A new book by Jan Moran is always welcome. I know I can relax and enjoy a little mystery, some clean romance, characters that feel like friends, and a “feel good” ending. And at the core of all her books is a strong, close-knit family.

Even though we are into the eighth book of the series, the story is still fresh. All the favorites are back, and there are a few new characters. Shelly and Mitch’s new baby Daisy gets a lot of attention as this will be the first time most of the family has seen her. I love how Moran keeps the characters evolving and never lets the story become stale.

Ivy and Shelley are hosting a family reunion at the Seabreeze Inn. This is a special treat to the reader as we get to visit with the entire rambunctious Bay clan. But the mysterious (and ghostly?) Amelia Erickson, former owner of the house, has yet another surprise for Ivy and Shelly when some family secrets are exposed. I am eager to see where this takes us in future books.

Another beautifully written story by Jan Moran. I highly recommend this fun, heartfelt series.

No matter how many of these books I read, I want more of them. After finishing Seabreeze Reunion, it’s no different. There just can’t be enough of this wonderful community and the fabulous characters. I want to go and join the fun.

The Bay-Reina family are planning a reunion, but first, Ivy and Shelly have a sorority group taking over the Seabreeze Inn. Once they get through the excitement of that, planning for the family reunion begins. But all doesn’t go smoothly. There are family grudges to try to break through.

Meanwhile, Shelly and Mitch have done DNA testing to make sure all is well with little Daisy. What the results reveal aren’t what was expected. Shelly’s already dealing with the after effects of Daisy’s birth, so dealing with what the DNA test revealed is putting a lot of additional stress on her.

Then Ivy discovers a hidden drawing. Is the spirit of Amelia Erickson at work again? The family, it seems, has secrets that no one imagines.

In the end, all is well, but it’s one heck of a ride discovering what’s going on. These books get better and better as they progress. I can’t wait for the next.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

This is book eight in The Summer Beach series and it continues Ivy and Shelly's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Ivy is doing a reunion party for her parents before they continue there sailing around the world so to get together with all there family and friend's is always something special. When Ivy's mom asks her for a favour she can't refuse as it is something rare for her mom to ask any of them for anything so Ivy hope's that she can pull off this miracle and make her mom's wish come true. When Ivy comes across a hidden sketch questions are raised and curiosity start a roller coaster ride that could either break there family apart or make them whole but as always family and friend's are the most important thing and everyone comes together and embrace the ever evolving situation. Omg this book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting until the early hours of the morning as it was a real page turner and totally addictive. The book's in this series just gets better and better with each one written and I can't wait to read more book's in the future.

This is book 8 in a series. I suggest reading at least books 1 and 2 before this one. But it is not strictly needed.

The book is a continuation of a story about two sisters and their niece, who are restoring and converting a stately old beachfront house to a shabby-chic inn. The house holds a lot of secrets, many of which have been discovered in previous books in the series. This book covers the challenges of running an inn - think about a pool skinny dipping party during a sorority reunion party, or a family reunion where some family members have been estranged for years.

I love this continuing story about characters that I enjoy knowing.

Another wonderful addition to Jan Moran’s A Summer Beach Novel Series, Seabreeze Reunion. This is the eighth book in this series and can be read as a stand-alone, but reading the ones before gives a better background to what is happening! It is always a joy to return to The Seabreeze Inn with Jan Moran. A heartwarming story with all the characters from the previous books and new characters to meet. Ms. Moran does not disappoint, the family drama, secrets, tensions and mystery continue. You will be on a ride of emotions with some twists throughout. This is a great series and I always look forward to the next one.

Thank you Jan Moran and Sunny Palms Press for another heartening story to read and enjoy!!! The opinions expressed are my own.

I loved seeing Ivy, Shelly and the gang again with this time being them organising a reunion and of course there are some challenges in that but with everything they push through it with the support of each other and those around them. With every book there is a reference to Amelia Erickson the previous owner however things have been quiet for the last couple of books about her but I was delighted that she is back and there are new secrets to find out!.

Family Reunions Are Full of Surprises
The Bay family reunion comes on the heels of a Sorority Reunion. Talk about crazy and nearly overbooking! Having the Inn fully booked with all the guests checking in and out on the same day is so much more hectic than they imagined. And it gets more crazy every day! This is a fun read that is all about family relationships and love. This is a great addition to the series. The books are more meaningful when read in order.

Seabreeze Reunion is book 8 in the series. This book could be read alone but the series lets you get to know all of the characters and their quirks. This book focused a lot on Shelly and her new baby, Daisy.
Ivy and Shelly are getting ready for their family reunion. There is a lot of drama along the way, including new relatives to meet, both known and unknown. This book, as the rest of the series, is about family and their love for each other. It is always a treat to read a new Jan Moran book.

Reunions are often fraught with hectic preparations, family arriving from far and wide and who can forget about the food from recipes handed down from generation to generation. But no one could anticipate what was is store for the Bay family reunion.
A very enjoyable book where old wounds are healed and new relationships are revealed. I received an ARC from the author and Booksprout. This review and comments are my honest opinion.

Wonderful series by a great author

I'm sad that the series has ended. Lots of mystery, life changes, interesting characters and, clean romance. It would be nice if another series addressed the new addition to the family, April and June, maybe meeting her birth father? There are so many interesting people in this series, excellent read and a great author.
Highly recommend all Jan Moran books.

Seabreeze Reunion is the latest entry in the Seabreeze series, this is book 8. You could read it as a stand alone but you would be missing out on all the love and drama of the first 7. Do yourself a favor and start at #1. This book is all about family with a twist of mystery and a possible scandal. There are several new characters introduced in this book that I look forward to learning more about. Of course you catch up with the existing characters. I will say that there are times when the characters overreact a bit, but this a high drama family. My thanks to the publisher and author for providing an advance copy for review. A robust story of family, secrets, a little mystery and a huge family reunion. These characters will keep you reading to see what they discover, how they handle the discovery and how a large family can reconnect and reunite. I enjoyed this book thoroughly and can't wait for the adventures to continue!

I found this installment of the Bay Family slightly boring and superficial. All of the excitement is reserved for last few pages where it abruptly ends.
I do love all the characters in these books and recommend reading earlier books in the series before the Seabreeze Reunion.

Very good book

This is the next installment in a series of books about the Bay family. As I always advise, please start with book one. You cannot understand the dynamics of the current story without the backstory. Ivy finds her late husband has used all their money on a huge house on the beach, one he was going to remodel for him and his mistress. Each book has it's own theme. All the books are good.

Seabreeze Reunion was such a fun read. I loved the coming together of the whole Bay family. There was some mystery, and some tension, but I enjoyed how the heart of the story was family. I love this series and all the characters of Sunset Beach. A great read that feels like you are a part of the reunion catching up with all your friends and family.

Thank you to the publisher for an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

I have enjoyed the entire Summer Beach series, and Jan Moran’s latest release, Seabreeze Reunion, just added another winner for me. I loved the interactions between all the quirky and unique family members that made this story so entertaining. It is a good story, an easy read and will no doubt lead us to new adventures in the historical house which still has a few secrets hidden in it’s walls!

Seabreeze Reunion brings the Bay and Rana Families together at The Seabreeze Inn for a weekend of fun and surprises. Shelly and Mitch decide to have their DNA tested after the birth of their daughter Daisy which leads to be a big surprise for the Bay Rana clan. Carlotta wants to reunite with sister Maya who she has been estranged from for many years. Ivy meets her difficult cousin Diana and Shelly copes with postpartum depression after Daisy's birth. It wouldn't be Summer Beach without a little mystery and this time a drawing of a woman resembling Ivy is found at the inn. How does this woman tie into the inn and Amelia Erickson? What secrets will be revealed this time?

Jan Moran creates some wonderful characters who after so many books you feel like you know them. At end of each series she gives recipes of drinks or food used in the books. I love this feel good summer series.

Notes below the line are for me to remember
-----------------------------------

1. Shelly gets help to cope with her postpartum depression through a therapy group for young mothers, yoga, and help from Carlotta. Ivy doesn't realize her sister is suffering from postpartum depression until her mother lets her know and Ivy steps up to help Shelly as well.

2. Shelly's DNA results show that there is a relative living right in Crown Island. Eventually the reader learns the relative is daughter of Carlotta and Maya's sister Pilar. Her name is April. She has two daughter May and June.

3. Carlotta and Maya reunite after many years apart. The drawing is shown to Maya and she identifies the drawing is her middle sister Pilar. The drawing was completed by Pilar's boyfriend Flavio. Pilar as a young woman was pregnant by Flavio, but they couldn't marry because he was promised to marry a young woman from a prominent family in Spain. Prior to him leaving to return to Spain he decides to propose to Pilar anyway. Pilar is so excited she jumps into Maya's car and flies out of the driveway. Not knowing how to drive Pilar is in a terrible accident and dies. Maya blamed herself for Pilar's death and stopped talking to the family. Pilar was sent to live with Amelia Erickson because she was pregnant and unmarried that is how the drawing showed up at The Seabreeze Inn.

4. It turns out the child survived which was April. She was adopted by a loving family because at the time she was a child out of wedlock. Carlotta and Maya's family never knew the baby (April) survived the accident. She produces a birth certificate which is the same day as Pilar's death. A gold necklace with a rose engraved on a heart along with a handkerchief with the initials PR. After Maya sees all of this she remembers stitching the handkerchief and April and daughter June are accepted as part of the Bay Rana family.

Bringing the Families Together

Again, I found myself at Summer Beach staying in the Seabreeze Inn. I have enjoyed all the books in this series but this one differed, in my mind, a little in the tone.

It seemed there was a lot of reminiscing and worrying about the future, mostly on Ivy’s part. She seemed overly concerned about life and death, especially her parent’s lives and their inevitability deaths. Their lives are so happy that I hate to see people worrying about things that cannot be controlled. Also, Carlotta and Sterling ( parents) are in their seventies which, at one time, would have been considered elderly but these days, people in their seventies remain active and vital in their communities and families.

The story revolved around a couple events with a sorority reunion beginning it. A ten-year reunion of a college group had its crazy times and was rather fun to see a group of women behaving in the way we sometimes would expect a fraternity to be acting. But, after the group of women left, it was time for Ivy, Shelley, and Poppy to prepare for the influx of family for a long-awaited reunion. The reader learns more about the family background and coincidences from the past, which ( in some cases) seemed a bit of a stretch.

Throughout the story, we see some personal growth in characters and in relationships, which is nice to see. That is a nice thing about a series…it allows an author to give background and allow for a future of ongoing characters. In this series, I do want to see what happens to some characters along with the further connections with the Coral Cottage series, set in the same community.

As I picture the places central to the story line, I often wonder if the author has based the individual spots on actual places. I see everything clearly in my mind and often wonder how close I am.

This is the eighth book in the Summer Beach (Seabreeze Inn) series, and it was just as enjoyable as the first seven! I’ve also read all the Coral Cottage series, and love those characters, too. What keeps me coming back? Fun story lines, sparkling dialogue and real-life situations. With each new book, it’s like reconnecting with old friends while vacationing along the California coast.

We continue to follow Ivy and Shelly Bay, their husbands and family, as they prepare for a huge reunion of the Bay and Reina families. This story, like the others in the series, has a bit of mystery and secrets (both within the Seabreeze Inn and within the families), but also touches on family relationships—between spouses, parents and children, and siblings—the challenges and joys of running an Inn, postpartum depression, and forgiveness. As always, there are great food descriptions, lots of fun characters and some new ones that will appear in Ms. Moran’s new series, Beach View Lane (the first book will be out in February 2023—can’t wait!).

For anyone who has read none of the books in the series, you can get a good feel for Ivy, Shelly, Bennett and the other characters thanks to the way Jan weaves some of their background stories into this installment. However, if you want to really get to know everyone and lose yourself in the beautiful California Coast (think Del Mar and Coronado Island), I suggest you at least read the first installment (and you might just get hooked).

I received an advanced reader’s copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Ivy and Shelly are getting ready to host a family reunion. It is hectic at the Seacbreeze Inn with guests coming and going and the ladies are trying to keep up. With Shelly just having a baby, it is also a new adjustment. Carlotta, their mother also really wants to reconnect with a long lost relative, and has left the task to Ivy to see that this special guest arrives. When Shelly decides to do a DNA test, the whole reunion may be at jeopardy. Special guests, unexpected surprises and a new mystery will all unfold at the Seabreeze Inn.
Jan Moran has blessed her readers with this eighth book in the Summer Beach Series. There is a mystery unfolding as we dive deeper into the mysterious lives of the woman who previously lived in the house, which kept me turning pages to see what happened next. The story is beautifully written and I enjoyed visiting with all the characters that I have come to love. Ms. Moran also gives us a little teaser about a new series coming soon. My humble thanks to Jan Moran for the opportunity to read and review this book which I did voluntarily. Friends if you are looking for a clean, family story set in a small community, look no further. The Summer Beach series ranks number one for me.

Another easy reading book in the Summer Beach series! While it technically is the 8th book, each one could be read independently... but it certainly helps to really understand the dynamics of the house if you've read the others.

As with all of the books, Ivy uncovers a new secret at Seabreeze Inn, and it eerily seems very relevant to her.

Meanwhile, her sister, Shelly, is a new mom and working through those tough first weeks with a newborn.

Their mom is back for a short layover from their yearlong sailing trip and wants to get the whole family together for a family reunion. Ivy agrees to host it at the Inn and promises her mom that she'll track down some estranged family members.

Of course, some unexpected secrets are uncovered as well!

Sadly Disappointed

I was so excited to continue this series, but was so disappointed in this book. First, it took me until chapter six to finally get interested, thanks to Diana making her debut ( but then Diana becomes pretty much nonexistent). The reunion was focused on Carlotta and Sterling, yet their characters lacked interaction. Suddenly, the book ended. I've enjoyed all of Jan Moran's books so far, but not this one. Not worth what I paid. Now questioning Book 9 and her new series.

Jan Moran has quickly become one of my favorite authors. The Seabreeze characters have become old friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our family reunion. While it is very easy to pick up the tale of the Seabreeze Inn with Seabreeze Reunion, make sure to go back and learn all about Ivy and Shelly in the Seabreeze Inn. Then go on to read the other books centered around a lovely town you'll want to visit!.

In the new installment on the Summer Beach series we found ourselves immersed in the preparations of a Bay-Reyna family reunion, although this book can be read as a standalone, with some events left to your imagination, it is better to read at least books 1 and 2 beforehand to get a full picture and understanding of the history and full family dynamics.

We get the full family interactions with new discovered members, a blast from the past and reconciliations that make this book a feel good story to read.

The secrets of the house play again a pivotal role in helping this family heal old family rifts and discover new members.

I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read book 9 of the series.

This book continues the story of Ivy and Shelly with interesting characters and insightful storytelling. While exploring family dynamics and the range of emotions family reunions can evoke, we learn of another Seabreeze Inn secret. This is a worthy addition to this series. The story shows the characters growth as individuals and as a family I highly recommend this book on its own but if like me you have enjoyed all the books in this series don’t miss this one.

Although this book can be read as a standalone I recommend you start this series from book one so you get the full story of The Seabreeze Inn. This is a well written, heartwarming, and fun story that pulled me in and held my attention until the last page. From the well developed and quirky characters to the great storyline Seabreeze Reunion is another great addition to the Summer Beach series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

A Reunion with friends

I loved reading this book, already knowing every character’s history. As always, there are the unexpected developments, which make her books so difficult to put down. I’m disappointed I’ve read the book so fast. Now I’m done. I think I will go back and reread the entire series. Again.
