When the clock strikes midnight, everything can change...
Sydney was considered the lowest Omega within the pack after she was left an orphan at the age of ten. Cursed with a stepmother and two stepsisters that did nothing to stop the pack from treating Sydney as a slave, she wondered if she would be better off as a rogue.
She did not think things could get worse until her Fated Mate rejected her on the night he was to be coronated as the Alpha of the Ember Forest Pack. As she picked up the pieces of her shattered heart, a Witch granted her the ability to go to the party without anyone being able to recognize her.
That's when she met Alpha Nero. When he takes her outside to get to know her better, Sydney realizes the magic was beginning to fade. As she runs from him without letting him know who she is... And Nero doesn't give up on finding out.

Kenzie Graves is a paranormal romance author within the dark, rejected mates, and why choose subgenres. She is a mother of two and two fur-babies. Her love of reading evolved into her love of creating her own worlds and characters for others to enjoy!
Midnight Wolf by Kenzie Graves was absolutely enchanting! The loose re-retelling of Cinderella with wolves was magical! The world created was so real and visually captivating that is was sad, and an effort, to put down when adulting life called. Sydney is a truly incredible heroine. Her perseverance, hope, kindness and love was awe-inspiring. She was so strong and resilient and it was beautiful to watch her fully recognize it. And Nero…goodness gracious that man! Talk about Prince Charming material *fans self*! Nero’s kindness, protectiveness, and sense of doing the right this was so amazing. Together, Sydney and Nero were electric. Their willingness to listen, learn and love one another was beautiful in every sense. They are a true fated pair and it was outstanding to watch unfold. Have to give a huge shout out to the side characters too, they are awesome and add another awesome level to the story!
Midnight Wolf is a fantastic retelling of Cinderella. Sydney is an exceptional character, who develops over the chapters and goes from being this insecure girl to the badass woman that she really is. Nero is the Prince Charming portrayed. I love how determined he is and nothing or no one will stop him when the events are related to Sydney. The relationship of both characters is charming and spicy to the voice, it has moments that melt your heart and moments that melt you due to the heat of the scene. Lucy, Merida, Jake, Warren, Chris, and Arista are unique, each one brings enough to the story to get to know them, and you end up caring for and loving each one of them. It's a story that you really immerse yourself in and I can't wait for the next book.
This is book two in the Love is Grimm Series. Kenzie does a fantastic job with this retelling of Cinderella. Sydney (Cinderella) is an amazing FMC. She grows from a quiet unconfident girl to a strong independent woman. Nero (Prince Charming) is wonderful too. At first determined to find Sydney and then helping her grow. Kenzie writes amazing supporting characters too. Sydney's and Nero's friends are awesome and everyone should have friends like them. The villains make it so you just can't wait for them to get what's coming to them. I highly recommend this book! Can't wait for the next one in the series!
FANTASTIC book about new beginnings, courage and fated mates(true love), with a twist on Cinderella! I fell in love with the characters and was a bit sad when I reached the end of the story!
I absolutely loved this re-telling of Cinderella! Exciting story with brilliant characters throughout. And who doesn’t love a happy ending? Kenzie certainly has a wonderful way of painting a picture with her words, I always enjoy her writing!
This book was okay. It was easy to read and follow but wasn't a literary work of art. There were some small typos and grammar issues through out the book that could have been fixed in production. I am a big fan or shifter and monster books so I was very excited about getting this in my "blind date with a book" purchase. This trope of broken mating bonds and finding new love has definitely been done many times before. I will admit that the author does a great job of making you hate characters with a burning passion however. It was a fast paced book, pretty predictable. I might pick up another book from this author but it's not at the top of my grab list.
I'm so in love with this retelling! The spin is so unique. The characters are perfectly written...and I mean, PERFECT! The FMC, Sydney is so strong and down to earth. Even with her going through such a horrible time, she stays sweet and humble. I really like the rejected mate/second chance mate theme - it added some extra depth! The MMC, Nero is 🔥🔥 I need him as my boyfriends irl 😅 I love his and Sydney's chemistry!
This was an absolutely wonderful story! I loved the retelling and how well it fit with the rejected mates idea. I never would have imaged this fairy tale of Cinderella to be retold in such an amazing way! This story in my opinion is one of the best retellings. The characters are very well developed and you can really feel the feelings that the characters are experiencing as well.
OMG!!! I can’t decide where to start with the words to describe just how amazing this supernatural retelling of Cinderella is. Kenzie’s spin on a classic tale had me unable to put down the book. A female lead who learns more about herself as she grows, great friends and equal parts love and action. Definitely one that will have me wanting to read it again and again
If you like rejected mates and retold fairytales, you will love this one. It’s a fun Cinderella retelling. I really enjoyed reading it. It was a little slow in some places, but overall quite entertaining. Sydney starts out as quite resigned to her place, but starts to hold her own as the story progresses.
This is a cute retelling of Cinderella. Please fix the POV. The chapter titles are very misleading. I also don't understand why you would stuff so many stories within one. The different mating couples with little to no background or coverage then leaving them out of the epilogue.
Book two! I just love this retelling of Cinderella. Sydney has grown so much in this book and Nero! 🥰 love him. I also really love it when writers have awesome supporting characters. And Kenzie does this perfectly 🥰 the world building and character development is fantastic! I highly encourage you to give this one a read!
I loved this retelling of Cinderella so much! Sydney was epic! I loved the chemistry with the characters! It was written amazing! I loved Nero (insert drool here) the story was very well written. I felt everything the characters were going through and I almost cried. 20/10 recommend this!
I have fallin in love with this author. I have never read a retelling before and she has done an amazing job with these that I can't get enough of her writing. I definitely recommend anyone and everyone to check this story and all her others out. You will NOT be disappointed.
Wow, what a read. This book was amazing, from the moment that I started I knew I was in for something special. It moves along at a great pace, has amazing characters that you will love and a story that will grab you and not disappoint. This book needs to be read, no doubt about it.
This story is so much more than Cinderella. It gives it a more realistic look to the Cinderella story. It’s about personal growth and becoming your best person. The detail Kenzie used throughout the story was amazing. This is a must read story!
