When an outspoken New Pacific judge is marked for assassination, only Miles Kim stands in the way of a family of high-tech killers-for-hire.
Miles will have to use all his wits and survival skills to protect the judge, a man who has threatened to reveal Miles’ identity to the corporation searching for their missing cyborg.
If the assassins win, they’re both dead. If the judge lives, Miles’ fragile new life in Seraph will be shattered.
I.O. Adler is the author of Shadows of Mars and The Seraph Engine.
I.O. has since worked in television and as a contractor and currently creates content for a video game company.
Besides writing he can be found hiking the hills and trails of California, looking for snakes, insects, and raptors to annoy, and poking dead things with a stick.
Whatever made Miles Kim think he could have a vacation that is restful? He needs to figure out how to get some time for himself that doesn't end up in fights, running, and trying to figure out how twisty life can get. And in protecting others.
The story is fast-paced and lets the reader see more of this fascinating world that Author Adler has built.
I read an early copy of this book and have chosen to review it.
