Two years ago, a split-second decision changed everything. I risked my life for a man I didn’t even know and nearly died for it.
I’ve tried to forget him. To forget that whole night.
But he hasn’t forgotten me. He’s been watching. Obsessing. Craving.
And when he crashes back into my life like a wrecking ball, accompanied by two dark shadows—men he calls his brothers—the life I’ve been trying to rebuild for myself shatters into a thousand sharp-edged pieces.
He believes our souls are bound by blood, and he’s come back to claim what’s his.
Two years ago, I saved Marcus Constantine’s life.
Now I wish I hadn’t.

Callie Rose is a bestselling author who loves to write books that will grab you by the feels and not let go till the very last page. She loves twisty plots, tortured bad boys, strong FMCs, and redemption stories where that shit is *earned*.
Sweet Obsession Nothing like a little obsession to put some pep in a girls step (when it’s wanted of course). Then again it’s really the least she deserves after putting her life on the line for a handsome stranger. While struggling to get by heroine Ayla realizes that day two years ago still haunts her in the form of three dangerous men who just keep turning up. Ayla is very very brave though I would argue at times she’s a bit dumb too. She doesn’t think everything through but I think a lot of that has to do with her being unaware until the end what kind of world she’s now been dragged into. Sweet Retribution The cats out of the bag now and Ayla finally learns the truth about who Marcus is and why simply knowing him puts her in danger. The action definitely picks up in this book with a portion literally spent dodging bullets. Worse is not knowing the fate of characters throughout the story. Now at least for the final book we have an enemy to overcome. Somehow though I think Ayla being a foster kid with no recollection of her parents will play a role in the outcome, I’m not sure how but guess I’m just used to this trope all the time. Also Ayla still has a missing brother out in the world and I’m really hoping she finds him alive and well, hopefully not living a life of crime or dead. Sweet Salvation I had no idea what to expect from this trilogy but I really enjoyed it. Ayla has really grown as a character and by the end doesn’t even know her own kill count, she fits right in 🤪 The guys are all obsessed with her even if it takes Noah and Ryland a few to catch up, she didn’t save their lives after all. The ending was great, a whole lotta action and a great epilogue. Good to see them in the future and especially the bond with her brother developing throughout the years, though his identity did kinda throw me. Wonderful audio to listen to and if you’re looking for a borderline dark read this is a good set to try out.
Solid no from me. I can’t stand when authors add in OW drama just for the sake of it. I loved book one but I won’t be continuing due to how sensitive I am to OW drama. The first half of this book we are led to believe that Marcus is dead. Turns out, he was actually holed up with a woman named Victoria who he promised to marry in return for her saving his life. Apparently this storyline fizzles out in book 3 so again… what was the point 🙄
Marcus is just so stupid and selfish. Why would he just show up to an event with Victoria without ever contacting his friends or Ayla? Did he not care how worried they were? Why does he honor his engagement to Victoria, and spend so much time looking for a loophole when he could just walk away from it?!?!
I think the point was to have Marcus out of the picture so Ayla’s relationship with the other two men could shine. However, with rh books you should be able to make them all shine together or it really wasn’t meant to be an rh novel. I feel like Callie did a wayyy better job of integrating the harem in her ruthless hearts series.
PS:
I did read her other series about the Reapers. It has one small OW scene with one MMC and a random girl but this is before he gets intimate with the FMC so I can handle this. Ayla and her men show up on and off in this series (especially book 3). I feel like the Reapers just had a love and sexual chemistry for each other that completely outshines what I felt for Ayla and her men.

Pretty good series, it kept me entertained from start to finish. It's an interesting story, not something that has been written 200 times with different names. There were a few twists and turns along the way that I wasn't expecting. Narration was good as well.
I found this book on TikTok and it looked interesting, so I used my KU and read it. First this is the complete series here, there is the option to go with book by book BUT I recommend getting the series. In the first book you meet the main players, Marcus, Theo, Ryland, and Ayla. Each character is beautifully written as well as the start of the plot. There is some dark content and lots of heat. Book two is the main part of the story line and gives twist and suspense going deeper into the main character as well as introducing other characters that play important parts in the storyline. Book 3 brings everything to a head and everything explodes all secrets are revealed and questions are answered. This book was a good read, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a little darker read with three possessive alpha males and the female that turns into a bada$$ herself. The only thing I wanted more of was the heat factor.
This is made up of the 3 books for this series. I loved these!!! 5/5 for plot and 4/5 for spice. The plot was excellent. Kept me on the edge of my seat most of the time. Loved the plot twists that were thrown in.
This book was good, and as a dark romance lover ticked many boxes. However I feel at some points the plot moved too quickly and was unrealistic. Yes I know, I’m reading dark romance where realistic expectations are left at the door😂 except with the way the trauma is faced, as someone whose faced trauma and knows many many others I find the reaction Ayla has with Theo …. A bit too fast. For how badly she reacted it just doesn’t make sense. Then there’s the arm. If she only had nerve damage in her arm then why would doctors cut it off. Unless it’s going to cause the person pain, then that’s the last resort. Losing a limb is the last resort in most cases. It’s mentioned multiple times that it was just that she lost the use of the limb, so why was it removed? If there was more to it than that, then it needs a mention. I feel like it’s a very very good book but it moves very very fast. I’m not one for slow burn, but she gets into a relationship with Marcus so quickly it just gives me Stockholm syndrome vibes. They barely argue or even flesh out that she was stalked for ages. There should have been more to it than that. It’s a good book if you need something to pass the time with but sadly I think it misses the mark on a few pointers.

I'll start off by saying I needed to fill a prompt for a book challenge (book title with the word game in it). For the prompt, I found that others had read this book and because the title and cover seemed interesting, I went for it!
If I had read the summary, the genres it's filed under, or knew firsthand the smut level of this, I never would have picked it up. I also have this problem where if I start a novel, I will more than likely finish it. I don't like leaving books as DNF.
With that being said...
If you take out the smut, it was interesting! It reminded me of Hunger Games, a *smidgen*, in that the characters are in a game of survival with other big shots in the city.
The overall writing is just okay. Obviously, now that I've read it, this book is for those who want a little bit of plot with a lot of spice. And that's fine. That's just not for me, lol.
The pacing is good, although I found myself skipping past the spicy scenes.
Have read this series So many times! It's one of my go to when in a book slump.
Here we meet Marcus, Ryland and Theo 😍 these three have spent over two years basically stalking our fierce, strong Ayra, since she saved Marcus from being shot...
They tumble into her life and no matter how hard she fights, she becomes just as obsessed with them as they are with her. She soon learns of their secret and sets out to help them. Life becomes dangerous and she is pushed to get limit....
The steam builds as you go on, the obsession continues and her men are loyal... No cheating, No m/m Just a classic alphas and their woman who they are soft for!
Purchased on a recommendation from booktok. Interesting premise: young woman saves hero's life. He is haunted by the expression she had when she saved him and has remained in the shadows while keeping watch over her. He's forced to reveal himself when she needs rescuing. But then it turns into some combination of reverse harem/hunger games/mafia alpha male/spicy romance which is just was not my thing at all. I skipped large portions to follow the plot, but never got invested in the characters.
ummm just a fair warning before you start this book is reverse harem. I definitely did not know thaaaat and was definitely shocked when two more guys appeared. didn't like that but finished the book just to know how it ends if I'm being honest.
A split second decision changed Ayla's life forever, and two and a half years later, she's made the most of a bad situation.
However, one night, she's accosted, and three men come to her aid, then disappear into the night.
For Ayla, it doesn't end there. She comes face to face with Marcus, Theo, and Ryland.
Marcus has an obsession with her and will claim her whicheverwayhe can. Theo and Ryland will do anything to protect their friend. There dislike for her evident.
But Marcus won't let her go that easily, because when Ayla learns the heartbreaking truth of how her injuries came to be, she's angry and furious, intertwined in a ruthless game with no way out.
Because when Marcus becomes a victim in the machinations of this game does Ayla's relationship with Theo and Rylan begin to form and change.
Ayla carries so much rage and anger that is where Theo and Rylan step in to help her chanel and focus, honing her skills.
When Marcus steps back into the fray, the stakes are higher than ever, and an uneasy alliance is formed with Victoria. They have no choice but to see where this path leads them.
That path leads to Ayla coming face to face with her former foster father, the man who took her virtue, something he had no right to, and the nightmares that proceeded, she didn't let break her.
And when she shares her deepest darkest secret with Marcus, Theo, and Rylan, they don't look at her pitty, they look at her with strength. Ayla made peace, thinking she would never have to confront her pain. However, with her guys by her side, does she face it head on, breaking free of the past.
But things are not adding up. The way Luca has played this ruthless game, and when Ayla piece it together, drawing on the conclusion that Luca and the mysterious Viper are both one and the same, do they realise they are out of there depths.
To one up Luca, they up the antenna by procuring information that will aid in his downfall, however bloodshed ensues when Luca releases Marcus, Theo, and Rylan from the game, the other contenders have them in their sights. They know this is not going to be a fair fight.
But what shocks Ayla the most is when Dominic accuses them of orchestrating his downfall in the game, usurping him when it is discovered that he was adopted, changing the dynamics completely. This revelation stirs something deep inside Ayla, and when she begins to connect bits and pieces does she receive the biggest shock of all, Dominic is her long-lost brother Caleb.
Ayla, Marcus, Theo and Rylan for an unlikely alliance with Victoria and Dominic where they formulate a plan to force Luca's hand, it goes to plan to a degree all hell breaks loose, and Ayla makes a choice that stops the entirety of this game once and for all.
They all come to a mutual understanding, agreeing to divide the territory equally, respecting the others' boundaries. With Ayla by their side, they have more than they could have ever asked for.
They fought hard for their happily ever after, and it was one they all deserved and more.
Those smexy scenes were hot, dirty, filthy, steamy, and spicy, sinfully wicked because the pleasure and pain that Ayla felt was nothing compared to what each of them made Ayla feel, and she them. Because to them she is there Rose, a Vicious Angel in disguise. There love for each other knows no bounds and they will protect ever fibre of that love with their lives.
This book has been on my TBR for along time and I’m super happy I finally got to it! This version has all 3 books in it!
This is about Marcus, Theo, Ryland and Ayla.
Ayla is at a club one night and notices a guy that has amazing eyes. One is brown and the other is half blue & brown.
She goes to leave and literally saves Marcus’s life. The gun goes off 3 times…
Two and a half years go by since the incident. She feels like someone has been watching her but after walking home from work and getting mugged by a guy with a gun Marcus, Ryland and Theo show up and save her.
She has no idea who they are until she sees his eyes and then it all clicks.
Now all three men won’t leave her alone and they make their self known. They were always hiding in the shadows before but Marcus is completely obsessed with her.
He wants to know why she did what she did to save him. He doesn’t understand it.
She gets sick of his crap and goes to confront him but it doesn’t go as she planned😜
Marcus and Theo show their feelings right away but Rylan acts like he wants nothing to do with her at first. He’s fighting his feelings for her because he doesn’t want her to be dragged into the crazy power game that is going on.
You get taken on a crazy journey with these 4.
Lots of craziness happens. More people get hurt, she gets kidnapped, they think Marcus is dead, they end up finding her brother and take down Luca….
It’s a crazy ride but insanely good.
I love all 3 boys the same. They are all different and they all fit together perfectly. I love how sweet they all are. I love how hard they all fall/love her. I love that Marcus calls her angel. I love that Theo calls her Rose. I love that they want to take care of her and give her everything she never had. They all have dirty mouths😮💨
The series where enemies are friends, curses are blessings, and bullets come in threes.
It pretty much starts with three bullets.
Ayla, a young woman who grew up in the foster system, was out one night with some people from school. She went out back to catch a breath of fresh air and to bail when she saw three guys she saw inside the club a few minutes prior. Right before she decided to turn around and walk the other way, she saw a vehicle coming down the road and pointing a gun at one of the guys. Without much thought, she jumped in front of him, taking the three bullets meant for him. She didn't see the guys again after blacking out, but she nearly lost her life and lost a limb. What she didn't realize was she also gained three stalkers.
Years pass, and she sees them again. Then she sees them more and more. The men who ended up stalking her decided not to bother hiding anymore. They didn't listen to her when she demanded for them to go away, and she grew attached to them. Being close to them had consequences, however, and she got pulled into a whole world she didn't know existed.
"Ruthless Games" is almost similar to "Hunger Games" in a way. The difference is that it's a competition where the players come from wealthy families, the parents signed most of them up, and the prize is to be the new ruler of the city. It also reminded me of "The Purge." The only time the players can take the others out is during specific 72-hour periods decided by the current kingpin of the city, Luca.
Ayla's three stalkers (Marcus, Theo, and Ryland) are all players in this "game," but they're brothers in everything but blood, so they stay together as a team. As the book goes on, we learn about twists that change the way the "game" is played. People who they swore were enemies, end up becoming allies.
It's a pretty interesting read. Early on, I think I caught a small discrepancy or two, but it was nothing that affected the story.
I've been in a reverse harem binge lately and I can say that most of the other books I've read haven't held much substance in terms of plot, side characters and the main characters.
But this series delivered. The first few chapters dragged a bit but once it picked up, it didn't put down.
Ayla is realistic compared to other mafia FMCs in the sense that once she entered this world she didn't remain completely innocent or turn into a complete badass. Don't get me wrong, she is awesome, it's just she's her own brand of awesome. She is trying to get tougher but isn't automatically amazing at shooting guns and fighting people.
Some of the problems I've had with other RH stories is the other female characters. They're either a best friend who's only interested in the FMC and her love life or a jealous bitch who hates the FMC for being with their former partner.
Natalie may be a bitch but she had her reasons for doing what she did. She's trying to survive by putting her own needs above anyone else's.
Victoria's the same. She's just more pragmatic about what she wants.
I really love reading about female side characters who have some sort of personality other than being a best friend or a jealous ex.
The relationship between the FMC and the MMCs also seems more genuine (or as genuine as it can be).
At the beginning Marcus was the main love interest, but after he was kidnapped her relationship with Theo and Ryland developed until she cared for them a much as she did for Marcus.
Usually, FMC has one who she is instantly attracted to and who immediately likes her back. And then the others just fall in love with her and she with them suddenly.
Also the spice was >>>> it was great. Especially the piercing. Enough said.
The whole secret brother thing and it's discovery was wild though.

That's definitely the most complicated setup that I've come across. It was Marcus all the way for me but, hey, a girl's got to do what feels right! The premise of the "game" is so twisted & extreme given the fact that it's the parents that put forward their own children to kill or be killed. Power trumps familial devotion with these monstrous people & I wouldn't have been so easy on them.
Ayla, Marcus, Theo & Ryland make a formidable unit, dedicated to each other, without fear or favour. She's a very lucky girl! Her growth is the most pronounced throughout. I also loved that the heroine is unashamedly differently abled, going so far as to reject wearing her prosthetic most of the time & not replacing it in the latter stages. It was also refreshing to see a woman revelling in her sexuality without a hint of holding back or apology.
I loved how free the four of them were, never a hint of jealousy between three decidedly Alpha males. I highly doubt it would work in the real world but it makes for an entertaining & very sexy book. I will certainly be looking for more of this author's books.
That was the longest book ive ever read and i read it so fast. My favourite definitely has to be theo. Maybe its the dick piercing. Maybe its his laid back personality. Idk you choose. Omg the spice. Damnnnn ive never read reverse harem before but this was damn good i couldnt stop reading. Is it insane that i want my man obsessed with me as they were obsessed with ayla. Omg the angst between ryland and ayla LOVE IT. Omg and when they were explaining about the games to ayla all i can think if is hunger games. Omg and id die to see marcus’s eyes and idk maybe grind on his thighs. And when ryland said “because you cant expect me to choose between the two things i love” omfg i died and cried and squealed. “I still owe you a hundred million heartbeats” omg literally if my man said that marry him marry him rn. The dirty talk love ittttt. Theo is so fucking funny i love him

This is a why choose, stalker romance, with Mafia aspects.
Ayla the FMC is a fiercely strong character, after saving 3 strangers lives and nearly losing her own, she wakes up in hospital with half her arm missing. Living alone and working hard for everything she has, learning to adapt to her new normal, things seem fine until she discovers she has been stalked by three men, for the last two and a half years. Her stalkers.... the men she saved that fateful night. The story had lots of twists and turns, it started out really strong, but honestly, I actually found myself skipping over the sex scenes by the third book. I found them repetitive, and felt like they took the story away from the plot. They were hot, but made me feel like, it wasn't needed. The book did end well though so there's that.
YOU NEED THIS SERIES! (Charge your 🌹 before reading! 🥵)
When I tell you I was not prepared I mean I 👏🏼 WAS 👏🏼 NOT 👏🏼 PREPARED 👏🏼 This had EVERYTHING. Ayla/Rose- a strong intelligent badass female MC who doesn't let anything stop her from being her true self and getting what she wants, and the men... good god the MEN 🥵 🫠 Marcus, Theo, and Ryland- all hot sexy af each strong and independent with questionable morality that keeps you invested in their character's development while each having almost their storyline with Ayla. And the plot! I won't spoil it but the number of times I thought I knew, I had no idea. Amazing story. Found Family in more ways than one. ♥️ An excellent cast of characters. When does the movie come out? It's a must!
This was a great series. I did find myself skipping over some of the steamy scenes but that is mostly because of the bad timing. I don’t know how one finds the time to get aroused when being attacked or trying to hide out from possible attack. The relationships worked for me and I never really questioned how or why they were the way they were.
Ayla, the main female character, got on my nerves a little bit. She made some questionable decisions and couldn’t see how much of a distraction she could be at times. It was never so annoying that I wanted to stick reading or skip to the end. I devoured this series. It was a fun read that had some dark elements but wasn’t too dark.
I really enjoyed the series. The characters were well developed, the FMC, Ayla, was a fighter. I loved that she wasn’t all bitchy and whiny. The guys, Marcus, Rylan, & Theo were swoon worthy, a little crazy, but in the best ways. I did think it was a little heavy on the Ayla/Marcus time and the other guys kind of had to take a bit of a backseat, which I didn’t love. There were some pretty good twists and the action and violence felt balanced instead of feeling like they were always up against someone that totally out maneuvered and out classed them.
Overall an engaging story with a good plot, some action mixed with crazy hot stalkers and a lot of spicy encounters made for a great series.
I don’t know why I forced myself to finish this book.
Things I liked: Plot had potential. Why choose. The MFC is different from the usual MFC
Things that make me regret learning how to read: Dry Humping The constant over explaining that the MFC has an amputated arm. The extreme explanation of certain things but not explaining what any of the main characters look like. This is a why choose and they only had group time 2 times in all these books? There is one MMC apart of the group, Ryland, the writing makes him feel like an afterthought. There’s no connection and he probably could’ve been the favorite. There are random story lines for no reason.
Honestly I hated it. It has caused seasonal depression.

This story is freaking awesome!!! So hard to put down! Seriously! I loved the characters to which i got invested in n immersed myself into the story! So many twists n turns!...soooo good! Crazy hot dayyyam steamy sex scenes! Whew! 🎇🔥💥These three alpha males omg! 🔥👅😏 Panty dropping! Oh I put my imagine to great use with these men n the sex scenes! Total body sizzling! Even just kisses or sweet moments had me swooning! When I say immerse myself...I mean I dove right into the story seeing it before my eyes as it happened! It grabbed me n kept me there from beginning to end! So well written! I do wish they'd given her a ring to signify their amazing love n be pregnant with Marcus' baby or be whisked off to make one😏 Pout! My thoughts! Hello from Canada!
I picked up this book on a whim because I needed an easy read to fill the void left by some questionable male mmcs lol but I was pleasantly surprised by this book and it intrigued me enough to blow through all 3 books in 3 days. I had no idea what the plot was or any of the tropes so I was surprised at the direction it went but I didn’t hate it 🤭
I really liked the premise of this book, I think she had a really cool idea but I wanted more from the plot and more from the world. I wish she would’ve fleshed out the plot more and I would’ve traded the spice for more plot tbh. Sometimes the spice was just really oddly placed and it just didn’t flow well for me, it just felt like it was there just to be there, and maybe that was the point haha but it just wasn’t for me, it felt forced.
I love that the character has a disability, it took me by surprise but I thought it was cool to have that perspective. I enjoyed all the characters and I felt like they had decent development throughout the books.
I did get bored at times during the books and it was a bit of a slog to get to the end of the series. It just got stagnant at times and I think that could’ve been solved with some more plot/universe/character development.
This is by the same author as Quicksilver and now I understand some of the writing decisions in that series but I’m impressed she went from these kind of surface level plots to such an immersive fantasy world. I’m curious how she will develop her fantasy series as we get more quicksilver books.
To wrap it up, I think this was a fun series with a very interesting plot that had a lot of potential to be a really cool set up but the writing fell short for me. I did really enjoy the MMCs though, they know how to take care of their girl and there are no complaints there. Theo 💘
