Brain surgeons and naked maids don’t go together… Or do they?
Cleaning in the buff is an easy way to double or even triple his housekeeping earnings, but when Milo Ricci runs into trouble with a client, he doesn’t have many options on who to turn to. When one of his clients offers to give him more hours to cook for him, too, he immediately agrees.
Minor problem? Milo doesn’t know how to cook. Another minor — major — problem is that brilliant, neurodivergent Giovanni Duval has no idea what to actually do with a naked maid in his house.
Between Milo’s fruitless attempts at seduction and Giovanni’s asexuality, it seems like a disaster in the making. But maybe a few toys and a cute little bunny tail can turn the tide in Milo’s favor…
Such a sweet story from two authors that makes magic together. I loved Milo's attempts of cooking, how clever he was in his attempts of being noticed by the stern surgeon and being just an overall ray of sunshine.
Duval was very cute in his confusion and how he did his best to be supportive, just not always with the most success.
A story where both characters just accepts the others quirks without wanting to change them. There was nothing I didn't love about it, perhaps only that I wanted more.
I don't even know how to rate this. I generally don't enjoy romances with asexual characters, and for the first half of this one I DEEPLY didn't enjoy it. Not for the asexuality aspect, but because each character was so genuinely unpleasant in their own way, and there was absolutely no lovely, building buzz of growing attraction or chemistry between them. The second half was... better. Definitely not a book I loved though, but where I dnf a LOT of them, I didn't dnf this one, so... I guess that means something?
So, I liked the idea of this book, and the two characters were well developed, but some things were a bit off for me. Like Milo was very pushy and almost aggressive, even when Gio was clearly uncomfortable. I would have liked to see more from Gino’s point of view. Milo was a hot mess and I honestly don’t think a world renowned neurosurgeon would tolerate that very well.
It’s slow burn with the first sex scene coming after 60% and Gio keeping his clothes on for both encounters (there are only two). I would have appreciated seeing some kind of encounter between Milo and Gino’s ex husband. Not that Sebastian would have been upset, I just think it would have added to the story.
Overall, good read, found a couple typos, but nothing that took me out of the story.
This is my second 'naked cleaner' story, by a different author I should add, and I find the concept rather amusing, it does make for an interesting read. But this fell a little short, as cute as it was, a young and eager man against an older and stuffy surgeon, it started off great but dwindled into repetitive dialogue. Don't get me wrong, it was enough to keep me going but I found it a teensy bit tiresome.
I loved this book. Milo Ricci is a maid. In order to increase his earnings he cleans in the buff. After trouble with a client that leaves him with little work. One of his clients Giovanni Duval offers him more work including cooking. One problem Milo cant cook. Giovanni Duval is neurodivergent, asexual, smart and a Doctor. He has no idea what to do with Milo. Milo decides he wants to be with Giovanni. Will all his attempts of seduce Giovanni be for nothing or will they work?
There were things I liked and some other that I didn't. I like a bit Giovanni. As socially awkward that he was, he was a nice character. Milo was a lot of fun but he seem to force a relationship way too much into Giovanni. He was too persistent and that made me dislike him a bit. The book started quite good. I was loving it until somewhere around the middle where they start talking about being on a relationship and it bring everything down to me. I start losing a bit my interest and get mad at Milo for not respecting Giovanni's boundaries. It end up working well. I was a nice book even if I had a few issues with it.
This started out cute but then Milo's pushiness started to make me uncomfortable on Giovanni's behalf. He came off so needy and inconsiderate. By the end it felt like Giovanni was the only one to make changes for the relationship. Not much really happens in this book. Just all talking and inner thoughts.
