Skye Knight is a brilliant and beautiful paralegal, known for her sharp mind, detailed powers of observation and for exercising extreme caution when it comes to men. She is attacked in her own home by a crime lord who is seeking a rare gem, believed to have last been in the possession of Skye's now-deceased father. The attackers inform her they have also abducted her sister-in-law and niece. They demand that she find and return the gem to them within three days, and threaten to kill her family at the first sign of her contacting the authorities for help. With no one else to turn to, Skye seeks out a stranger she'd met by chance the evening before, a former Navy SEAL, now-jobless and down on his luck, to help her to find the gem and figure a way to save her niece and sister-in-law. And their adventure begins.

I am new to writing romance, though I have written professionally in the media world for over 15 years. My first published novel, Searching for Honor, went to #1 on the entire Amazon KindleWorlds network and held the position for three weeks.

When I'm not writing I am spending most of my time with family. With two children and two grandchildren my life is hopping.

I just celebrated my 40th wedding anniversary.

A suspenseful romance read that had action and mystery, told in 3rd person and unfortunately didn’t excite me. I couldn’t connect with the characters, they didn’t bring out emotions or feelings, it was as if they were acting in this story and were impassive. Dnf @ 68%.

Skye’s world is turned upside down during a hurricane when she has a chance meeting with a sexy stranger down on his luck, then returns home to find her house broken into. The bad guys who broke into her house work for a crime lord who thinks she knows the whereabouts of a rare gem and he’ll do whatever it takes to get his hands on it, including having his men kidnap her sister-in-law and niece and giving her an ultimatum – she’s got three days or he'll kill her family and come for her. She can’t go to the police so instead, she seeks out Tanner – her sexy stranger for help. Searching into her family’s past and history of the gem brings new questions and more danger, sending Skye and Tanner on a time-sensitive mission involving a game of cat and mouse with the bad guys. With time running out and all odds against them, Tanner calls in some old friends for backup. As important as Skye has become to him in such a short amount of time and with her family’s lives on the line, he’s not taking chances.

This story is adrenaline-fueled romantic suspense full of action, danger, and mystery. The characters are great and the storyline is intense. Skye is also combined with an array of characters from some of both Jacobson’s and Stoker’s other books.

Skye Knight meets what she thinks is a homeless man who turns out to be a friend of her uncle and a former Navy Seal who is on his way to Freeport for a job. When Skye gets attacked in her home by a group of men looking for a priceless gem who they think her deceased father had she goes to find Tanner to help her. Jesse has given us another great book with action, suspense, danger, mystery and we get to reconnect with Bootstrap from the Rainhorse books and we see Wolf and also Ethan from Eagle Point Search and Rescue.

A hurricane has Skye meeting stranger down on his luck. When she gets home she finds that her house broken into. The kidnapping of her sister in law and niece force her to seek help from the stranger – Tanner. Tanner calls in his friends to help with the rescue. In the short time they have known each other, there is a connection that makes them both want to stay together.

I love that characters Susan Stoker’s other books are involved once again. It is like catching up with old friends and family.

This another fab read by Ms Jacobson.

Skye is the main character when a crime lord attacks her in her home during a hurrican to get her to turn over an item she knows nothing about or how to find it but with her k her nice and sister in law held hostage she cannot fail.
A chance meeting with a navy seal down in his luck. Will be her only hope to help her.

JEWEL OBSESSION

A hurricane, an unlikely chance meeting, an unimaginable situation that involves very real threats and kidnapping, a burgeoning romance are all part of the race to feed one man’s obsession to possess the Blue Star, a huge, flawless, blue diamond.
Skye is a fast paced story that hooked me immediately and kept my attention to the very satisfying ending. The cameo appearances of several characters from previous books was fun.

Loved this book…

…my first book by Jesse Jacobson and will not be my last. The meeting of Skye & Tanner was quite by chance, however throughout the story they lives become entwined. Tanner is the well trained former Seal and Skye is a paralegal who can hold her own and both are tested by the people who have kidnapped her family members. The resulting sequence of events kept me intrigued and I couldn’t stop reading until the end. Highly recommend.

Another great read from this author who is great with a story line and adenture. There is plenty of danger, suspense and a HEA. When Skye is in trouble for something she knew nothing about, she turns to a stranger, a Navy Seal. Together they find all the clues to this mystery. Excellent read, no cliffhanger and a HEA.

Excellent!

I adored all novels about Rainhorse, he was special!
This novel is just as terrific!
Skye and Tanner are two incredibly strong individuals!
I loved that Skye was so strong! Tanner was her perfect compliment! Just as strong, but quiet, caring. All around wonderful man!
Very, very good storyline!

Simply put, bring on more!
Loved every moment!

An intriguing drama


In this story Skye and her family are in trouble, she turns to Tanner an ex-Navy SEAL for help. Unusual circumstances put them in harms way. Suspense and action with some twists. Great characters and some help from previous book characters of Susan Stoker. I loved the entire story!

it’s okay

I liked the story but at the end after hearing how much the h is good at observing and cool under pressure and then she wastes valuable time to try and stay w tanner when he’s continuously telling her to leave, when her family and 2 agents are in danger waiting to drive away w her but she is whining she doesn’t want to be apart from him. It seriously was so bad

Loved this book. Jesse brings i characters fron susan stokers World, but also Jim and julie from the rainhorse novels. For a minute there i was hoping to see rainhorse. This is a must read.
