This is book four of the Cooper Brothers in Alaska and tells the story of Rowan Cooper and Lilly Barns. Lilly is an architect, working and living in Seattle specialising in designing mountain cabins, whilst Rowan was in the army until his mother’s sudden death and returned home with the rest of his brothers, and now works as a dog musher. She has come home to Stony River for a break and to enter a dogsled race, but ands up getting her car stuck in a ditch just outside town. She calls Rowan, rather than his brother who she went out with as a teen, and he comes to help her and drops her off at her cabin. She has no idea that he always had a crush on her as a teen, but she never knew. He knew about his brother and her all those years ago! When she catches sight of him, she can see how much he has grown up and matured, into a very fit and handsome man. He is still the quiet one, yet different now. He seems to like the same things she does and they meet up the next day for the pairings to be announced for the race. A local is always paired with a visitor and he is lucky to be paired with Lilly. She has obvious experience in dogsled racing and he allows her to run the last lap of the race, especially since he keeps making mistakes every time he looks in her direction, getting distracted by her beauty. His crush on her hasn’t disappeared and in fact is even stronger now. After the race, they arrange to meet up in the evening and she meets loads of his brothers again. Cameron makes fun of Rowan and his crush on Lilly, but he doesn’t take it the same way. All his brothers are now with the woman they love and his is the only single brother now. He would love to make something permanent happen with Lilly, but her work and life are in Seattle, too far away, and his dog mushing can’t exactly be done anywhere! The next day he has to meet with family for their traditional family meal together, but wants to see Lilly again and finds her leaving. She has realised it would be far too easy to fall for him and that her heart really is in the mountains of her home, as is her main work focus. But she can’t see how it could work when they live so far apart. Rowan will do whatever he can to prove to her how much he loves her and that he wants to be with her forever. He doesn’t want to push her, knowing her life is elsewhere, but maybe she can find a compromise. Have to wait and see with this one, as the path of true love must navigate a few rocks thrown into the flow of the river of life. Another Cooper brother has found his perfect match in this short romance. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Rowan is the story of an Alaskan mountain man reuniting with his childhood friend and crush Lilly. Even though she hooked up with his brother as a teenager, that hasn’t changed his feelings for her. Now she’s home to take part in a dog sled race and it’s an opportunity to see what could be. The only problem is that she doesn’t live in Alaska anymore. Would she want to take a chance on a relationship or are they only destined for this one time hookup?
I enjoyed the characters of this book and the story. Rowan is a sweet and attractive guy who’s keep his love for his childhood friend. Lilly is a successful architect with dreams of starting her own firm. Together they are sweet and steamy. The issues that I had with this book was that it felt rushed. I enjoy short romances and getting all the feels in a less than one hour read. This felt more rushed than that in the story. I think a little more detail could have been added and still have kept it a quick read. Even with that I did enjoy this book and plan on reading more from this author.

Two childhood friends Lilly Barns and Rowan Cooper's paths devided when she left Stony River but now she has returned to compete in the Dog Sled Race but ends up with car trouble and calls the closest person she had in Stony river- Rowan Cooper.....
Rowan always had the biggest crush on Lilly but never thought she would feel the same towards him as she hooked up with Cameron..... until she returns to Stony River.....
Their attraction and chemistry is instant but Lilly will soon be returning to Seattle to carry working as an architect which will leave Rowan reeling.....
Will Rowan be able to convince the love of his life she belongs with him in Stony River? Will Lilly let Rowan slip through her fingers to pursue her career?.....
Lilly was raised in Stoney River then moved to Seattle where she works for an architectural firm. She came back to Stoney River, feeling the mountains drawing her home, to compete in the dogsled races. On the way into town, a fox ran in front of her, causing her to swerve sharply and her car stalls. Not sure who to call when she can’t get it started again, she contacts her friend, Rowan.
Rowan has had a crush on Lilly for a long time. He is the youngest of the brothers and was a bit shy back then. They find out they are both in the race, and he gets paired with Lilly, the “tourist”. When they win the race, they spend a few nights together and Rowan gets enough courage to tell her how he feels. Will Lilly walk away to return to her job in Seattle? Or will she feel the same way Rowan does and choose to stay in Stoney River to make a life with him?
This book is about Lilly and Rowan. It had been a while since Lilly had been to Stony River, and she’s now returned for the dogsled race. Her car stalls on the side of the road as she heads into town, and she calls Rowan her childhood friend, to help her out. They both notice the physical changes in each other, and their mutual attraction is undeniable. But with her history with his brother, who will be willing to make the first move?
It was a fun, quick story, with some really sweet and steamy moments. I did however feel like it ended too quickly and abruptly. I really wanted to find out what happens next. But maybe we’ll get an update in Faye and Damien’s story next. I give this book four stars.

Lilly and Rowan had grown up together in the same town and had been friends before she moved away. Rowan had always had a major crush on Lilly even though she had been involved with his brother at the time. Now she is back and looking better than ever. This time Rowan doesn't want to miss the opportunity to win Lily over. Upon seeing Rowan, Lilly is smitten. They enter a dog sled race together and win. Lilly is only supposed to be there for a week and then return home to her job, but Rowan doesn't want her to leave. Can he find a way to convince Lilly to stay and start a life with him? Loved this book. A hot, steamy romance filled with humor, a little suspense, and a lot of love. I highly recommend this book.

Rowan has had feelings for his best friend Lilly for years, only she doesn't know it because Rowan is shy. But when they meet again when Lilly returns to her hometown, he has a chance to let them know how he feels about Lilly. Whether he will succeed, you will find out when you read the book yourself, it is very worthwhile, it is a nice book but also a great series.

Rowan has had a thing for his best friend Lilly since they were kids but he never told her. Now they are older and she is back in Stoney River to compete in the annual dogsled race and the spark is still there. This is a short second chance love story between two former best friends who become so much more to each other. I loved these two for each other and how love found them when they least expected it. This is book four and a great addition to the Cooper Brothers in Alaska series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Lilly is back in town for a race. When she gets in stuck she calls Rowan. Rowan comes and is so glad to see Lilly. He has secretly crushed on her since they were little. Lilly and Rowan are partnered together for the race, then spend time together. Rowan wants her to stay in Alaska. They both feel the draw to each other. This is a short but fun read. The characters are wonderful and you could feel the pull. This is just a great story.

Rowan has always been in love with Lilly, so when he knows she is back, he is excited. Lilly is going back home because she wants to participate in a sled race. I didn’t find any depth in this story. Everything is too quick and not believable. I thought the sled competition was going to be exciting, but it was so quick that I didn’t see it. I liked how Rowan decided not to lose Lilly and I liked the Epilogue. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rowan and Lilly were childhood friends. He had a crush on her. But she had a fling with his brother in high school. Now she is an architect in Seattle. Now she is back in town for the sled dog race. She and Rowan are paired up for the race and they win. They both realize they are attracted to each other. They need to figure out how to be in the same location to build a life together. I enjoy this quick and sweet story.

Rowan was another awesome read in the Cooper Brothers in Alaska series by Emily Evans. Lilly has come home to Stony River to compete in the annual dogsled race. When she has car trouble she calls her best friend from childhood Rowan Cooper. The attraction between them is instant. Now that Lillt is back will Rowan admit he has crushed on her for years or will Lilly return to her life in Seattle? Great story.
Short and sweet with a bit of heat. Book four in the Cooper Brothers in Alaska series brings Rowan and Lily's story. The author moves the story quickly and smoothly with descriptive scenes as she brings love once again to a Cooper brother. I'm enjoying this series and am looking forward to the next book.

This is the 4th book in the Cooper Brothers in Alaska series, fast-paced and quick to read. This friends to lovers romance is fun and steamy. It can be read as a standalone story. Lilly returns to Stony River to take part in the dogsled race. She is immediately attracted to her childhood best friend and pretty soon they become inseparable.
The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Lilly and Rowan and does not let go. They have crushed on each other but never revealed their feelings for each other. When she returns to town for a sled race, will this be their chance to come clean?

A short sweet romance of finally getting the chance with his long ago crush. Fun characters as the brothers are always in each other’s lives either supporting or giving them a hard time. A good ending of Rowan calling out Lily on her actions wand making her think twice about the possibilities.

A Little Push Crushes, broken hearts and second chances! A quick read that has all of these and soo much more. Lilly is back in town and Rowan doesn’t know what to do with how he feels. Lilly is excited but it seems that luck is not her friend or is it? Dog races, family fun and chemistry that’s off the charts makes for a great read.
