shocking and unexpected news with her husband, the lovely and loyal wife learns that her husband is more than a little intrigued by the possibilities of this method to further improve their household income and bedroom fantasies.
Across the pages she is shown the way to servicing her and selected client’s libidos, with every step avidly encourage by husband Dylan. For some reason they both tolerated their long time friend Baines. A man of zero discretion or tact.
For some reason the field of erotica id over filled with themed series. Magic hands is a case in point. Book one is mostly an origins book. Future volumes will begin with our happy couple adjusted to her expanding personal services and with several likely customers at the ready to fulfill their shared interest in for profit sharing. Author Kirstan Mc Curran does a hot job balancing he first time hot wife jitters, with hot wife action.
Book 1 of 3 Introduces and invests us in mid-40’s couple Cori and Dylan.
Having been a stay-at-home mom Cori returns to work, but not to her old corporate job, she qualifies as a massage therapist.
Dylan’s best friend ribs him about his wife’s new career, but he and Cori are both under the impression that small company she has joined is ultra-professional and nothing like some of the sleazy operations that offer additional services.
Gradually it becomes clear that what the therapists do is their own business, if it is discreet and unspoken.
Dylan and Cori have to decide how to ‘handle’ the situation and their feelings are not as straight forward as they may have first thought.
Sure hotwife, cuckold…we all know them. But this story is told with an unusual presentation. We know about Happy Endings, but how often do you read about the woman and how she gets started?
That’s the premise behind this story. Book One is just the somewhat torturous beginning of a married woman starting in a “legitimate” massage therapy practice.
How does she get into the “others” that some feel are part of a massage. What’s up with her husband?
The story is nice, but I always find some things difficult with the author’s writing. Sometimes I feel that the story is progressing at a snail’s pace and I want to jump forward. Second and more important to me is the lengths of some of her paragraphs. I read a lot on my phone and the paragraphs can be 2 or 3 pages long. To me it’s hard to keep my mind fixated through those places.
But that doesn’t stop me from reading and needing to see what happens. If you like the genre, or are just curious about it, you should enjoy this book.
Interesting character building, this is the slowest and most involved story yet by K.Mccan. looking forward to the next book that ties it all together. Does Cori become a hotwife or something else more sinister. ????
