“Sure, I’ll be your pretend girlfriend,” are words you should NEVER say to the man you hate…
He’s maddeningly hot and rich AF.
He doesn’t believe in love but needs to appear like he does.
He stands against everything I want.
He doesn't want kidsRefuses to give love a chanceAnd definitely does not want a real relationship. He needs a fake girlfriend and said I was the perfect fit.
The plan was simple… or so I thought.
But I screwed up and I’m falling for the arrogant prick millionnaire.
The first time I met him, I was a broken mess.
He fixed me and now he knows I could never say no to him.
I’m under his control and that’s exactly how he likes it.
I agree to be his fake date, but secretly I want the real thing.
Him holding my hand and gazing deep into my eyes doesn’t feel pretend.
Waking up in his strong protective arms and the feel of his skin on mine is very, very real.
And so is this little plus sign appearing before my eyes.
Maybe he’ll change his mind about love when he finds out I’m having his baby…
If you’re looking for enemies to lovers this isn’t it, however if you like low angst, softer reads I’d say this is for you. While this book may be your speed, I personally felt that nothing of note started to happen until almost the end of chapter 9. Sadly I felt as if the author was just telling me what had happened so far. After this point the story picks up, with a fair amount happening and yet not really. I felt like more could have been done with some events and plot areas. Characters address trauma and their past etc. The ending unfortunately felt rather abrupt to me, I would have like an extra chapter or two. This book isn’t badly written by any means, and seems well thought out. Perhaps this style of writing isn’t for me. I am still giving it it 3 Stars as I believe some of my struggles come from personal preference.

Ashlie Silas has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Rachael and Love Jones Perry. Rachael suffers from nightmares and her boyfriend, Charles can't deal with them and breaks up with her after she had a nightmare and he ends up on the floor. Bethany, Rachael's sister tells her that she needs to get away for a while and she would take care of it. Bethany gives Rachael information on Love's Academy. After thinking about it for a week or so, Rachael decides to go. On the way there, her car breaks down and a man stops to help her but she refused his help. When she gets to Love's Academy, she is asked where her partner is. When she said she didn't have one, she is asked to speak to the owner. When he walks in, Rachael is shocked to see the man who stopped to help her. Things happen between them and they become friends. The more time Rachael spends with Love the more she falls for him. He is falling for her, but he fights his feelings for her because of his parent's relationship. He doesn't trust in love. After a while, they end up sleeping together and she tells him that she loves him. He tells her that he hoped that she didn't expect him to change his mind about not believing in love because it would not work. Rachael lets it go for the moment. Rachael gets surprised when someone tells her that someone is at the front desk asking for her. When she and Love get there, the person is Charles, her ex-boyfriend. Charles tries to act like he cares for her but all he wants is for her to marry him for a deal he is working on. She sends him packing. Rachael goes up to Love's room and tells him what happened. He tells her that she should have taken Charles back since he is not going to fall in love with her. All he can give her is his friendship. Rachael knows that Love feels something for her so she is going to prove it to him. Things take a turn for the worse when Rachael finds out she is pregnant and tells Love. He walks out on her. She gets a call from Bethany and is told that she just lost the baby. Rachael packs and goes to help her sister. She tells one of the academy's employees that she had a family emergency and had to go home and would they please tell Love. Will Love realize that he loves Rachael and go after her? If he does, will Rachael forgive him? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Rachael’s sister encourages her to go to what she thinks is a singles’ retreat. However, it is actually a place for couples to get counseling. She meets the man in charge, Love Jones Perry, who can’t figure why this single woman is at his couples retreat to fix love issues.
Her arrival has good timing, however, since he needs a fake girlfriend to make himself more believable. Actually, he doesn’t believe in love despite what he does for a living. And Rachael is starting to fall for him for real! While she is trying to figure out how to deal with this, her pregnancy test shows a result she didn’t want to see right now. Will Love quickly break off their relationship and distance himself from Rachael? Or will this force him to re-think how he really feels? Will he panic when he finds out Rachael is gone, claiming a family emergency?
Faking With The Enemy is a type of book that holds some very good family advice, for everyone. Even when you least expect it, love and a open mind, prevails.
Granted, I did feel as though there was something missing between the last chapter and the epilogue. But, I still enjoyed meeting both Love and Rachael. Their chemistry and their outlook of love and commitment is very…….. therapeutic…lol…and their Last but not least, let me say, this is the first time I’ve ever read anything from this author. And it’s not going to be the last. I’m looking forward to seeing more.

This book was good and sexy without all the graphic sex. This book told a story, a real story. It talked about life happenings. You wrote a book with an ending. I did not want this book to end, it was that good. I will read this again, especially if I read a bad one. I would want to wash the bad book from my mind. Love and Rachael were soul mates. The only complaint was Rachael's father not owning his mistake and apologizing and her mother acting distant toward her. A lot of abused women don't know the harm they do to their children until it's too late. Even if the father doesn't abuse the kids, they still feel it, too. Love this book! Read this book, you will not be disappointed.
I liked the give and take between the main characters in this book. It covered some deep topics and how to deal with the trauma in their lives. While they were helping each other, it was interesting that they were also building a good friendship considering they didn't care for the other when they first met. It is a definite page turner and you never know what's coming up next! If you like a love story with a slow burn and intrigue, this is the book for you.

Definitely not your traditional romance. Much more emotional trauma than romance, which is a book I would read but wasn’t expecting. If you’re looking for something light and fluffy, this isn’t it.
It deals with PTSD and physical and emotional abuse in a very real light. Allowing us to see how the main characters lives are shaped by these past traumas. They had a lot to overcome but they did. I would recommend this book to everyone!
I’m honestly so mad at the person who wrote this blurb. The book is semi good, actually, it needed some more chapters especially at the ending cause it was all SO RUSHED but other than that I didn’t hate it.
The blurb though..it is misleading as to the actual book.
Love is not the guy who “can’t keep his hands off” her, it’s always Rachel insisting the want each other, that it’s mad love, immediately, constantly drooling over him and thinking “KISS ME” and he tries (hit or miss) to friendzone her though they’re fake dating.
AND HE IS NOT HER THERAPIST, a therapist in general, yes, but not hers. THE LIES!!!
“He fixed me and now he knows I could never say no to him” Insinuating he ‘fixed’ her (it insinuates grooming, really, I’m sorry) and then asked her to save his butt is NOT how it happened. Helping her is what he did and it was after their fake relationship started. But for some reason some writers like the word “fix” as if they’re writing about broken china and not people.
“I’m under his control and that’s exactly how he likes it.” Also insinuating grooming and this NEVER happened either. He’s a bit too cocky but everything she did since the fake dating started was her choice.
“I agree to be his fake date, but secretly I want the real thing.” Secretly!? Homegirl’s been broadcasting it to him every chance she gets, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing (go get him girl!), but she’s acting like a spoiled teen whenever he says he’s not there and still keeps dating him. Real or fake.
“And so is this little plus sign appearing before my eyes.” Yep, spoil your own ending, go ahead. This happened in the very last chapter and it was the only way to force those two together as Love had been proclaiming he didn’t want a relationship or family. Did he want her? Sure. But he wasn’t ready to admit it or commit.
“Maybe he’ll change his mind about love when he finds out I’m having his baby” Person who wrote this blurb, this is NOT love, this is guilt tripping someone to be with you using a baby. That’s what the blurb describes! Like I said, the baby happened in the very last chapter, with a deus ex machina character to help too, as a way to FORCE a hea because because the writer either wasn’t given the green light for any extra chapters she may or may not have written or hadn’t fully invested in the story herself enough to write a good plotline and closing for the characters.
As for the actual content, it’s not really an enemies-to-lovers, they were never really enemies to begin with. Another miss!! Also I felt I read too much of nothing; all the plot/character altering discussions either happened without us or not at all. Everything felt rushed and just thrown in and out of the book just to show they shared experiences together…
I’d give it more credit as a fanfic honestly. As a book, it needed a little more work and space..and certainly a better blurb.

Rachael has night terrors caused through PTSD from her time in the military, it has broken up many of her relationships as the men cannot cope with her condition. I enjoyed this romance story with all of the characters. The two main characters were Rachel and Love Jones Perry.
Rachel has been suffering from nightmares ever since leaving the military. Something happened during her military career that is making these dream come on. With the dreams it is effecting here relationship with her boyfriend. During an episode she hits and pushes her boyfriend out of their bed. They both fight and he leaves her. When her sister suggest a vacation get away. She decides to take it.
Love Jones Perry own an Academy that is for couples that are having trouble with their relationship. It is a place to come relax and get to know each other. On the way back to the academy he see a woman by her car that looks like she having trouble. He tried to help but she didn't want it. Later she show up a the academy.
This was a fun story to read. There were a few sad part but most of it was quite funny. It had me laughing and giggling a lot.

Rachael's sister wants her to go to a love academy to find a new boyfriend after hers leaves her because she has night terrors after her time in the army. Upon her arrival she finds that the academy isn't to find love it's a place for couples to work on their relationships. She complains to the owner, Love. He asks her to pretend to be his girlfriend so he'll have better credibility with the clients at the academy. I love the connection between Love and Rachael. I'm also a sucker for a book that has a strong relationship between sisters. Bethany and Rachael have a great bond. I love that the epilogue gave us updates on the couples from the academy. My only issue was after all the sexual tension between Love and Rachael and they finally act on it, it's only written out in a couple sentences. I wish the author had written more details and made it longer so the payoff would have been better.
Ms. Silas writes a 5 star story. I love everything about this book. It is well written, has wonderful character, fantastic flow, and pacing, keeps you turning the pages. The characters Rachael and Love are terrific, Rachael has night terrors which drove off her boyfriend Charles. Her sister Bethany tells her that she needs to get away for a time and try and get rid of them. She is the one who gave her the brochure on the Love Academy thinking it was for finding love, but in reality it is for couples to work out issues. Love Jones Perry is a great guy and is wanting to help her. They tell everyone at the Academy that they are a couple. Both start wanting it to be real. Again, thumbs up on this book.

Rachael is ex-military and is suffering from PTST, which is affecting her love life, so her sister arranges for her to attend the Love Academy to find love. Love is the creator and runs the academy to help couples whose marriages are in trouble and need help. Love and Rachael do not get off to the best of starts as they have already had a run in when her car broke down. Love gets Rachael to agree to be his fake girlfriend, but what will happen when feeling come into play? This is a well written story which is intriguing and entertaining, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend. Faking With The Enemy is wonderfully written. The two main characters have emotional scars. Together they find ways and strength to overcome their past hurts.
Rachael Kessler has recently left the army. She suffers from PTSD. It has caused her to lose her father’s respect and her boyfriend. Her sister sends her to a location thinking it is a place to find love.
Love Jones Perry runs Love’s Academy. He councils couples needing help to save their relationships. He has his own demons to fight from his past. When Racheal shows up at his academy, he uses her appearance to help give his image a much needed boost. Will their connection lead to more?.

Charles can't deal with Rachel and her nightmare and he feels he need to leave and find someone else. After Rachel goes out to find love her ex wants her back. Funny how the tables can get turned. I’m hoping that Rachel realize she desires better than Charles. This was a great read with a few twists and turns.

Rachel is about to give up on love when she comes to Love's academy by mistake. The man himself, Love Jones Perry is wondering what the beautiful single woman is doing in his retreat for couples that their love is on the rocks.
Its a perfect agreement, friendship and pretending to date. One little problem, he doesn't believe in love at all and she is falling for him.
This was hot and sweet and a sheer delight to read. I loved the way they met and the push and pull of them both. With unforgettable characters, you will find yourself falling for this book.

Enters the man in charge, Love Jones Perry. Color him confused, he can’t figure why this single woman is attending his couples retreat.
A lot happens after her arrival. For him it's perfect timing, since he needs a fake girlfriend to seem believable. She starts to fall for him. Is Love going to break off their relationship and distance himself from Rachael once he knows her secret?.

Not convinced about the hero being 'the enemy"... A really different yet compelling read. It was, to me at least, quite an unusual & thereby unique story which I won't detail. I will let on that it was the kind of raw & gritty angsty story that sucks you in & just when you're getting comfortable it spits you out, but at least you'll have compassion for the main characters, as much as you want to smack some sense into especially the hero..ugh! I do so enjoy conflicting emotions. I receIved an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Rachael and Love Jones Perry (I dubbed him JL because yeah!) found themselves on the wrong side of love in too many of their relationships and the worse were their parental ones!! Rachael realized who her heart beat for and was stubborn enough to make him step into the light. I feel like the ending was rushed and didn't really give her the same healing from her parents' hurtfulness as JL received from his mom. Should have been a warning about the colorful word bombs that exploded everywhere!!.

This book was so good and I was absolutely enthralled from the beginning until the end and the storyline flowed throughout the book. Rebecca has night terrors and gets away after her bf walks out on her but when her car breaks down it love Jones perry to tge rescue or will they both have issues with each other? Now checking into a place looking for love she comes face to face with him again but when two broken people are together can they make it work?.

This is Rachel and Love Jones Perry's story. It's a fun read that entertains and all the twists and turns keep you turning the pages. I like how something like PTSD is the start to a fun and unexpected adventure for Rachel, who just wants to find love and is misled by her sister to go to Love Academy. This couple's therapy vacation island is NOT what she signed up for, but ends up being all she needed and more... A light read that leaves you with a feel good mood. I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed this book. great characters and an engaging story. Rachel suffers with night terrors, trying to help her sister books her a retreat. unbeknown to her its for couples therapy. Love is her therapist and lets her stay if she pretends to be his other half, to give himself credibility with is patients. their chemistry is strong and soon they start to want more. a fun tale with interesting characters. After getting out of the military, Rachel started experiencing night terror. This weighed heavily on her relationships, as they could not deal with the it. Looking for help, Rachel heads to the Love Academy hoping for help.
Love Jones Perry runs the academy that helps couples heal their relationships. He past has created his own obstacles to overcome. When their first meeting creates tension, Love asking her to help as a fake girl throws them into spiral as their hearts are laid on the line.

This is a slow burn romance between Rachael and Love. These broken but likeable characters and the unique plot make for an interesting read. What starts out as a fake relationship turns into something more. It is a love story with some drama, steam, humor, frustrating moments, twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader engaged. Seriously entertaining.
