(Warning: This book is Upper YA, and recommended for ages 15+ due to some sexual references, torture, gore, and some language.)

I was born in San Francisco, raised in Maui, Hawaii, and now reside with my husband in Las Vegas. I am a dreamer and caffeine addict who loves to laugh and loves to read to escape reality.
One of my greatest satisfactions is creating fantasy worlds filled with adventure and romance. It is the love and incredible support of my family and fans that keeps me going. One day I hope to uncover my magic wardrobe and ride away on a unicorn. Until then . . . I'll keep writing!
Now that a day has passed and I have had time to gather my thoughts, i have a few comments (of fucking course)
So I gave the rest of the books in the series a 5* because I genuinely enjoyed the plot, the love story, the character development and just the writing over all. Having said that, I do believe that this could have been more successful if it were to be a duology because just the whole song and dance of downloading a new book and starting again felt like a chore and miss girl is tired
This last book in what is a series of FOUR WHOLE BOOKS wasn't as enjoyable to me and I felt bad giving it a 3 * so upped one because of nostalgia for the others.
Everything felt rushed and the last big war which ideally should have been an entire book if we are looking at the track record was only fit into the last 20 pages. yup yup. so forgive me for my disappointment.
Conclusion of an ensnaring story. I was excited to start this book right away after its release since I was so waiting for it after that incredible ending in the third book. This book can’t get a better ending, Cameo wrote so well and kept me hooked by each and every word. I wanted to know all about Calla and Trystan after they form the blood bond. I’m fascinated by the outcome. It's an epic ending to a roller coaster ride of CALLA & TRYSTAN.
Cameo surely knows how to get readers' attention, the story was perfectly spaced out with detailing. It has got a perfect pace, neither slow nor fast. The growth of Calla with her powers is mesmerizing enough to want more and more of the story. I didn’t want the story to end, just that all the troubles to be gone.
The characters are fascinating and they give the story an essential amount of drama and action. The story is action and magic packed, you get to see a lot of elemental magic. The intensity and chemistry of Calla and Trystan is the icing on the cake. I wanted to see more of Kai and would love to see his own spin-off if Cameo decides to write. Nicolae is the one character that grew on me through the entire book and is a force to reckon with. The book is a perfect blend of magic, vampires, friendship, chemistry, enemy, and the impending war.
And so the end has come and I'm all weepy-eyed and marshmallowy. Four books in a series is a huge investment for both the author and the reader. And every book has had me perched upon the edge of my seat. I've had moments of freaking out and moments of joy. I've fallen in love with this fantasy world with intricate detailing with mind-blowing storytelling. The covers have all been glorious as have the illustrations.
Calla has my heart... forever! Her journey was mesmerizing and at times absolutely frightening. And her prince was a fabulous book boyfriend who was truly swoon-worthy. After all the sadness my heart was so joyful to see a happily ever.
The supporting characters were all so well fleshed out and memorable. I'm going to miss them all.
The beauty of reading Cameo Renae is that her worlds are always unfailingly epic and the dialogue is fresh, fierce and addictive. The adventures with the twisty turns keep those pages flying by. She's one of my favorites and I love having her physical books grace my bookshelves.
I definitely one clicked bought this book so I could see how this all ended cause after 3 novels that I flew through there was no way I could leave it unfinished in my mind.
Calla is a force to be reckoned with. It took her awhile to really tap into her power, but man once she did she didn't hold back and I loved every second of it.
I'm sad that Brynna had the fate she did. I want sure how she would have fit into the new Calla's life but I didn't want the last remaining person from her life before to leave. That was a bit brutal I think.
I also said I wanted an epilogue to this story showing us everyone's future and that didn't happen either, sadly.
Oh well. I did enjoy this storyline and found that I literally flew through the books. 4 books in 2 days is crazy fast for me right now. They definitely held my attention and kept me wanting more until the end.
🏰 Fantasy Romance 👑 War and Death 🏰 Magic and Vampires 👑 End of the Series
What an ending!! I had so much anticipation for this and it did not disappoint.
Trystan and Calla's love story really blossomed, finally having the chance to love. There was mention of a lot of s*x but no real details, thie, thin he weloved be over aunt of meetion to story.
I expected death, and there was definitely some but I am also so happy with who survived the big battle. Calla's strength was masterful in that last chapter.
Absolutely a great and wonderful series! All the true heirs are there to reign the kingdoms and thrive! I would have loved a flash forward to after the war and all kings and queens travelling in their new roles. I'm sure that will be for the spin-off series.
I am so sad it's over, the whole plot and storyline was absolutely captivating.
I read the first three books in this series a year ago and I'm rereading it because I just got this book (which is the last book in the series).
The plot was really good but I really found it lacking in the writing details department. I really think the fighting scenes in the last part could've gone better. I also lost a bit of interest when the main lead "Calla" and her significant other "Trystan" got together because now that they're together it just lost the tension and I found it boring.
Other than that this was overall a pretty good series❤️❤️
The thing that I loved the most about this is the found family trope. I really like their group of friends; Kai,Thalia, the cadre, Calla,Trystan,Sabine and Markus❤️❤️
Btw my favorite character is Kai❤️❤️

Overall a great series but this specific book seemed rushed and a few things didn’t quite make sense to me or left me with some confusion (see below).
I would recommend the series. It had great characters, unique and cool magic systems and an interesting story line. A fun fantasy read!
Spoilers… . . . . . . What happened to Sebastian? I was hoping we would see him again? Trystan and Callas relationship seemed so forced, their dialogue was kind of cringy. The kings complete 360 towards Calla was super quick and didn’t really make sense. His overall character change was strange. Why was Trystans mom poisoned? Seemed like a strange thing to just drop in but never get to the bottom of.
Of Kingdom and Crowns is a YA fantasy/paranormal and last installment in the Heir of Blood and Fire series. And omg it was worth all the wait. It was absolutely amazing and gahhh i had goosebumps reading it. I finished it in few hours just one sitting as i couldn't put it down. It was everything i was hoping for and more! I love love love Trystan and Calla and their chemistry and bond is sizzling. I floved every second of it. It's such a gripping series and Cameo gave it perfect conclusion with this book. This story is flawless action packed blend of love, magic, bond, chemistry, powers, friendship and war and you will be hooked! BRAVO!
“Calla, your burdens are no longer yours to bear alone. I am here now and will stand beside you, from this moment until the next realm welcomes me.” Nothing prepared me for this epic finale full of twists and turns. A fire ignited inside of me and it changed my life forever…for the better. As Calla rose from the ashes stronger, with a love brighter than anything, her last journey only became that more memorable. She got the Prince she was truly meant to be with, embraced her past, fought the war, and emerged from it a different girl. I look forward to the spin-offs. “My love. My flame. I will always walk beside you, even if the rest of the world walks away.”
Loved this series, a great Vampirish read for all you vamp lovers out there. Sassy, broody characters and found family along the way. A lovely HEA ending with the villains getting their comeuppance in the end, which was sooo over due, haha! I will say, I felt that this book was slightly slower than the last 3, but I was very happy with how it all came together in the end and seeing Calla's journey and her growth. Of course, I laughed and I cried and you will know when, when the time comes to it...Cameo Renae you had me going! Honestly add this series to your TBR!
This author has a way of writing a story and making you feel as if you're a part of the journey with these characters. I absolutely enjoyed every page of this story and every minute I spent reading it. I was on the edge of my seat when it came to the twists and turns. I loved that this story was filled with friendships, action, betrayals, heartfelt and touching moments, romance, love, and more. I love paranormal stories and this one did not disappoint. I couldn't ask for a better HEA when it came to Calla and Trystan, and I loved the side characters just as much. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books from this author in the future.
When I started this series, I was unsure if I would like the storyline to be frank. I had never read anything similar to this & vampires? Well, let’s just say… I never caught onto the hype that was Twilight during my teenage years but I absolutely loved this series. I was so enamored with the storyline that I found myself staying up way later than I should have continuing to turn the pages. My husband heard me say, “I’m going to bed after this chapter,” to later find me at 3 or 4 am still up reading. I’m looking forward to diving into more books by Cameo Renae, as her writing style is absolutely top notch!
Calle, Tristan and their friends have fought bravely throughout their journey. She found her grandfather, lost her parents, gained countless friends and a prince. She was changed into a vampire, thrown into cell, beaten, bruised, gagged and starved. But she emerged a new person. She is confident, assured and has the firepower to back it up. She world's all four elements. She is badass and knows it.
This is the last book of the series, and its fantastic. I lone the prince and his men. Cable's friends are trustworthy, especially Kai. She has grown up so fast and powerful that bad guys better step back. I like heroic women. Great series.
These books made me very happy. Calla became a woman and grew so freaking much. She has the best support system ever and I fell in love with these characters more than I thought possible. I am going to miss them! Don’t pass up these books they are such a treat. There is more romance is the last two books which the first two lacks, and that makes me so happy it helped to balance all of the intense emotions and stress. I can’t wait for the spin off series. The writing and pace was amazing. There was never a slow moment throughout the whole series and the adventurers kept me on the edge of my couch!
Very imaginative characters and plot/scenes. Decent chemistry in general. Fun to read definitely. First two books were pretty great. But final two were not entirely satisfying. A lot of plot with little description toward the end. It was rushed to closure. But mostly I was disappointed by the ending. Although she needs her fated mate to do save the day, she is still the wheelhouse. And then after all the power and her overall badassness, and her potential to become the ruler of more than one country, she is to be the right hand of someone lesser than her. It felt like someone took a needle and popped my balloon. Trystan her mate, says he’ll follow her anywhere, etc and then she becomes his queen while he rules. It just felt very patriarchal, which is weird given she (Calla) is clearly more powerful than anyone else. Why take her power away like that?
Of Kingdoms and downs (Heir of Blood and Fire Book 4)
What a breathtaking , wonderful story! You sometimes want to cry, then you get mad at the bad guys hoping everything is going to turn out ok. I really want to thank the Author, Cameo Renae for writing such a beautiful story and including it on Kendal so I would be able to afford to read the whole series. It truly was a wonderful read and I am sorry it has ended but look forward to the next book. I know it will be just as good as this one was. Thank you for brightening my week!
I read all 4 books in record time! The story held my interest though it did drag at times, I wanted to know what would happen next and what was in store for Calla & Trystan, as well as their group of friends. The spark between Kai & Calla, plus the devotion of all the warriors had me biting my nails. While we all like heated love scenes once in a while, I appreciated the toning down of those intimate scenes that still held romance. So many fantasy stories can really get raunchy throughout the book. Well done!
Read this whole series in about a week. Love the realness of the characters, their doubts, their self esteem issues, their found family. There are a few things that resolved too quickly- like a hater that changes to a supporter after just a conversation, and I think that some deaths were unnecessary, but overall, it was a fun ride that I didn’t want to end. The vibe is similar to Throne of Glass series.
World building: very good Spice: scenes are descriptive (not fade to black) but very rare
AN EPIC CONCLUSION TO AN EPIC STORY! What a journey we’ve been through in these 4 books! I know a fantasy story/world is built well when the characters and their stories linger in my mind, and this story will stick with me always. Love, loss, joy, pain, grief, growth and the power of friendship and believing in yourself - we’ve experienced it all! And this ending wraps everything up with great satisfaction. I am sad to be finished but look forward to the spin-off books and hopefully getting to glimpse into this world and its characters again!
Gah, where do I start? I am a Cameo Renae fan and personally love high fantasy stories. Calla's journey was an incredible rush from page one to the end. Every action from the previous 3 books all comes to a head in book 4. Facing so many fears Calla and her friends triumph for another day but it also comes with a cost. This story was action from beginning to end with some sexy times in between. I am so happy we will be back in this world with new characters.
Good ending to the series. It all got nicely wrapped up in a big, cheesy (in the best way), happily ever after, shiny red bow. I totally relate to Calla in that she cries a lot and so do I :) But seriously! That last scene with Brynna, tears streaming down my face!
Also, since Trystan is taken and it appears so is Kai, I will take any of the cadre members ;) Looking forward to the spin off, whenever it happens.
Absolutely loved this series so much! From beginning to end, following Calla & Tristan on the journeys of love, heartache, war and victory has been amazing. I'm so excited that Cameo is planning a continuation of the characters as they are very endearing. Kai needs his his happily ever after too!
First off I gave the book 5 stars. Emotions. So many different feelings in this book. I had to stop many times because of them. And I am not complaining. Cameo did such a wonderful job writing this story. Wow. I'm going to have a book hangover after this one. Thank you for this wonderful world. I cannot wait when you write more in this world.
Of Kingdoms and Crowns is book four in the series Heir of Blood and Fire by author Cameo Renae. I can not believe I am done - I want to start all over again- this series - this book was amazing. My emotions have been put through the ringer. I’ve laughed - shed a few tears - I can say I’ve been a part of a great love story (ok so I’ve read about one). Enjoy!!
This book disappointed me. The first three were so good but this one tapered off. It felt rushed.
Bryannas reunion and death seemed inconsequential to the overall story making her somewhat of a useless character.
The final battle made Roehl seem far weaker than he was hyped up to be and overall underwhelming for a villain who seemingly had a plan for everything.

The characters were awesome. I loved reading more about the characters.
The storyline was incredible. This story was so full of happiness, friendships, family, sadness, heartache, life and death, bravery and suspense, lots of suspense. This story had me enchanted from the beginning and I just couldn't put the book down. Highly recommend this read.
This whole series was a great read. I snagged the first one on the stuff your kindle day and took time to read it but once I did I was getting every book as soon as I finished the previous. The story line is great and the twists and turns it took you through kept you wanting to read.
The characters are such a good fit and their stories so well told that I quickly found myself totally o vested on their adventures, challenges, tragedies and triumphs. I was rooting and praying for them with so much empathy. I haven' t cried so hard or smiled with such joy in a long time. Looking forward to your future books.
