This is the first book in The Dark Kings series buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously story 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, arranged marriage, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe love.
Once you start this reverse harem you won’t stop even when you know you have things to do so by the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!

Valentina’s life hasn’t been easy living with a father who didn’t always treat her well especially when she didn’t do what she was told often times putting in a small room like a cell most of her childhood she has her way of coping, she was promised as a young girl to one man who was expected to come for her at the age of 18 but he never showed now at 21 years old her father was going to give her to a vile human being in the form of a man older enough to be her father, who had six wives already he did unthinkable things to them even killing half of them and this is who her father intended for her (yep father of the year award …yeah absolutely not) currently he has her locked in her cell with two guards outside the door until the evening she hears gun shots, heavy feet running towards her cell door and hiding as she did as a child under bed making herself as small as possible in attempts to protect herself realizing she was nothing more than a pawn in her father’s game and marriage to the vile man would make them stronger together to over throw the kings of NY. Dante, Ares, Nico all sexy as all get out kings coming for their promised queen, just as he enters her cell there is one vile man who just made her handcuff herself then drugged her, but he wasn’t trusting anyone to the job he and his two best friends alone would do the job ensuring they get what was promised to them. But they didn’t expect a sickly women yet still beautiful she was too tiny, like they starved her, everything she went through Dante blames himself for not getting her when he was supposed considering the deal between his father and her father and he refused to put her back in a cell so Ares is going to get her cleaned up and put to bed in her room so basically she left an ugly cell room to be put in a pretty cell room but a prison none the less. Now each one of our boys have their own personality starting with Dante who is the boss the one everyone listen to also the last one other come to if they can’t reach the other two, Nico well he is a tad bit crazy …okay to be truthful he is a whole lot of crazy add to that rage and enough it to share with a lot of the people but his passion, protection for those he love has no bounds, and Ares he is the gentle protector but sick in his own way each of these men love their girl, each of them feel guilty for the mistreat she has endured forcing her to cut herself just to feel anything and each of them have their way of dealing with it and each of them will protect her to the very end now to show, teach their girl how much they love her. From the moment Dante was told she was his that made her theirs as well although Nico is crazy when he is with Valentina his touch is so gentle she calms a lot of the rage in him, Ares the peace maker between of the three of them from what I read the most level headed when it came to his girl and then we have the head Dante who is still trying to deal with the guilt, the hurt of her father not letting her go as promised and keeping control of his two brothers isn’t going to be easy but their girl calms them each in a different way, each of them will die to ensure she is safe, and each one of them love her beyond all measure considering she has never really been loved but is it enough will she fight them for her freedom or will she realize they are her freedom, will they allow her to be herself, reach her dreams, have they started a war by taking her if will she get caught up in the war, is there going to be happiness for the four of them and will she learn to love all four of her men?.

I am voluntarily leaving this review. Be prepared for a lot of steam! This book will have you hooked from page one! This reverse harem gives you the POV from all four people, lots of chemistry and the right amount of drama/suspense. This does leave you on a cliffhanger but it is well worth it.
I love how all three men are so protective of Valentina and how they each have a little pet name for her. The most ruthless men of New York each have their different pasts that helped shape them into the men that they are, but the love that they each have for Valentina is unique in their own way. I loved how Valentina found her strength and courage to be the queen they needed. Let’s just hope that as this story unfolds, her kings will be ruthless and strong enough to save her.
I can’t wait to read more of this story and learn more about Nico’s twisted past that has shaped him up to be who he is, to see if Ares finally gets his turn with Valentina and to see if Dante has found a love like his grandfather in the woman the woman he was promised to years ago but had to take himself when that promise was broken.

Dangerously Hot
Lust is book 1 in The Dark Kings series and Nikki did not disappoint. We have been introduced to the Dark Kings (Dante, Ares & Nico) in previous books. They are Mafia and everyone fears them.
Valentina was promised to Dante when she was eighteen but it took him three more years to come and rescue her and when he did it was with the promise of her being with all three of them. She would never need to feel fear again while these three men were by her side.
This was a fantastic start to the trilogy which ended on a cliffhanger so I can't wait to jump into book two to continue this journey.

Okay, so wow. Nikki Rome brings it ALL with the Dark Kings. Lust sets the pace at a rocketing tempo with hot and heavy action from the opening scenes. The Kings are all dreamy, vicious, powerful and gifted killers - with remarkable skills in the sensual arts department too. Our female MC is young, innocent but smart and has street sense beyond her years. She’s going to be a good one to carry a lot of the story I suspect through subsequent books. Warning: ends in a cliffhanger!.

One super hot 🥵 and 🌶️ spicy story
Valentina has grown up being a pawn for her dad’s devious business dealings, but when her dad goes back on the deal with Dante, he decides to take back what he was promised. Dante and his best friends Nico and Ares go to retrieve her and dish out some very rough justice when they find her chained in the basement. When she wakes up in Dante’s house, she quickly discovers that she won’t just be with Dante, but with his best friends and have a chance at happiness that would shock people. The book is loaded with super spicy flaming hot kink. And three men to make you melt. Was definitely not expecting the amount of heat or twists and will definitely keep reading this series.

Took a chance on the reverse harem and it didn’t disappoint. Absolutely, hands down love Dante, Nico and Ares. Fast pace from page one til the end. True mafia alpha boss. 3 men and one woman. A must read. Does end in a cliffhanger and can’t wait to read book 2.

i usually hate picking favorites but nico oh my god 🥹 the unhinged one with a dark past are always my favorite and nico stood out i swear! i could tell deep down that he wishes he wasn’t like how he is and it makes me wanna sob

Holy smokes! This book! This was one steamy read that held me captive not just whilst reading but still days after finishing.
I'm desperate to spend more time in this world, it's insane and I'm not afraid to admit I'm addicted.
I cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of the Dark Kings series. These men are something else!
I have a feeling I've not seen anything yet and that is exciting in the best possible way.

This book's title is definitely perfect. There is so much 🌶 that you won't want to put this book down from the start. I love that we get a multi POV so we can see the inner monologue not only of the FMC Valentina but of the guys too. Dante, Ares, Nico are the ruthless kings of New York, and these guys don't mess around!
Valentina was promised at 18 for an arranged marriage but years later she was set to be married to a man who's old enough to be her dad and a horrid humanbeing. Her father is an abusive man, and most of her life is kept in a small cell like a caged animal. After she is rescued by the guys, she's put in a beautiful room, but it's locked from the outside so it's still a "cage", just a gilded one this time.
Luckily the men she’s now with just want her safe, there’s a lot going on that she doesn’t know about just yet. Even though she was prepared to take Dante (she was originally only promised to him) as her husband and the dutiful mafia wife.
Dante is the broody man in charge, he scowls, and is very strict. But he’s very caring in his own way & doesn’t want to overwhelm Valentina.
Nico, our damaged man, who’s got so much anger his brothers try and keep him on a leash with Valentina. Even though he’d never hurt her, he’s just a brute of a man.
Ares, our calm, cool, collected, peace maker. He’s the one who took care of her and will do whatever he can to protect her.
These are morally grey men, who in their own way love & protect what’s theirs. I can’t wait to see what book 2 brings, we’ve got a 7/10 on the cliff hanger scale. This isn’t like the mafia books you’ve read before it’s different with all the characters and the drama that comes with it.

Valentina & The Dark Kings (Dante, Ares, & Nico). I devoured this book and loved every second of it.
Dante - the head of the Corsetti family. He is quiet brooding controlling dominant one.
Ares - the man on the street for the family. He was the personable one covered in tattoos (he had his own shop).
Nico - he's the crazy one. The only person that kept Nico's crazy/demons at bay was Valentina.
Valentina - when we first meet her she is weak and meek. She was hiding in the corner of the "cell" her dad had locked her in. At 16 her dad had struck a deal with Dante's dad that she would marry Dante when he turned 18. Shockingly, both Dante and Valentina wanted to marry each other but his father was killed right around her turning 18 and he had to handle all the fall out. He didn't come for her like he was supposed to.
Even though she was to marry Dante, the guys came as a package deal. All 3 of them were in love with her. We weren't really given a lot of backstory that would have everyone loving her and needing her so much. I'm not sure if that comes in a follow up or if we're just supposed to accept that these 3 hot AF guys have been waiting for years to finally get her (oh and pining for her in the meantime).
There was a slight hiccup when the Kings show Valentina the video of the night they rescued her. Dante had shot her father in the head and killed him. She was a little sad because that was her father but he was a horrible man that locked her in a cell in the basement and was going to sell her off to a known cruel head of another family. She lost her shit when she watch Nico go axe murderer with a kitchen cleaver on the cook in the kitchen. Seems the cook was the one Valentina was closest to because she would sneak her food and taught her to cook.
Valentina pulls away to process the recorded shit show but ultimately forgives because she's already falling in love with all 3 of them.
We are left with a cliffhanger when she is taken by her cousin and some chick everyone thought was dead. Easily on to the next book.

This is a fabulous mafia romance and the story line was awesome from beginning to end. The characters personalities in the book really sucks you in and you could feel the sexual tension from each of the main characters. Nikki Rome has written another brilliant book and I'd highly recommend the story to anyone who enjoys mafia romances.

Very good but very dark
I liked how the 3 male characters are all very different from each other.Each serves a different role in the relationship with the female lead.This story is not Mafia lite.It is bloody,brutal and portrays the men involved in stark vivid harshness.Nico is especially disquieting.This book will bother more sensitive readers.The violence when they rescue her from her father's house is very brutal,described in detail.Know that this book,and probably the entire series,is graphic,explicit and intense.There were quite a few sentences with missing words that I had to fill- in - the- blanks in my mind to have it make sense.Those were easy to ignore and figure out,but better editing would have helped.I am now starting book 2, Envy.This book Lust is very good,but not for everyone.

Listen I am all for dark & twisted- this isn’t dark & twisted. I love RH that are forced proximity- but this was planned- and she was given and ultimatum-
They aren’t far apart in age but the one dude refers to her a “little girl” or “‘my little girl”-
The seggs scenes are I’m not sure there is a word for it- I mean they’re there- but there was no build up-
It seems like the author wanted to dive in to Dom/Sub but didn’t do enough research
She’s a SH’er and they won’t let her but will do it to her-

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the beginning of a rh mafia romance between Valentina and her men. Dante is who she was once promised to but now Ares and Nico are there as well. Men have confined Valentina her entire life. These three dangerous men want her confined with them to cherish and protect. There is plenty of steamy in the book but also enemies, danger, violence, friendship and love. I am looking forward to what happens in the next book of the series. This is not a standalone so be prepared.

The background story started in the novella GREED with rival mafia’s holding auctions for woman and other trafficking. The Dark Kings are no choir boys, but they draw the line at exploitation of women and girls. Valentina’s father was running the operation.
Be prepared for a hot, steamy time in The Dark Kings’ mansion. The cliffhanger was not too much of a surprise, but when will these characters learn not to go to the restroom in a club?

This book is so good!
The brilliant connection between Dante and Valentina was just wonderful. Almost obsessive, Valentina with the guys. She doesn't know which way to turn but works it out with a soft spot for Dante.
Well written, Nikki Rome is a wonderful story teller. Her characters come off the page and certainly she keeps me captivated.

Dante, Ares and Nico are the three and when Valentina was rescued they want her for all of them to share. She was confronting her cousin when she was taken out of the club that the Dark kings own. They are so lost now and want answers and find her.

Valenitina was promised as a child to Dante to unite two families but when he comes to claim her hes not alone he has his brothers Nico and Ares too. This steamy hot RH is book 1 and ends in a cliffhanger. The story has you hooked from the start.

What a great short story read.
It’s short enough to read during the day at work, long enough that your not left wanting more, Spicy enough you need to make sure your boss dosnt read over your shoulder and captivating enough to make you forget your at work.
Only issue is, it’s so good you end up buying the next book lol

Meh. It was okay
This was a good attempt. The spelling, grammar, and editing issues were extremely jarring and tore me out of the story. The characters aren't really developed and neither is the world building. The steam is okay, but the scenes seem to be over before they've really begun. Like I said... it was a good attempt.

This book brings the steam, hooks you from page one. Valentina is SO LUCKY! You will know what I mean if you read this book. Dante and Nico were honestly my favorite but I also loved Ares still. I recommend reading this book.

This book is crazy good, but I have gotten used to the stories I have read. As crazy as it is, it is one of my favorite series. I can't say much & give it away. But it is a must-read.

This story has so many levels to it and they combine in a good way. You would think the main character would hate her captors/lovers but she doesn’t or does she. I have to read the next book to find out
