Belladonna has always cared more for beasts and creatures than people. How could she not when she sees the cruelties of humanity every day while working? She’s plenty ready to take on the poachers who dare enter Yellowstone, but nothing could prepare her for a portal opening and dropping her into another world.
The Grimm Forest is full of dangers but perhaps none are as threatening as the man who finds her. Gruff in demeanor and prone to fury more than any other emotion, Captain Bluebeard is a beast of a man. With a curse upon him and too many worlds trying to merge together, Bell doesn’t know how to handle it all. Her growing attraction is a nuisance, for sure, but the hidden room in Bluebeard’s castle might destroy everything.
Villains are breaking free and fighting for power. Snow White and her seven demons are leaving destruction in their wake. Bell knows the captain can help the worlds if he’d just try, but the curse weighs heavy on the bitter man. Falling for Bluebeard would doom her but refusing to see his light might doom the universe.
Kendra Moreno is secretly a spy but when she’s not dealing in secrets and espionage, you can find her writing her latest adventure. She lives in Texas where the summer days will make you melt, and southern charm comes free with every meal. She’s a recovering Road Rager (kind of) and slowly overcoming her Star Wars addiction (nope!), and she definitely didn’t pass on her addiction to her son (she did). She has one hellhound named Mayhem who got tired of guarding the Gates of Hell and now guards her home against monsters. She’s a geek, a mother, a scuba diver, a tyrannosaurus rex, and a wordsmith who sometimes switches out her pen for a sword.
If you see Kendra on the streets, don’t worry: you can distract her with talks about Kylo Ren or Loki. #LokiLives #BringBackBenSolo

Oh my gahd, hit it out of the park, I'm in awe with Kendra on how she remembers every character from maah on out and keeps them themselves in every POV she writes, the struggles each are going through, still writing the red line in all books and creating the new storyline in this case for Bluebeard and Bell. Bluebeard poor blue, that man has a rough go of it, and then his worse fear came through but there was Jupiter and she finally nailed it and got it!
I feel so bad for Rumple the poor guy can't catch a break. Here's to hoping he will get his hae in book 3. Can't wait to get my hands on that one
Wow! Where do I even begin with this book? I loved the dark, grumpy, broody character of Bluebeard. I loved Bell's determination and spirit. And to see how these two grew throughout the story. Their backstories made me love them more. I loved the spin on Beauty and the Beast.
There was a lot of action and adventure throughout the book. I had trouble putting it down!
We did get to revisit with several familiar faces from Wonderland, Neverland and Oz. The bonds between these characters continues to grow stronger.
I loved the story of Bluebeard and Belladonna. I had never heard the story of Captain Bluebeard before and looked it up. I think it is amazing how Kendra took that story and changed it to make it her own while keeping the key details. My heart was hurting for the Captain by the end of the story. The side characters in this book were amazing my favorite had to be Logan, Bell's pet wolverine. Morris was adorable and I hope he gets a HEA as well, and as always I loved getting to see into the lives of the past book characters from Wonderland, Neverland and Oz.
My God this book is so good that I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!! Belladona is such a great characters and Blue is a great lord!! I loved to see our friends from other books so present, some helping Rumple to find Eva, some back in their own worlds and some helping Blue and Bella. For the first time in don't know how many books I didn't get mad at Kendra. One thing I really enjoyed was Bella's sense of humor, poetry (yes, poetry) and her snarky comments!!!
This is Book two on Lord’s of Grimm series! Kendra has a way to bring uniqueness, heart and realness to her retellings and this series has been spectacular! The title lives up to its name and i found myself agreeing with him rightfully so! 💙 LOVED IT!!!
This was a pretty good continuation of the story. It was not the best by far, but it did have a few redeeming qualities that I liked.
1. Bell's character I loved Bell, she was so fun to read about. When we first got introduced to her, her story was interesting and her conflict with the poachers was well written too. Loved her personality, and it was really great to read about her interactions with the rest of the group. Her love story with Bluebeard was sweet, and I liked how there was the obstacle of the curse in the way of their happily ever after that they needed to face.
2. Snow White The issue with Snow is that she's written as a really evil person, but she hasn't really had the development that she needs. We know she's power hungry, but other than that, we haven't gotten much else. The heroes having really done anything to stop her rampage either, I feel these past two books have been pretty focused on the love story side of things, which is good, but I'd also want to see some action.
I also love the development that Jupiter's getting, and her challenge with her new power. Its interesting to see how she handles it.
Hopefully in the third book, we get some progression in the plot.
5 STARS!!!! One of my favorites so far! I've been waiting to read this one & I was not disappointed! As a child Bluebeard was one of my favorite stories in my big book of fairytales. The Magic Tinderbox was my other favorite. (If you havent read it, look it up). I've gotten a bit off topic so back the glowing review. This wonderful world that Kendra has created just sucks you right it & doesn't let go. I've been a fan since Mad as a Hatter & have been hooked every since. I loved Bell's bravery & I'm not gonna let your sassy attitude get me down, personality. No spoilers but once you've read it you will understand. Poor Bluebeard. What that character has had to go through is heartbreaking & Bell is the perfect fit to start the healing process. I loved Bell & Logan's relationship! It makes me want to go adopt one. I also want to adopt a Morris! He's such a great person! I hope to see more of him! Now onto see how the Huntsman fares...
This is second book of this series. Seriously these books get better and better every time. Fantastic story. I am so loving how all the other series intertwine. I think that my favorite part. Definitely recommend reading. So so good!!!
