Trained by the Bratva Prince

Rate this book
"Marry him or die. Your choice."
After Jessalyn Hernandez witnesses a brutal murder, she has two terrible choices. She is a survivor. But will she survive this? Especially when he learns about her family's police background. He calls her his little dove. But he will learn that this dove has talons and will rip his bloody heart from his body.
Sanyet Ismailov, doesn't leave witnesses. But when his new sister-in-law begs for the life of her friend, he marries her instead of murdering her. An easy choice since the curvy, shy, Afro-Latina has haunted him from day one. He only needs two things from her, her body and her honesty. He'll take one, but will she give him the other? He doubts it. She's hiding something and he knows it.
Time is running out and if he can't trust her, then he'll be the one to make a terrible choice.
Trained by the Bratva Prince takes place immediately after the events in Taken by the Bratva Prince. It is a standalone book but the books are BEST enjoyed in the series release order.

Jailaa West grew up on the southside of Chicago. She fell hard for romance books in junior high school when she got her first book boyfriend. Aww, she remembers it like it was yesterday. That first kiss. When he swore his undying love. When they married in the epilogue. When it ended. Say what now? She quickly found another book boyfriend and then another and yet another. She’s been book-in-love quite a few times now and she loves it as much as the first time.
Books have always given her a happy place; a heart full of hope, love, and a light when the world seemed dark. She hopes to do the same for her readers.

This is book two of this series. It was extremely engaging. I loved how the men are very strong alphas but who is stronger - the men or the women they love? I am voting for the women. On to the next in series.

Horrible

I love a dominant man, but the Mc kept threatening to kill her if she does not do what he wants. He kept trying to train her a bird. Jess had no voice they made her a weak shell of a woman. He did not respect her at all, threatening to kill someone to claim to love every five seconds because she does not want to obey your ridiculous rules, which is absurd. This is why i prefer the italian mafia series at least they love with passion, respect, and honor.

Very entertaining. Abrupt ending.

Our h and H were worthy opponents of each other, though the power scale was tipped slightly in favor of our H in the beginning. The h was educated and like most people, willing to take advantage of a high risk opportunity to help her family overcome dire circumstances. She held her ground when she wasn't running for her life or sanity. Our H was broody but patient. He waited for his moment to capture his prey and had the skills to ensnare her in a seduction she didn't see coming until she was too caught up to fight.
I prefer the shorter stories but still appreciate a satisfying conclusion that fills in the gaps. It's hard to create that in a short space, but after enjoying the flow of action and seduction and family drama, it is like a rug is pulled from under you when the story wraps mid scene and folks are waiting outside the door to finish a conversation.

Cool

It's a forced marriage "romance" that is just like the countless others, forced marriage is such a popular trope in this genre, it's a bit disappointing that it's still being used without any deviation. It's the same plot beats. I thought we were in for a different ride in the beginning because Jessa was kind of firece in the car with petur but she's the same boring, good girl who was attracted to her husband while whining about him being in the mafia. Bw authors pls add some spice to your bw heroines. We've read about the good girl with the bad boy a million times. Maybe have a forced marriage with heroine who isn't scared of her husband's lifestyle, a woman who can hold her own & not act like a petulant child. It's been done to death!!!! I will also say the overuse use of metaphors overwhelmed the dialog

Sanyet and Jessalyn.

Both dealt with heavy and traumatic experiences as children. Both came out of their situations stronger but also a little damaged.

One word...THERAPY.

While Sanyet falls into his family business and becomes the "enforcer" for his family, Jessalyn is allowed to live a normal life. Until meeting the Ismailov's that is.

We go from a simple task of tutoring, to the rush marriage of Jessalyn and Sanyet, and somehow we are supposed to believe that no one in the Ismailov family did a simple background check? That part blows my mind more than anything else. The lack of follow-up and the want to trust just falls flat when the basic work was not done.

As much as I wanted to love these two together, they were living in an unrealistic reality and the problem didn't feel fully solved.

Sanyet and Jessalyn are explosive together!!

This story was so explosive right at the start. Jessalyn was forced to marry Sanyet after she witnessed Sanyet taking care of business.
Sanyet and Jessalyn's story was a rollercoaster full of drama, passion, lust, sexual tension, secrets and lies. Jailaa West created an amazing second book in this series. I loved how vulnerable Sanyet and Jessalyn were with each other. How they fought their attraction to each other only to realize they needed and wanted each other desperately. Their story was sooo wild and highly charged with passion, danger and love. Their HEA was wicked and so worth reading.

Family was everything to all of them

Jessalyn Hernandez was forced to marry Sanyet Ismailov, the Ismailov Bratva crazy enforcer to save her life as a wife can not be forced to bear witness against her husband. But Jess was determined to find a way to escape him and not be kept like one of his birds he trained in a gilded cage. In their new marriage, they soon realize they are both the same sides of the same coin experiencing traumatic events in their young lives that molded them into the adults they now were. They both had secrets, but it was Jess' secret that would keep the family she loved safe and allow her and Sanyet to have their HEA

Loved It

I loved this book, but I was disappointed by the ending. I felt that it should have gone on longer. We could have seen how Sanyet trained Jessa like he does his birds. This was such a good story line that it left you wanting more. I loved how Jessa challenged Sanyet who felt that he should only have to say it once and that’s it. I can’t wait to read about the other brothers. Now I did have to skip over the sex scenes because it was too graphic for me. Excellent story line, a recommended read

Twin Flames Sanyet and Jessa!🔥🔥

Trained by the Bratva Prince ( The Ismailovs Book 2) Sanyet and Jessa are Twin Flames. Both are born to protect. They experienced the same trauma at a young age. This trauma shaped them into who they become as adults. Sanyet and Jessa are ruthless and they are each other's destiny. When they come together it's explosive!! 💕

Two families

Sanyet and Jessalyn became the most important thing to each other and their family were in the middle so decisions had to be made from both.

Good reading

Takes my mind away. I fell for a bad boy in high school but he was so sweet to me. I was so not worldly at all

Another great addition to the series

This was a mix of dark and light. Every book in this series and the Savage Security system connects but are so different

Unfinished Ending

Would have like to see how she convinced her uncles to go home and not target the Ismailovs!!!! Opportunity missed. Wonder if it’s mentioned in book 3?
