It took me awhile to get through this book, it just didn’t hold my interest. The blurb caught my attention but what I read was a completely different story. It was a little over the top….in a bad way.
Ferran is a porn star for a BDSM membership site and she’s gotten good at pretending to be scared and making herself wet so the members pay up. One day a mystery guy shows up on her set and distracts her to the point she can’t perform and he turns her on just by looking at him. That night she decides to masturbate while thinking of him and she’s kidnapped mid stroke and tied up and sold to someone who is suppose to “train” her in all the things she is supposedly already good at faking.
It took me almost 3 weeks to get through this book. It just didn’t hold my interest. I love trafficking books and this one just totally misses the mark.
This was a new author to me and I probably won’t pick her up again.

As kidnap, enemy to lovers tales go, this was an enjoyable and steamy read.
Mayer and Ferren were likable if motivatedly confusing leads.
The majority of the plot revolved around the scenes Mayer puts Ferren through for his employer after she was taken and sold at auction as confused romantic feelings develop between them.
The steamy scenes were appropriately explicit though not Vonna at her descriptive best (that position is still held by Danger's Game) but enjoyable and kink (mainly bondage) infused.
It did have a central villain which allowed Mayer to sidestep the role and made his and Ferren's position more relatable and believable (if there is such a thing).
Overall its enjoyable read if you are in the market for some grounded light steamy kidnap/bondage romance.

I enjoyed this steamy romance story. This is a new author for me which I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. This is a well written story a porn star who is in demand and thinks she has it all. That is until now, she is drugged and taken into a dark, frightening world. What happens next you will need to read. You dont want to miss this one. This is a fast paced, engaging story that is hard to put down. The characters pull you into the story and give life to the story. They truly made the story for me. I really enjoyed reading this story and I highly recommend it.

OH MY GOODNESS - this is a great book! Very descriptive, very interesting, great concept - not like other books I have read. Ferren's life seems to be "together" then Mayer and Phillip change everything. This book as it all, along with lots of hot, there is suspense, drama, communication and understanding. Great book.

Looking for some more material to review for this kinky Dungeon Book Review site, I spied upon Ms. Harper's newest release. Having read her books before, I knew what I was getting into with this tale. For those who like it dark and non-con, this book may be for you. The story starts out different and catches my attention as our female protagonist, Ferren, is a fetish sex actress. Or otherwise known as a BDSM Porn Star. This kind of reminds me of the now gone Kink.com company. I found their material to be of excellent quality. Watching a documentary on the company was also quite enlightening. Thinking that this story may follow along that lines, I'm humming happily (no vibrators were involved).
