People feared my men, but that was only because they hadn’t seen what I, Valentina Romano, was capable of. Torn apart by unfulfilled promises, hatred, and betrayal, I was done being a puppet in the games these men played.
I once considered him family, a close friend when I had no one else. Now he dared to ruin everything I had, everything we built, and for that he would die.
Ares Sabino, one of my three, always held me together. Now he’d be the one who helped me get my revenge. No one endangers my family and the world we created without paying for it. These challenges we faced were endless, but this was going too far.
Every day I wondered how much more we could take. Now I worried if this war I had declared would be what tore us all apart.

This is such a great ending to this series. I loved all the love, chemistry and drama that was in here. I loved how each character learned more about each other and themselves. I loved how they supported each other through all the obstacles.
I loved that Ares finally opened up about his past to Valentina. I love how she stepped into her role as the Dark Queen and found her place in the family. I love how they all stepped up and did what had to be done and weren’t afraid to speak their minds.

This is the third book and conclusion of The Dark Kings series buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously story 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, arranged marriage, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe love. Once you start this reverse harem you won’t stop even when you know you have things to do so by the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. Recap: Valentina’s life hasn’t been easy living with a father who didn’t always treat her well especially when she didn’t do what she was told often times putting in a small room like a cell most of her childhood she has her way of coping, she was promised as a young girl to one man who was expected to come for her at the age of 18 but he never showed now at 21 years old her father was going to give her to a vile human being in the form of a man older enough to be her father, who had six wives already he did unthinkable things to them even killing half of them and this is who her father intended for her (yep father of the year award …yeah absolutely not) currently he has her locked in her cell with two guards outside. After being saved by her boys yep, all three of them belong to her and after learning what they had to do to save her, accepting what they did to save her, and her making her own demands which resulted with her being kidnap set up by the very cousin she thought cared for her so its pickups where her boys are working with the kidnapper to get her back. Now we pick up where her boys has set up a meeting with Mario who shows up with very arrogant trying to pretend to be sorry for what happened to his dear cousin but he is anything but and as they are concluding the meeting heading out something happens he shots Dante while alone with him but you guys know her boys are much smarter than to get shot but she doesn’t realize it so taking her to safety for three days leaving her with a trusted soldier always underestimating her but while alone she steps into her role as queen fully making negotiation with the very men her cousin was trying to work with as well as some of their other allies like the Cubans who wanted more she is left alone to wonder but instead of curling up in a ball she decides to take the bull by the horns so to speak by the time Ares arrives he is so stunned he is speechless. Once Nico and Dante who are still in hiding to flush out her cousin learn of the moves, she has made with the rivals they find her short of amazing loving the fact that she embraced her role and putting her foot down on them telling her the truth, the whole truth which of course they agree to at this point. They find the cousin who started this mess with a baby boy whom he had planned on selling of course her boys wasn’t going to allow that to happen so taking him home wasn’t even an option immediately they all feel in love with their baby and after some extensive searching to find the baby parents, family and him having none they decided to keep him, love him and care for him but they all also realized they no longer wanted to live in danger daily in fact they wanted to retire to raise their family in peace but who to take over is the question, will they retire, will they have more children, will the world leave them be, and above all will they find their own peace, happiness and love?.

This book is the conclusion to the Dark Kings series. At the end of the last book Dante had been shot. Luckily, he's still alive. Valentina, Ares, Nico, and Dante are still searching for her cousin Mario. Valentina surprises her men by owning her power and taking control. This book also further explores the feelings and relationships they all have for one another more. These guys are known for being tough out on the streets but are very sweet and protective of Valentina. The last book Valentina told the guys she didn't want to start a family right away but they come across a baby and must decide what to do with him. If you are a fan of these books you know the steamy type of relationships they have and this book doesn't disappoint. They also explore what their forever is going to look like. They also realized if none of them had experienced the pain early on in their lives they probably wouldn't have ended up together. I like the prologue showing what happened to all of them. Good ending to this series.

As far as final books for a trilogy goes, this is top notch. Nikki Rome has proven time and again that she understands how to write real characters and address real life problems, even in they are done in exaggerated and dramatic ways, as is fitting. This final book in the trilogy was fantastic. We learn more about what Mario has been up to, we address the various issues between the characters, and we move towards a future that is fitting for the whole group.
This is a really exciting book, and series, and I have loved this ride from start to finish. I hadn’t read anything by Nikki Rome before, but now she is on my list of favorite authors that I will be sure to get ahold of everything I can from her.
While I’m not sure this would count as a spoiler, some people might feel it does, so I’ll mark it accordingly.
~~~~Possible Spoiler Ahead~~~~
I will be honest, I often have issues with the whole marriage and babies plan for women, as if they aren’t capable of a more creative future; but when it comes to this group, I’m not sure anything could be more satisfying and fulfilling as building their own family, in whatever form it takes.
5 ⭐️s= Perfect story, exciting, engrossing, well developed complex characters, solid plot with few to no holes, descriptive environments and place settings, great mystery elements, realistic dialogue, believable reactions and behaviors, loved this story so much I’d buy it.
4 ⭐️s= Great story, highly entertaining and enjoyable, exciting storyline, well developed characters and settings, a few discrepancies but nothing that can’t be overlooked. Believable actions and reactions, realistic dialogue, a book I would consider buying.
3 ⭐️s= Good but not great story, noticeable discrepancies, grammatical and or spelling errors, undeveloped characters or unbelievable behaviors but still readable. Nothing majorly wrong with the story, just not interesting enough for me to continue. Would not buy the book.
2 ⭐️s= Not offended by the story, but not interested enough to finish. Unbelievable characters, poor writing, many mistakes, big holes or discrepancies, many spelling or grammatical errors, characters not believable, unlikeable or TSTL.
1 ⭐️= Offensive, extremely poor writing, horrible characters, victimization, gaslighting, blatant abuse, unnecessary violence, child endangerment, or any other highly objectionable behaviors by Main characters. Would never buy this book, and do not recommend it to anyone.
Cliff's notes: - Valentina's cousin, Mario tries to kill Dante but fails - Valentina is kept away from the Kings while they hunt down Mario - Valentina thinks Dante is dead and steps up as Queen and doing her own hunting without them. She's a badass - The find Mario and a baby - They torture Mario and find out the baby was some random hooker's kid that he hooked up with and killed - They decide to keep baby and name him King - Alessia, Nico's ex with mental issues that befriended Valentina in Sicily comes to NY as planned - They decide to get out of the business and see if Alessia wanted to take over their business - She agrees and they spend a couple of years transitioning everything to her. - Epilogue - 12 yrs later and they Valentina is preggo with baby #7 so they are still growing their family and have King - HEA
I enjoyed this series but it wasn't one of my favorite ones that I would tell a friend they HAVE TO READ. I know they are shorter books but they seemed to speed through the "danger" parts and also the kinky stuff. Yeah we got some of Dante's domination and a very little of Ares rope & electrostimulation kinks but not enough to make it seem like that was their big thing. Not upset at the book but just wanted a little more.
The Dark Kings are taking us on our final journey and it does not disappoint! There’s secrets, violence, forgiveness, suspense, quite possibly love? And maybe more!
We pickup right where the meeting with Mario leaves off, Dante is shot after the meeting. You’ll have to trust the process & the guys through everything. Trust I was mad as all get out but I totally get the thought, but I wish they’d include Valentina in their plans. It’s the typical, well protect you but not tell you, BUT our girl doesn’t deal with that. She takes charge and start negotiations of her own, get ‘em girl!
I don’t want to give anything away, but Nikki really pulled together the story amazingly. She gave us answers, new doors opened up for other stories maybe? I’m also loving how she wrote in Valentinas revenge with her cousin Mario!
Can’t wait to read what other amazing book she’s going to write!.
How have we reached the end of the Dark Kings already?! These books were so much more than I ever thought possible. Everything from the storyline to the writing was perfectly executed and flawless, I loved it. To watch each characters growth, especially Valentina who really came into her own was so empowering and a privilege to witness. I felt she’d finally found her voice and stood up for what she wanted, she owned it. The epilogue was everything and ended things off perfectly. I can’t wait to see what this author brings out next, her writing and stories are addictive and I know it’s going to be great!
Picking up right where book two left off, WRATH is about avenging the wrongs committed by Valentina’s cousin Mario.
I liked that Valentina came into her power, not only over the three men, but also her power as a partner to them in their mafia endeavors.
As a reverse harem romance, I found it more interesting that there was already a family in the men and that they had been preparing for Valentina to become theirs long before she knew the three were waiting for her.
The ending is really good but might have been fun to see how some of the children came into the world.
People feared my men, but that was only because they hadn’t seen what I, Valentina Romano, was capable of. Torn apart by unfulfilled promises, hatred, and betrayal, I was done being a puppet in the games these men played. I once considered him family, a close friend when I had no one else. Now he dared to ruin everything I had, everything we built, and for that he would die. This was an intriguing story. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
The conclusion to the Dark Kings was amazing. The twist and turns, the family drama, and the spice 🥵. I really enjoyed these three books. The relation Valentina had with each of the men was special in their way. She was the calm to the storm. She was the Queen in their Kingdom. I need Dante, Ares, and Nico in my life and I wouldn’t want to meet Valentina in a dark alley. Nikki hit out of the park with all three books.
So all the Kings Dante, Ares and Nico are trying to find Valentina’s cousin that thinks he killed Dante. He has a death wish and Valentina will not stand for it. She wants it handled for good and she’ll do it but what she also finds is a baby. Now what to do with that baby is a shocker but not really since there’s so much love in the 4 of them nothing can bet that. Great ending.
This series was overall decent, but there were a few things that I just did not vibe with. I'm glad to see that Valentina finally got a backbone, but the guys' logic about a couple of things was just...confusing, considering that they're literally mafia men. Like...you don't want her threatening to end someone, why? I thought that was a Very Large part of your job...?
Anyway, objectively, it was a decent read. On a personal note, I just don't think this trilogy was the right fit for me.
This has been an incredible series and wrath is how it all ends, there was less action in this book, we got a lot of the answers and to finality to those who were after them and a few major surprises helped end this book in such a perfect way.
It seemed rather slapped together and the end was very rushed.Ares never really got much of a story.Most of the back story and details were all about Nico.As a whole ,the series is good.This last book just tied things up too quickly and explanations seem too convienant.
I love the series of books I read. Nico, Ares, Dante have their hands full from sweet baby girl. She is as deadly as the guys. She loves them dearly. The story is graphic in it's violence. But it makes the feel like their there. Great storyline! Excellent characters and books.
The baby part of this book with Mario was definitely not my favourite lol. I enjoyed how ruthless she was becoming in finding her place but then it all was for naught since they brought on Alessia.. another plot part I found kinda lame. Like I get but it just wasn’t the ending I was expecting I guess. Ares really stepped up in the kink department tho that was fun.
Wrath: A Dark Revenge Mafia Romance (The Dark Kings Book 3) By Nikki Rome. Valentina Romano The conclusión was not what I expected but loved it The Dark Kings series. It’s steamy story . Revenge is bittersweet, loving, brutal…I enjoyed this series an recommend it…
I have read the3 books and every on of them was brilliant... Giving pass and present of each of your characters and loved the plot as they drag from one to another... I truly enjoyed each of the Kings... Cheers
The ending is perfection. Truly. And the character development of Val is almost everything I could want for her. This series is a work of art, and I was so hooked, I'll definitely be in a reading slump to process.
I found this series by chance and it did not disappoint. Omg I fell In love with all these men. This series had it all ... I will be reading more from nikki
