Former rising star, current no-name actor Jang Seungmin's lucked out. Not only has he nabbed a role in a TV show, but he's also getting to work with the biggest star in the country, Ha Hyunje. Charismatic, handsome, but also a little bit of a jerk, Hyunje has a magnetic presence that draws everyone in. Before Seungmin knows it, he's become yet another Ha Hyunje fanboy. Seungmin's satisfied with keeping a safe distance between himself and Hyunje, but...why is Hyunje so interested in Seungmin? More importantly, what does "the incident" that happened 7 years ago have to do with anything?
had a hard time reading at first but the plot was actually really interesting and great, kept me hooked midway through the story and i couldn’t stop till i finished it.
This was a really well-written story, and the art was consistently good, but it did have a few pacing issues where some threads dragged and others made sudden jumps.
The plot was multifaceted with the romance, the mystery of "the incident", the many character relationships, the antagonist, and the main character's growth, so there was always something going on. But there was possibly too much focus on all the subplots and too little focus on the central romance, to the point that it almost felt like an afterthought because there wasn't a lot of screen time for their feelings to develop or their chemistry to build. It would have been nice to have more simmering tension throughout instead of isolated incidents of romance in amongst the more pressing mystery/antagonist plotline. It kind of felt like there were no romance milestones between just being interested in each other, and then eventually being together. No big moment of realising their feelings, confessing, doubting, etc.
That said, the two MCs were both interesting characters, and I was rooting for their relationship. The ML, in particular, is a really wacky guy, so it was fun watching him try to woo the MC throughout the story because his methods were... odd.
