It is with absolutely certainty that Ms. Steel can write no wrong. From the few books of hers I have read, they have been absolutely amazing and I have loved them all. This one being my favorite. Or maybe with each book they just get better and better. Because with this beginning, every bit of the juicy middle and that what the ever living hell ending-how could it not be my favorite?? I mean, I honestly don’t know where to start with the gushing.
I will say that I wasn’t overly happy with Jasmine at the start. Here I was thinking, Axel has made it abundantly clear this is a temporary situation for him, and her romantic heart didn’t seem to be listening. But as time went on, I finally saw what she must have been seeing all along. Our girl knew deep down Axel was more than what he claimed to be. Jasmine was just reading between the kisses and the special moments and seeing the what could be.
The romance was absolutely steamy and deliciously yummy. I was wondering if what we saw transpire between them at After Hours would continue throughout the entire book. But I was pleasantly surprised to see they made this relationship they had, their own with many wonderful and thoughtful moments. You could feel the emotions there even when Axel was adamantly denying them.
Beautiful but heart-stopping, THE ESCAPE was a well told and suspenseful romance. And while Axel and Jasmine get their happily ever after, it was a jaw dropping ending that was the perfect lead in to the next book. And guys, I am eagerly anticipating what is to come with that story. 5 Stars!!

Jasmine has been searching for her HEA for a cool minute, and unfortunately, she can't seem to find a good one to save her life. Axel is a single father who doesn't want anything to distract him from giving all his attention to his daughter so he's not even looking for anything serious. These two meet out of the blue & nothing really comes out of it until they find themselves both at After Dark, and they agree to just have fun while they're there. However, neither counted on the insane heat they generate together that always leaves them wanting more but they're fighting it that's for sure. If that's not complicated enough, there's danger lurking in the shadows waiting to strike which gives good suspense on top of all the heat. It kept me on the edge of my seat cover to cover as I watched it all unfold like I was there in person. I really enjoyed The Escape & certainly cannot wait for more as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This book was just so much fun to read. I really liked seeing them get to know each other and seeing them navigate their relationship. Their lives were very different so it was super fun to see them try to concele them together to have a life together. Also, the steamy scenes in this book were absolutely lovely and they always kept me engaged into reading the book due to how great they were.
On the surface this book sounds like it would be the perfect book for me and I really wish that I loved it more than I did. I just thought that the book was a little too dramatic for my personal taste which made it harder for me to get into the book.

When I read The Coach, I was blown away by A.K Steel, and now she has given us The Escape!! This story is HOT and SPICY, and I couldn't put it down!
I was excited to hear that we were getting Jasmine's story next, and trust me, she did not disappoint!
I love how A.K. Steel threw us a curve ball in each of the books! She adds the perfect amount of twists and turns, and she can definitely write SPICY scenes! This story checked all the boxes, and it was everything I needed and more.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I am absolutely LOVING the Harper Sisters series!

“The Escape” is a spicy and suspenseful story that has many layers that get peeled away as you read it.
Jasmine has been on the hunt for Mr. Right and has had no luck. She’s also struggling to pay her bills as the new practice she’s a part of finds its footing. While waiting for a client, she meets Axel who is there waiting for his daughter. The two have an instant connection but both are looking for different things. However, fate steps in one night and the two meet again for an escape both needed.
Overall, I did like this story. It took me until about 35% into the book to become invested in it because that is when the plot of the story started to come out. The first part was a lot of filler to get to know Jasmine and Axel. And I don’t want to say there were too many spicy scenes in the beginning but at one point, they felt unnecessary. Once I got past all of that, I was able to get into the suspense side of the story. Axel is a billionaire with an interesting background and an even more interesting family side. They definitely added the extra suspense to the story line. Jasmine starts off kind of meek but grows and evolves into a strong woman. We get a little sneak peek into the next Harper sister and what could possibly happen in her s

This book is hot, I loved the first three quarters and then it trailed off at the end for me. It was some of the decisions made and dialogue that just didn’t make much sense. Axel knowing what Ace was like, his violent history and manipulation said he would give Jasmine up to Ace if that’s what she really wanted…..wtf! It just didn’t make sense to me. Knowing Ace tried to blow up her house and had murdered someone, Axel would willingly let someone he loved go to be married to a mad man. The reason he let her go was to protect her and then would let her make a choice to marry a murderer.??
That part of the story ruined it slightly as it just didn’t fit. Also Jasmine taking a drink from the person that has just forced her in his vehicle…nope!
I did however love Axel and Jasmine’s love for one another, the first half of the book was my favourite, even though you could feel she would get her heart broken it kept me reading because of the way they loved each other.

I wasn't sure what to expect after the Coach, the first book in this series, but once again A.K. Steel produced another hot story and another Harper sister with her own story to tell at After Dark, a very exclusive club!
Two people in two different stages of their lives, Axel concentrating on his daughter and not wanting anything other than what he gets at After Dark and Jasmine who wants to whole 9 yards, a chance meeting sets the scene but they weren't expecting the chemistry that hits once After Dark surrounds them, Axel tries to remind himself not to get involved but the more nights at After Dark the more he wants in the daylight too, danger is lurking in that darkness and is not happy with what is unfolding between the pair, A.K. Steel wove a very good mystery to this hot compelling read, can't wait to see what sister can beat this one!

If you are looking for a hot and spicy romantic suspense book, I highly recommend this book. It has all the things you could ever want. Good girl offered the opportunity to be bad and then an absolutely scorching path to a HEA. Jasmine and Axel have this push and pull relationship. They both know it’s not what they want it to be, but they just can’t stop. Jasmine gets thrown into the middle of some crappy family dynamics that she knows nothing about. That makes the story that much more interesting. The chemistry between the two is out of this world. I also loved the relationship between Hendrix and Axel and how well they worked together and pushed each other. It was a beautiful display of a sibling relationship. All I can say no is go read this book! Different then the first in many ways but so good!

Wow!! I loved The Coach and had such high expectations for this book and it definitely didn’t disappoint at all.
Jasmine girl, you definitely aren’t the goody goody girl I remember from book 1, but Axel definitely gave her the confidence that she needed from a man especially after that date she had with the rando in the beginning. Axel Stone, oh boy he definitely was getting pushed to his limits with Jasmine but it also doesn’t help she’s a therapist so she can see a way around things.
I love the twist and turns this book contained which was no surprise after what we read in The Coach. I highly recommend reading the first book first then this because there are some references made which might confuse some people!
The only downside I had was that I didn’t have a cover for the book and the formatting was off but overall love this book.

Once again we got an absolutely amazing, super steamy and intense story by this great author. I was hooked from the first page and can’t wait to read more.
The chemistry between Axel and Jasmine was explosive from the start and I just loved them both. Jasmine wanted to find her perfect love and Axel just wanted something temporary to fill his needs and once they shared the perfect kiss it all changed. But Axel made a commitment to never marry and love again because there is too much of a rivalry between families who were once close. He must protect who he cares the most even if it cost him his one true love.
I loved this story so much and now I can’t wait for the next book in the Harper sister’s to come out ❤️

This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Axel and Jasmone’s story. Axel is a single dad to his daughter, and is a sexy billionaire, MMA fighter, who is not looking for relationships. Jasmine is smart, driven, and a perfectionist, who is looking for her perfect man. These two meets at the most unexpected place, and that is an exclusive sex club. The chemistry between Jasmine and Axel is combustible and undeniable, and they complement each other perfectly. But what will happen when Axel’s past comes back to haunt him? This is a well written story which has emotions, romance, suspense, intrigue, family, friendships, and love, which leads to a riveting page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I absolutely bloody love this series.

He's the typical grumpy millionaire but there's that niggling feeling that something isn't right?!
Jasmine is just so loving, caring and so very thoughtful.
What a tale of twists and turns!! I adore you're writing and the family that you have created.

Axel and Jasmine's story is filled with thrilling twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages. She is the good girl with high standards and hasn't found the man that comes up to her expectations until Axel but with him comes a lot of complications. Will they be able to navigate their path around them and to a happily ever after.

Jas and Axel have great chemistry and are hot, hot, hot! This story has lots going on that will keep you turning page after page eagerly. There's plenty of suspense going on and twists that keep you wondering what's next. You also get an ex-wife, ex-girlfriend, half-brother, new girlfriend and so much more. Thoroughly entertaining read that goes out with a BANG and a cliffhanger!!

There were a lot of elements to this story that I usually like but unfortunately there were issues I couldn’t overlook. Jasmine was one of the dumbest heroines I’ve ever read about. The way she acted didn’t fit with an adult who was a psychologist. I get they needed a reason for her and Axel to meet but her and Maeve needed therapy more than they should be providing it.

This is my second read by this author and i was soo invested that i finished this book in one set .
If you read the coach you know that you are in for a an amazing ride

My first read by AK steel and although i can’t explain what i expected i can say this story wasn’t it….
i loved it…. the steam, suspense and mystery of it all!
A brilliant plot that kept me intrigued. a real page turner !

After reading The Coach (book 1) I knew The Escape was going to be simply excellent.
To tell you that this book is perfect, there was just enough romance, humor, action and of course a alpha male.
Jasmine and Axel have this push and pull relationship. Their chemistry was explosive from the start and that's what makes them perfect for each other.
I love the Harper sisters ! Can’t wait to read the story of the next sister.
