Protecting Marisol

Rate this book
After years of professional and personal frustrations, Marisol Schaefer finally has the life she’s always wanted—well, almost. Though she’s riding high on the success of her romance novels, a real-life love affair seems out of her reach, at least until she has a chance encounter with a younger man at a neighborhood pub.

Wilder lived through a disastrous helicopter crash, but his marriage couldn’t survive the realities of wartime deployment. With his new position at Richards Security, he’s ready to start building his post-military life.

The two encounter each other at a neighborhood bar and spend the evening flirting but in the moment, neither makes a move to expand their interaction, something they both later regret. But Wilder’s new assignment is at the studio where Marisol is working on a new series, and the two are thrown together. Determined to keep things professional, they resist their growing attraction, but when threats to Marisol’s safety move from letters to physical confrontation, Wilder will risk his life to protect Marisol.

Josie Kerr is a transplanted West Texan living on the edge of semi-profoundly rural Georgia, a.k.a. the southernmost edge of the northernmost county in Metro Atlanta.

She has an M.Ed. in Secondary English Education, but discovered that she hated high school more the second time than she did the first, so she decided to meld her love of technology with her education background and became an Instructional Designer. When not writing articles about how to fire someone without getting sued or why you should really not apply for jobs using your SexxyStud99@aol.com email address, she writes steamy romance novels that feature grown-up Heroes and Heroines.

Another great book by Josie Kerr! Marisol and Wilder's book is the first of the new Richards Security series and it doesn't disappoint - in fact it's a great start to the new series! A night of flirtation with a much younger, handsome man leads to much more then romance author Marisol Schaeffer could ever imagine for one of her romance novels! Marisol and Wilder's story is full of thrills, chills and much, much more! I highly recommend reading it today!

My kind of book! There’s excitement, touches of mystery and new-borne romance. Marisol is an author and now working with producers to make her book into a show; Wilder is her protector against those that try to invade her space or defame her in any way. Richards Security is Wilder’s new life after his military career ended. It’s a great story and perfect sensual scenes that made me keep on reading to The End. Excellent!

Mature woman and a younger hunk

Not a normal situation, older woman with a younger man but it works for Marisol and Wilder. Fun and love, really enjoyed this book.

Oh Wilder!

Josie Kerr does it again with this thrilling romance featuring one super hawt alpha and ... a romance author!

Protecting Marisol has it all from a little suspense to perfectly infused humor at just the right moments.

Now, if you'll excuse me - I need to go find my own personal Wilder.

awesome story

After he’d claimed her in front of Dirk the Dick. After he’d been appropriately appalled about the accident. And after he’d talked her out of a full-blown freakout in the car. Yes, it had been a fake claiming, but it’d still been awesome.
