One Wave: A little book of oneness

Rate this book
An inspirational and uplifting children's book that simplifies concepts of spirituality, manifestation, universal oneness and love to make them accessible to young kids (age 2 - 5) as well as older children and even adults.

Help the youngest readers, older kids, teens and adults understand that they are connected to their loved ones, the Universe, Heaven and God. One Wave is designed for anyone of any faith who wants to empower their children (or inner child) to choose their own path, and to teach them that they have the power to choose love and “heaven on earth” in every moment.

One Wave will bring joy and understanding to kids who have lost a loved one, and inspire others to live with purpose without having to first learn the hard way through trauma and grief. This book can also be used as an easy way to introduce conversations about death, loss, spirituality, mindfulness, meditation and manifestation or as a gift for baby showers, graduations or any family member or friend - perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, parents, teachers, therapists, school social workers.

One Wave makes concepts of spirituality, manifestation, universal oneness and love - found in adult spirituality The Four Agreements; The Tao of Poo and the Te of Piglet; Finding Your Way in a Wild New World, The Secret and The Prophet’s Way - simple and accessible to young kids using the optimism and joy found in Dallas Clayton's An Awesome Book, and Sandra Boynton and Todd Parr's board books and picture books.

Editorial
"One A Little Book of Oneness by Lauren Martin is a children’s picture book about how everything and everyone is connected by energy. The narrative has a wonderfully simplistic approach that will be able to help connect young readers to the message being delivered by the author. At the end of the book, Lauren Martin explains her relationship with spirituality and her journey that started at a very young age. Lauren Martin’s One Wave opened my eyes in many ways. For one, it felt like a literal sign that I was on the right path, and to keep forging ahead. On another level, I viewed it as a beautifully crafted “letter” to the world of how we are meant to live and how we are meant to treat others. The book is going to appeal to readers of all ages, not just young developing minds, but also those with much older hearts. The best kind of book you can read to a child is one that opens your mind and heart as well. The illustrations were also created by the author. She finds a wonderful balance by focusing on the subjects and surrounding them with white space, which brings an even more complete emphasis on the images and what is taking place. The illustrations feel familiar in a nostalgic way, but offer a total newness to the narrative. This is the kind of book that will create a wave of change in anyone who reads it."

A charming children’s book that answers questions about God, heaven, and the purpose of life (non-denominational). With its simple direct approach and supportive illustrations, I’ve enjoyed reading “One Wave” to children and even alone with a cup of coffee – it’s worth reading more than once. Place it on a nearby shelf as a gentle reminder that we’re never alone—we’re all linked together—and that God wants us to use our talents and energies to create a “heaven on earth” for all those around us!

Sweet

Nice little book about how we are all one and can do anything. Cute illustrations. It teaches the idea that heaven is inside you which not all we agree with.
