He’s been waiting his entire life to lead, Finally, he’ll get the role he was born for. So long as they can keep a secret…
Erik Olsen is a prince on the cusp of becoming king. The ‘people’s prince’ of Svalvall, the would-be ruler wants to shake things up and bring his tiny arctic nation onto the global stage. But with his father insistent that he follow the time-honored traditions, their relationship is more strained than ever.
When the king suggests that another member of the royal bloodline is being considered as successor, the prince knows he must play the part of unquestioning rule-follower for a little while longer. The last thing he needs is a scandal…
So when American journalist Molly tells him that their night together resulted in a pregnancy, Erik decides to go to extreme measures to prevent the news getting out.
Thinking only of what’s best for her unborn child, Molly goes along with the prince’s scheme. But complications arise as she falls deeper for the man who keeps her in a gilded cage. She knows she must protect her heart, but the most important thing to her now is their royal, scandalous, unborn baby. Can she prove to Erik that there are some things more important than the crown?
Molly and Prince Erik will take you on an emotional roller coaster overflowing with secrets. He's destined to be King and to achieve that goal he must forgo this wild ways and adhere to the rules set forth by his father the King and the Kingdom. His night of passion with American journalist resulted in a pregnancy that would cause his succession to the crown to be derailed. She was a commoner and he went to great lengths to conceal her and the pregnancy. What happens when feelings deepen? Does he choose her and the baby over the crown? This was a quick and easy fun read with some angst and drama. The characters were likable and well developed. I read a free advance copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
a poorly written story from the start. if this story was set back at a different decade or a dystopian the dilemmas and writing would fit better. i had to dnf 1/4 way through
A fascinating story of the struggle between Prince Erik and his father, King of Svalvall. Erik was much more progressive in his thinking and believed he should be out among the citizens of his country talking to them being more approachable. The King felt it was important to stay with tradition, like the old saying "if it's not broke don't fix it". The King felt so strongly that he told Erik that if he did not fall into line and stop causing problems, the King would pick someone else to follow him, when he advocated soon. Erik knew he had to straighten up and agree with his father on everything or loose everything he had strived for over the years, but that meant telling the reporter he had promised the interview to no. Out of common courtesy, he met with Molly Tanner telling her, he could not do the interview but not why. Molly was not the normal reporter, she took the news well and agreed not to report anything bad about the Prince. They ended up making a connection going on to an ice bar and later spending some time alone at her hotel. Five months later Erik accidentally ran across Molly in Italy discovering that she was pregnant. Only to sneak her into the Svalvall Palace attempting to keep her hidden until after the coronation. Enjoy this wonderfully written book to see how all the many, many twist and turns threw out the story end.

Prince Erik has been giving interviews about what he would like for his country. His father is upset about them and tells him not to do anymore. Molly is waiting for him because she's there to interview him. However, nothing goes to plan, and she doesn't get the interview. They do end up going out one night and sharing an amazing night together. The next day he was gone, and she was off to another job. Its not too long after that she finds out that she is pregnant. She decides to go it alone but runs into the Prince at a gala she is at. What will he do when he learns about the baby? Can they be together?
This is an amazing story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

3.5⭐ I feel like it was a little rushed. Do I like rushed books? Yes! Was this, one of those? Nope! The story was interesting with likeable characters but sometimes they were really confusing. I feel like the plot was lacking. I am not a big fan of pregnancy trope. It usually pressures the relationship into becoming something it wouldn't normally have, just so the child would grow into a "happy family". Some pregnancy trope books I read, didn't make me feel the pressure, but this one definitely did.
Would I recommend this book? Surprisingly yes, overall the book was a fascinating roller coaster of emotions filled with secrets and sprinkled with royalty drama. This book had a lot of interesting topics that I wished they were discussed more in depth. I would love to read a book by this author but a little longer.
Prince Erik Olsen is soon going to become king of Svalvall. His father is strongly into following tradition and obeying rules. With another member of the royal bloodline also a possible choice for king due to Erik’s poor behavior choices in public, Erik must not bend even one rule. Scandal would ruin his chances completely.
But Erik had a one-night-stand with American journalist Molly Tanner, and she now tells him she is pregnant with his child. He must keep this a secret! Trying to have it all, he again makes a questionable decision. What lengths will he go to so that no one finds out? Will he ever realize that maybe his new family should be even more important to him than a kingship?
A Right Royal Pair - It was meant to be one night of unbridled pleasure between Erik and Molly, but it ended up being the beginning of their forever. It was heartwarming watching their relationship blossom and the way they put the interest of the child before their own interests. This was a super entertaining to read, that I think needs to be recommend to anyone looking for a great book to indulge in. This book is definite must read.

Holly Rayner made me work for this one. I'm ususally finished with her books within a day so I'm not sure what made this one linger on a bit longer. I didn't really get into the story until about 15% of the book but I have to say Molly and Erik certainly kept each other guessing. In this one, the royals had some smoke and mirror type stuff going on behind the scenes that made themselves known in a rather loud way!! Wasn't a fan of the cover on this one...looks kinda, ummm, creepy???.

Prince Erik had a lot on his shoulders he was about to become the crowned King, but yet again, his father was disappointed. Erik had ideas about he he wanted to rule his kingdom, but his father was old fashioned and didn't like any of his ideas. Molly Tanner is a writer wherever she has to go for a story she is there. Upon arriving in a Kingdom, nobody had really heard of she was due to interview Prince Erik. How will the interview go will her and Erik get together or are they too different. Highly recommend
An entertaining, enlightening story about what started as one night of unbridled pleasure between Erik and Molly, but was really the beginning of their forever. This is a heartfelt story with lots of emotional conflict and soul searching as their relationship changes, deepens and grows as they put the interests of their child before their own.
It's full of unexpected circumstances, surprises and misunderstandings and I loved every minute I spent reading it.
I think the plot has potential, however the book itself is far too rushed, it moves so quickly without any context of how much time has passed which makes their relationship not all the believable. It was a fun read for the most part, it was a good way to fill in my empty time at work for the day but it wasn’t as compelling as I had hoped.
Erik and Molly An amazing story entertaining, enlightening, heartfelt and lots of emotional conflict and soul searching with unexpected circumstances, unpredictable surprises and misunderstandings. loved reading this.
