Caraway is a girl unable to deal with the weight of her present circumstances. Antigone is a woman crippled by her past. When the two of them meet, their stories unfold in a way they never could have imagined. As Antigone reminisces on her adventures in Ecuador and Post-Cultural Revolution China, Caraway learns to come to terms with what feels like an insurmountable grief. Together, the two of them help each other understand the value of remembering the ones they've lost, as well as investing in the lives of those who are still around them. Join Caraway and Antigone on this heartwarming journey of friendship, adventure, and loss—and discover just how much can be learned from the artifacts of our past.

I was absolutely absorbed into this book. The story made me laugh and cry. The feelings and lessons were so relatable to anyone’s life. My first book of 2025 but being 55 years old it’s definitely one of my favorite reads ever.
