Krutika falls headlong in love at the tender age of thirteen when she first sets eyes on the dreamy Darsh. That he is barely sixteen seems oh-so-perfect to the barely-there teenager. She never stops loving him when her father ties the knot with his mother soon afterwards.
Darsh has always led a serious life, his responsibilities as the man of the house weighing heavily upon his young shoulders as his birth father never showed interest in his own family. Later, when his mother remarries his stepfather, he could have lightened up, but it never comes naturally to the young man.
With Krutika chasing him blatantly, Darsh really doesn’t have a place to hide, not even in Boston which is as far as he could get, away from Delhi.
How long will he be able to stall the call of destiny? And a determined young lady who has decided to make him her life partner? And what about love? Will he ever find it?
Read this story which is both young-adult and growing-up-together, all rolled up in one; but nonetheless a hot romance.
Sundari Venkatraman is an Indie Author who has 76 self-published books to her credit. These books have consistently featured in the Top 100 Bestseller Lists on Amazon India, Amazon USA, Amazon UK, Amazon Canada and Amazon Australia in both romance as well as Asian Drama categories. Her latest hot romances have all been on #1 Bestseller slot in Amazon India for over a month. These days, the author is independently publishing her novels in paperback format under her banner Flaming Sun, printed and distributed by Notion Press. Even as a child, Sundari absolutely loved the ‘lived happily ever after’ syndrome and she grew up on a steady diet of fairy tales, Phantom comics and Mandrake comics. It was always about good triumphing over evil and a happy ending after the protagonists surmounted all unexpected obstacles. Once she entered her teens, Sundari switched her loyalties from fairy tales to Mills & Boon. While she loved reading both of these, she kept visualising what would have happened if there were similar situations happening in India; to local heroes and heroines. And of course, the joy of vanquishing the ubiquitous evil villains! Her imagination soared and she happily ensconced herself in a rosy romantic cocoon for many years. Then came the writing—a true bolt from the blue! And Sundari Venkatraman has never looked back. Use hashtag #60at60 You can connect with the author here: https://linktr.ee/sundarivenkatraman
A fan of Sundari Venkatraman's work, her books are always worth the wait.
This is a story about Krutika who is madly in love with her step-brother Darsh. At 13, she vehemently declares in front of her family that she is going to marry Darsh, who is barely 17. Amused and a little miffed, Darsh does not reciprocate her feelings. He has charted his own path, has already planned for his future and 'love' has no place in it. Also keeping in mind the complicated nature of their relationship, he does not want to do anything that might shake the status quo of the family. As they grow up, Krutika's love never diminishes, and she chases Darsh relentlessly, but to no avail. Until the parents intervene. Karan and Deepshikha understand the dilemma of their kids and handle the matter with utmost sensitivity it requires. What is in store for Krutika and Darsh? Will Darsh ever take Krutika seriously?
The entire story which spans from the teens to adulthood beautifully depicts the various emotions and feelings a person in love goes through, and how their love matures with age. Krutika is adamant, bold, straightforward girl, who in a way is still childish and a babe in the woods. Darsh is responsible, an intelligent young man who maturely handles Krutika's attention until he's absolutely sure about what he wants. But for me, the highlight of the book were definitely the parents. Right from treating all three kids alike with maturity, I loved how they were a pillar of support for Krutika, and not making her lose face for being in love. Also the relationship between Karan and Darsh is beautiful. They are the role models of how parenting should be done; with unconditional love and understanding. Myra and Grandfather Gulshan were super sweet.
A novel story with intricate family dynamics, executed with grace and delicacy, this one is definitely recommended.
Another sweet romantic story by Sundari Venkatraman Ma'am. I love all your stories for the sheer simplicity of them and your storytelling. There is no big twist, yet one can't put it down once started. I read this book also in one go. The story is hilarious at the start when a 13-year-old Krutika declares she is going to marry a 17-year-old Darsh, who is clueless and finds this whole thing very embarrassing. He is not in love with her and neither does he want to commit at such a tender age. How they grow up and story evolves is heart-warming. I loved the parents I guess more than the protagonists themselves, for the way they handled both the kids so sensitively and with love. A must-read book, it handles so many issues that our teen face today, beautifully and the message is loud and clear, talk when in doubt.
No words..... As I always say.... She is something..
Sundari mam is a great inspiration.. What a book mam. .. All romantic novels are the same, main leads fall in love struggle and then have happy ending, it is the content that matters. And you always seem to get us hooked to ur story. Everytime. This Is a story between two step siblings.. That itself is tbe first sixer. The the innocence of krutu, a teen aged girl... , parents getting a second chance, the understanding and the relation between the six people.... Excellent narration... Never felt an ounce of boredom. Perfecto!!
This one is a different story.... about step - siblings falling in love.... when I started the book, I realized this book was taking Karan and Deepshikha's story forward which got me excited.... Karan and Deepshika from the book " Once Bitten Twice Lucky" are the best parents one can have and this is proved time and again in the book
The sweet little 13 year old Krutika claims to be in love with her 17 year old step brother Darsh but her feelings are not reciprocated.... not one to give up, she works on her relationship with inputs from her stepmom, while also trying to create a life of her own... Darsh, on the other hand is carving out his own life, with Karan helping him out whenever he gets stuck
Along with grandpa and Myra, this close-knit family of 6 take this story forward, with a few life lessons for the readers
Krutu and Darsh’s romance is so cute ❤️. Deep and Karan have turned into wonderful parents, a team! When I had read about Krutu’s feelings for Darsh in once bitten i never thought to get to read about it in a separate story but loved every word of it. Her silly notions and their parents handling it so very well. Understanding both of their kids feelings and helping them was 👍🏻. I hope to get to read about Myra’s story soon as well
After reading this beautiful work by one of my favourite authors, I am dumbstruck that how love can blossom in any relationship, how beautiful the feelings are, and how beautiful the world is around you if you know how to accept each and every relationship.
The love story of step siblings, yes you heard it right, out of the box love story written beautifully well and graced with wonderful parents'love and care. Krutika is 13 years old when she announced her love for her step brother Darsh who is 17. It was a shocker for the family but handled beautifully by the elders. The most important message in the story is about parenting, Deepshikha and Karan are the prime examples of how parents should support their children, how to handle the young adults, how every situation has a positive change to bring into our life and how the required space needs to be given to every relationship to flourish. Definitely a great read and a wonderful message for everyone. Accept every relationship.
