Many errors

I was thrilled to read this at first, the book fell flat for me. Don't get me wrong it was alright but I guess I wasn't thrilled with the heroine actually cheating on her husband. I understand she wasn't attracted to him but you would think since everyone focused on her "beauty" and she didn't like it. She wouldn't have been so caught up that he wasn't perfect.

Besides that the Author should edit the book and fix the errors. This was worse than the first book!

Enjoyed the third book in this series that follows Imelda and Dimitri’s story. I loved the concept of this book being that she was given away to a man who is disgusting inside and out and her saviour is Dimitri however I felt compared to the other books, there were some things that didn’t make this a 5-star read for me. I thought the story was a bit rushed in the end and I would have liked for the demise of Dario to have been written a bit better as it just seemed too sudden.
I also felt that the story relied on Dimitris unwillingness to pay for a wife at the auction but it didn’t seem realistic that he would allow this woman to put up with a disgusting man like Dario on the principal of not wanting to “buy a wife”. I wish there was a stronger reason that he couldn’t have just bid on her and claimed her. Finally the Insta-love in the beginning wasn’t super realistic as they just encountered one another for a moment and they were already consumed with each other.

Overall their chemistry and the premise of the story warrants a 4/5 star rating but those minor things I mentioned prevented me from giving a full 5-star review.

Imelda is the third of the Conti sisters, always obedient and upright, a great lover of sewing, used to making dresses for herself and her sisters.
The day has come for her to go to the auction just like her 2 older sisters did, but her father has already chosen a husband for her, she goes to the auction knowing who is going to bid for her. What she doesn't know is that at the auction she is going to meet the leader of the Bratva, Dimitri, and they immediately feel a strong connection.
But Dimitri doesn't believe in buying a wife, he wants to remarry for love.
So Imelda marries Darío, but Dimitri manages to continue being part of Imelda's life.
Until Imelda's well-being and life is in danger and he knows he has to intervene.
It has enchanted me, very romantic.

Ricardo Conti has to be the absolute WORST father in the world. His greed and irresponsibility has once again lead to the selling of yet another daughter. This time he picks her husband and has him attend the underground auction to bis on his third daughter Imelda.

Imelda has always been the most coveted of Conti's 4 daughters. Gorgeous, Dutiful, Resourceful and Obedient. Imelda accepts her fate to be married to a man who simply makes her want to vomit everytime she looks at him. Things change the day of the auction when she accidentally stumbles into Dimitri Belov the head of the Russian Bravta.

Dimitri is immediately smitten but refuses to partake in an auction that sells women as brides. He will only take a Bride who loves him and chooses to be with him and not an arranged marriage. Dimitri is totally enamored with Imelda as he watches her accept her fate as a newly married wan to a man she despises. Imelda and Dimitri know they belong together but it isn't easy when dealing with the Mafia.

This story proves that true love conquers all. What Ricardo Conti has done to his daughters for his good ended up being for his daughters good in the end. Eva; the oldest daughter was sold to the leader of the Italian Mafia; Greta, Conti's second born was sold to the Leader of the Irish Mafia and now Imelda got her HEA with the leader of the Russian Mafia. Each daughter received a HEA and takes pleasure in knowing that their father will NEVER receive another dime for marrying them off.

Ricardo Conti has only one daughter left who is 16 years old and he is already counting down the years when he can sell her off. Eva, Greta and Imelda has no idea what will be in store for their youngest sister but they hope and pray she ends up like them.

This is the 3rd book in the series and I have to say I like the way the author went with this one. This is the story of Imelda (the 3rd sister in the Conti family) and Dimitri. Imelda was the prettiest one of the 4 sisters and was always “shown off” by her father. She always felt like that’s all anyone saw and she didn’t feel like anyone saw her. Imelda’s father has already picked out a husband (Dario) for her, but she still has to go to auction. Imelda is not happy at all and cannot stand the even look at Dario. Dimitri is part of the Russian Bratva and his views on women are a lot different than others – he does not want to buy a woman, he wants a woman to be with him because she wants to, Dimitri’s mother pretty much forces him to attend the auction as he needs a new wife to be a mother to his daughter.

At the auction, Dimitri and Imelda run into each other and the sparks fly. One kiss and they both are breathless. When Dimitri doesn’t purchase her at the auction, she is a little hurt, but Dimitri finds a way to tell her that he will see her again. This story brings back the romance, has some violence, and shows that not all Bratva men believe in arranged marriages or buying women. Loved the story and loved the characters. All this leaves for the Conti father is little Sienna. He only has one more daughter he can sell off now. I would love for someone to put him in his place.

Sometimes you just gotta finish a book in one sitting and get angry with the main characters. I get their reasonings I do but at the same time why do you gotta be so... foolish? I really loved this book and I cannot wait to see what this author has in store for her next books!.

Imelda is the favorite of her father, Ricardo Conti, but she is still used to better the family and put up for auction as were her sisters Eva & Greta. When his mother convinces Dimitri to attend the next auction even though he has no intention of buying a wife he runs into Imelda. He is instantly smitten, but would never buy a human being. When Imelda is sold to another, Dimitri can not forget about her, so he finds a way to do business with her husband to get close to her. The book is full of sizzle, steam, twists, turns, action, drama, and more. All of the Mafia Wives books are available to read for free with Kindle Unlimited and worth a binge reading weekend.

Forbidden Vows is the mafia romance between Imelda, the daughter of an Italian mafia boss who promises her to Dario de Santa’s who is a horrible low level mob boss, and Dimitri Belov, a widower and head of the New York Bratva. Even though Imelda is promised to her father puts her up for auction as a bride. Dimitri attends the auction at his mother’s request and instantly falls for Imelda but does not buy her. Dimitri must figure out a way to obtain Imelda as his wife even though she is married to Dario. This is a fantastic addition to this series by Ivy Davis.

Dimitri MF Belov 🔥🔥🔥🔥
A mafia romance where the FMC has an affair *gasps*
I’m fully against the cheating trope… but in this context I was ALL IN BABY!!!!
Imelda’s first husband is a piece of shit, a monster. Not in a “hot morally grey mafia daddy” way but in an abusive, cruel and vile way. He deserves nothing but pain and death.
Dimitri was Imelda’s first kiss, he refused to buy her hand in marriage *swoons* and wants to woo her… unfortunately the first husband (he who shall not be named) already had a plan in place to buy her hand.
But Daddy Dimitri was determined to get his girl and lord have mercy did he do it!!!!!!
Everything about this story was PERFECTION!
I bloody loved it! 🖤

Half a star.

This was terrible. Truly and utterly terrible.

Scary, hard, brutal mafia guy goes to the wife auction. He sees the girl of his dreams (and meets her) and then won't bid on her because he has scruples over buying another human being. Kudos to him if he was in the real world, but he's in the mafia book world and it just didn't work. Especially when the whole of the rest of the drivel was him and the heroine tying to get rid of her husband. Roll eyes.

Thank goodness this took an hour to read.

This is another great installment in this series. The drama of being a part of the mafia of course is part of the situation, but the characters make their way through the drama.
The only problem I did have with this story was the cheating, but that's a personal no, not a reflection on the story or the book.

Now, Imelda and Dimitri’s story is my favorite. From them falling in Love from the moment they seen each other, to Dimitri seeking out Dario as a business partner to get closer to Imelda, to them sneaking around….lol! I loved their relationship from start to finish, and it’s one that Ivy Davis hasn’t done before. And let’s just talk about the dumb as a box of rocks housekeeper and they other staff in Dario’s house that didn’t go and hide when they heard the guards being killed….lol; I was like wow, they were foolish and ended up dead. And I loved honey Anna and Dimitri’s mother took so well to Imelda, and they all become one big happy and loving family. 💜💜💜💜💜

I would rather have enjoyed it more without the Dario character.

Sexy, romantic men. Beautiful, innocent women, one horrible asshole father. Yep sound like the making to a great series. Loved them all.

Buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously dark story 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, a debt paid by an innocent girl arranged marriage more like it, secrets, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe love.
By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
This is the third book in The Mafia Wives series and one of the four sisters Imelda to married off just like her sister before her but all her life she had felt like a piece of art shown off, paraded around by her father, but inside she is quiet, doesn’t feel like she isn’t seen for herself, her father hasn’t learned yet because he has accrued more debt and so far his girls have had to pay for the gambling debt (which isn’t fair but it is their way) but selling off his girls to help offset the debt to other mafia men and just as before he has an intended picked out for her but she can’t stand being in the same room with the man let alone near him however, he father could careless that the man only wants her for her beauty she has no other meaning or so it seems. She wants to just kind of see the auction mansion not expecting to run into anyone, but she literally bumps into the Don himself. Dimitri sexy as all get out Bratva Don who hasn’t found that one that makes him want to be a good man, he wants what his brothers have found and while ensuring the auction hall is set, he runs into the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. The attraction is insanely intense from that moment that neither of them can walk away so they mouths take on a mind of their own and start kissing and that one kiss rocks both their worlds. She left an impression on him and he on her with her wishing he would bid on her but he never bids he doesn’t believe women are to be sold they aren’t object but don’t get it twisted doesn’t mean he is going to allow the man who was chosen by her father to have her either even if that means taking him out of the picture completely only if Imelda give him the okay. So much happens from the time of the auction will the man intended to have her take her or will Dimitri stop it all, will her father learn his lesson allowing the last sister to live, and is there a dark delicious HEA for these two and a lesson for the horrible man the call father?.

Mafia Romance ✅
Forbidden attraction-love ✅
Arranged/Forced Marriage ✅
Age-Gap ✅
Secrets ✅

Forbidden Vows is the third book in the “An Arranged Marriage Mafia” series. I am on author Ivy Davis’s arc reading team and have read all of her other books. I have been waiting for Imelda’s turn. Book one we get her sister Eva’s story and book two her sister Greta’s story.

Imelda is Riccardo Conti’s third daughter. The most beautiful one. Quiet, proper, most well behaved, and “perfect.” With an old mafioso father who is drowning in gambling debts. Riccardo Conti has taken it upon himself to use his daughters to get money by selling them off in an auction for mafia men looking to buy a bride. But this time he changed things up. He has Imelda’s intended already picked out for her. A man who is only after her for her beauty. She can not stand being near him.

Wanting to rebel a bit, Imelda sneaks off the auction mansion to explore a bit. That’s when she bumps into Bratva Don Dimitri Belov. The attraction was insta, pushing Imelda to share her first kiss with him. With hopes that he would bid on her and win her hand away from her intended, it never happens, he never bids.

But only because he has principles and does not believe that a man should buy a bride but woo her. He is strong, protected but caring and doesn’t believe in ownership of a wife. Just because he didn’t bid, doesn’t mean he plans on letting her new husband keep her for long. He’ll remove her husband to have her. Dimitri just wants to be sure it's what Imelda wants, for herself not due to her situation.

They are playing a dangerous game. What happens if they get caught?

I loved all the stories so far but I was a bit upset that Imelda was a bit reckless without considering anyone elses safety. But I understand her situation especially with that creep of a husband being so handsy. I disliked Eva in this book when she was making a cameo appearance. She agreed to go to the auction to protect her sisters. But now she’s only about her husband and sorta brushed Imelda to the side in a way that ehhh. I enjoy the characters, the drama, and the way Dimitri handles Conti. If you want a sweet, quick fast pace read this is it. Engaging and with plenty of chemistry and certain moments has you holding your breath.

Enjoyable reading.

This is the 3rd book in the Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance series by Ivy Davis and it’s the story of Imelda, the 3rd daughter of the worst father in the world Ricardo Conti, and Dimitri Belov, the head of the Russian Bratva. The father has already picked out a husband for her, but she still has to go to auction. She can’t stand the future husband and at the auction she meets Dimitri. He refuses to buy her as he wants a woman to be with him because she wants to. This story brings back the romance as it proves that true love conquers all. I liked the book a lot, it’s well written, has nicely developed characters, some violence, lots of passion. Now, Conti has only one more daughter to sell off. I can’t wait for the next book.

This is the 3rd book in the Mafia Wives series, but can be read as a standalone. Just as compelling as the last 2 books and following in the same footsteps as her sisters. Straight to the point and so much in this storyline.

Once again, another daughter, Imelda, of Ricardo Conti comes of age and is the next in line to be sold at auction. He doesn’t care who they go to, just as long as it’s to the highest bidder. And that bidder was Dario, who she despises. But she runs into Dimitri, only there as his mother forced him to go to find a wife and mother for his daughter. It was live at first sight, or kids, but he doesn’t believe in buying women and promises to see her again.

This is a dark mafia, Bratva following the Conti women. And now there only Sienna left. Full of action, chemistry, steam, secrets, danger, drama and so much more. Can’t wait for the next book.

I received this arc and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

Imelda had turned twenty years old and had her suspicions that her father would soon put her up for auction as he’d done with her both her older sisters. For years her fathers friends and associates had openly ogled her because she was such a stunningly beautiful young woman. It made her feel as if her beauty was a curse.
She kept herself holed up in her bedroom creating beautiful clothes for herself and her sisters to wear.
But her father threw her a curve ball. He introduced her to Dario de Santis
a man who instantly made her skin crawl. Ironically, he worked for Gabriel Moretti, Eva’s husband. But he was low level. He made his money through gambling. He’d already arranged to pay her father, but her father still wanted her to be displayed at the auction as a way to let everyone know just how much money his beautiful daughter had made him.
Dimitri Belov, the head of the Russian Bratva was persuaded by his mother to attend the auction. He’d no intention of buying himself a bride. He wanted to date, to woo, to fall in love. When he accidentally ran into Imelda behind the scenes, they were both immediately attracted and drawn to each other. He wanted her. But he wouldn’t buy her. He’d somehow save her and make her his own, with her falling for him willingly….
This was another excellent addition to this series. Imelda and Dimitri’s chemistry is off the charts and the passion they share made this a really enjoyable read. The scheming to save Imelda, and her fathers interference yet again caused a few issues for the sisters. Brilliant.

Imelda knows her day is coming, her father has auctioned off both her sisters in marriage at the same age she is. When her father introduces her to the man who is ready to pay two million dollars for her, she finds him repulsive. It is not a done deal he will have to win her at the auction.

Dimitri Belov goes the bridal auction only because he promised his mother he would go, but buying a bride is repulsive to him. When he sees her, he knows they are meant to be, he will have to find away.

Can Imelda keep her husband at bay until Dimitri finds a way to get rid of her husband? Does Dimitri have feelings for her or does he just see only her beauty?

This is a steamy suspenseful read, with some dark undertones. Yet another story where you want to beat the woman's father, such a horrid individual.

This is the 3rd story in The Mafia Wives Series and this time it’s Imelda’s turned to be auctioned to pay her father’s gambling debt. This time around he finds a older man, Dario to agree to pay 2 million dollars. Imelda will participate in the auction to show everyone how much his daughter is worth and to make it all legal. Imelda meets Dario ahead of time and finds him old, rude and makes her sewing seem very childish and she’s disappointed. Her father has never made a good decision for any of her sisters or her so she knows she’s stuck with no way out. Prior to the auction starting Imelda walks around the building and meets a stranger, Dimitri a handsome and kind man who she shares her 1st kiss with. In their short time together they both find themselves attracted to one another but Dimitri refuses to be in another arranged marriage and wants to find love and only attends to satisfy his mother to find a mom for his little girl. When Dimitri can not forget about Imelda he finds a way to due business with her husband to get close to her. There are twist and evilness that will come at Imelda and to see her fight the entire way to what she wants and stands up for herself will help her in the end. I think Ivy Davis's writing is getting better with every book! I thought Greta was my favorite sister until I read Imelda's story. Once I started the book I couldn't put it down! Imelda is being auctioned for marriage by her father like her two older sisters Eva and Greta. He's once again broke spending his money gambling and buying drugs. He's already lined up a husband for her to marry and get paid 2 million dollars but he still wants her to go through with the auction so people will know how much his daughters are worth. While waiting for the auction to begin Imelda wonders around the mansion that the auction is being held at. She runs into Dimitri, who is a single dad that is the head of the Russian mafia, in a hallway and the two instantly feel the connection they share. After a few kisses they know they are meant to be together. However, Dimitri won't bid on her because he doesn't want to pay for a bride he wants his bride to want him for love. So she has to marry the man her dad has arranged. I don't want to spoil anything but this is where the "action😉" and suspense starts. In the end there is a mothers engagement ring involved. 😊.

4.5 Stars!! This is the third book in the series though it can be read as a standalone. Imelda Conti is the prettiest of all the sisters. She is the standout, and her father wants to get the most when he auctions her off. She can't believe he made a deal with someone though still makes her go through the auction. While at the auction house, she accidentally meets Demitri. There was a connection between the two of them though Dario is only there to appease his mother, who says he needs to remarry so his daughter will have a mother. Imelda hopes he bids on her, but he doesn't, and Dario de Santis wins her for two million dollars. Demitri can't get her out of his head. How can he get her now that she is pledged to another? Dario is so pleased with getting his lovely bride that he actually is willing to wait to consummate the marriage. Imelda charms him into waiting until she is ready as they have the rest of their lives together, right? She met with Demitri prior to her wedding, and he says he has a plan to get her. She hopes he does. This was a good story with a bunch of twists and turns. It is an easy one-click.

This is the third in the mafia wives series and I loved it just as much as the other two.

It follows a different thread than the previous two books, and this enhanced the story.

Imelda has always been the perfect daughter, the most beautiful and the most well behaved. When it's her time to be sold at auction her father has a surprise, he already has a husband picked out.

while in the auction mansion Imelda sneaks off and explores, there she meets Dimitri, Older, Handsome and an instant spark forms between the two. They share a kiss, Imelda's first act of rebellion and then the auction begins.

I don't want to give too much away with this one, but it is so well written, captivating and the love story is pure and sweet.

Dimitri is a killer and head of the Bratvia but he is also kind, loving, caring and principled. Both he and Imelda want to marry for love, not because money has exchanged hands, or because of male ownership. It makes things tricky but overall worth it.

Imelda learns that it's okay to say no and put herself first and Dimitri learns that he can't control everything and freedom is paramount.

Overall this is a great book, lots of drama, steam, character development and a HEA .
