The book had quite a few twists and turns, and certain parts reminded me of Ghost and Angela from Power. Internal Affairs is told by Aaliyah, a female undercover cop and the story has the potential makings for a good cop show. You have dirty politicians, gang fights, cops, and of course gunfights. This book is written beautifully, you can imagine most of the scenes in your head. I felt let down towards the end, because it ended so abruptly, and I have so many questions. I’m hoping there will be a part 2 that picks right up where book 1 left off.
If you like police procedure, mystery, drama, and fast-paced action, I would recommend this book for you.

Thank you to Urban Reviews Online for the copy of this book, the review posted here is of my own opinion.

Adonis and Sahara

This story was so good. Aaliyah Smith is a cop who often goes undercover. She is assigned the case of finding out who Adonis is to help stop the crime in the Rose District. Damien Jackson is an entrepreneur who own a coffee shop in which Aliyah gets a job under the alias of Sahara Bennett. At first Damien keeps Sahara at an arms length but gradually they become more. After a tragedy Damien and Sahara become more intimate. From there you have corrupt politicians, police officers, gang devotion, and a couple shootouts that affect Sahara. Didn’t know this wasn’t the end of Damien and Aaliyah’s story but I definitely look forward to reading the next book.

Amazing

This book was a thrill ride and we just taken through it. Between Aaliyah and Damien crazy ride of a relationship or Terrance snitch self...it was a lot. A cop whose job is to bring the bad guys to justice gets more than she bargains for and a legacy in the streets who is basically robin hood, but wants peace in his life. The world around them is burning while they try to put it out for different reasons. The book was amazing and lord knows I need book 2...because that ending what I have questions.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The author does an excellent job developing the characters and drawing you into their lives. I appreciated how it makes you see how sometimes people really are a victim of their circumstances. And how difficult it can be to break that chain. I am So looking forward to the next book by this author. She is a truly gifted storyteller!!!
